I wanted to share with all of you how to make these Mini Pinwheel Cards, so I put together a few more with the All Is Bright Designer Paper and the Clear & Gold Faceted Gems and then shared the step-by-steps in my Wednesday Facebook Live Broadcast. This was also a good opportunity for me to share with you all the exciting promotions happening now and coming up.
I uploaded the recorded version of this video to my YouTube channel (since I know not everyone is ON Facebook). Be sure to watch the video (you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog), check out the measurements and full products list below, scroll through the close-up photos of the Mini Pinwheel Cards/Pouches, and then let me know if you have any questions. I think you’ll enjoy what I have to share.
Here are the measurements you’ll need if you plan to recreate the cute Poinsettia Mini Pinwheel Card/Pouch (in the video I share how these can be more like a gift pouches, too). And below and above are close-up photos of most of the ones that I shared in the video.

On September 22nd I shared a tutorial video for my “DSP-Saver Card.” I hope you saw it. In that video I shared all sorts of projects that were in my presentation at the Creative Connections event on September 16th. There were a TON of projects and thus a TON of photos. I finally had time to edit, watermark and upload them all. Yay!
Click here to see the project photos and video that I posted on September 22nd.
Click here to see the Vertical Stretch fun fold cards that I shared on September 25th.
Then look below to see photos of (and read a couple tips on) the rest of the projects that were in my Creative Connections presentation.
A big thanks to fellow demonstrator, Marciene Ingram who gave me this pretty birthday card below which led to me designing all the other versions above!
The Frosted Floral designer paper is super pretty especially in person because it shimmers. So it just makes sense to make these elegant gift bags with them. Click here for a tutorial on how to make a bag like this.
Here are a couple more cards I put together using 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ squares of the Frosted Floral designer series paper (DSP).
I sponged on and stamped on Shimmer Paint on the Night of Navy cardstock. 🙂
This flower’s petals come from the leaves in the Iridescent Wreaths.
And here is the card that inspired me to make the two above. This one below as a make-n-take at my upline, Susan Campfield demonstrator event.
I didn’t make these next two “joy fold” cards below, but I’m happy I got them as swaps from Carol Lucas. They were fun to share during my Creative Connections presentation.
And these last two cards that I made just show how you can stray from the designer paper in the suite AND the colors from that designer paper in the suite to give the stamp images a whole new look. These products are so versatile!
Sorry I don’t have details for every card/project shown above. But sometimes I just have to flood you with lots of ideas! I hope you didn’t mind.
We celebrated my oldest turning 13 yesterday. (Can you believe it?! He was only 7 when I first started blogging.) My goal was to share my September 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit alternate ideas with you today, but I didn’t finish editing my video yet. I’m crossing my fingers that my projects and video will be up tomorrow though. Please come back to see what I created with the Frights & Delights kit.

On June 14th I shared a Facebook Live recorded broadcast where I showed three ideas using our mini gable boxes. One of those altered gable box ideas (which I used as my 3-D cruise swap) reminded Fran (one of my viewers) of a tool box. I’m SO glad she mentioned that thought! I of course HAD to make one!
For this tool box, you’ll want to open up the gable box completely so you can stamp everywhere – the inside and outside. Don’t worry about stamping the entire handle areas as they will get trimmed off (and your stamp won’t reach anyway). And the very bottom of the box (where it closes) doesn’t matter much either.
After stamping both sides (and be careful, because the ink takes a little longer to dry on this coated surface than regular cardstock), spritz the gable box all over with Soft Suede ink. Fun but messy!
To spritz, fill a spritzer bottle 2/3 full with rubbing alcohol and add drops of reinker. (I used 10 drops of Soft Suede) Screw the top back on, make sure the cap is also on, and shake it up. Put the stamped gable box inside a large cardboard box to keep the ink contained when spraying. Take the cap off and spritz the ink all over on both sides! Then allow it to dry.
Trim off the top of the handled areas, fold over and tape down the remaining, assemble the box, and add the straw handle. If you watch that video, you’ll see what I’m talking about and see how I did these steps with my other gable box.
Embellish the box with Pick A Pattern Washi Tape. Then add the sentiment piece: Trim a strip of Soft Suede cardstock to just under 3/8″ wide. Stamp the sentiment, mark where you want your brads to go, then insert the ends from the outside into the Classic Label Punch to trim. Super easy, right?!
Pierce holes, then add the brads. Attach the sentiment strip with Mini Dimensionals. Fill the box with shreddie and a gift of some sort.
I think this box would be SUPER adorable with mini tools of some sort! I just didn’t have anything like that here at home when I took the photo. Ooo!! I’ll have to see if there is tool-shaped candy somewhere!

My boys are home sleeping in today. It’s their first official day of summer vacation! And of course, they are in heaven knowing that they will have nearly 3 months off.
Luke, my youngest had his 5th grade graduation ceremony yesterday. We loved Mrs. Johnson! We were so grateful that she taught and cared for BOTH our boys as Nicholas also had her last year in 5th. She’ll be missed. Gosh, we’re gonna miss so many other teachers and staff members at this school. Crooked Lake Elementary was such a wonderful place for our family.
To celebrate this graduation AND just the end of the school year for all, our family met up with my sister & her kids for ice cream afterwards. Our neighbor friend, Carter was able to join us, too!
We are going to miss Crooked Lake Elementary SOooo much! In fact, during the last few weeks we’ve been putting together little thank you gifts & notes to all the past teachers & staff members that we got to know well. I didn’t take photos of them all, because we gave them as soon as we put them together which made it less overwhelming to distribute – each kiddo only had to hand out a few at a time. But I DID take a photo of THESE thank you cards that I put together for three of the teachers who teach physical education at both Crooked Lake AND the middle school (we made gifts for teachers at Nick’s school, too).
Night of Navy Cardstock: 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ and folded in half for the card base
Whisper White Cardstock: 4″ x 5-1/4″ for the inside & scraps for punching two 2″ circles
Real Red Cardstock: 1-7/8″ x 4-1/4″
Smoky Slate Cardstock: 1-3/4″ x 4-1/4″
Real Red 1/8″ Ribbon: about 2-1/2″
Products: See below for a full list of supplies linked to where you can find them in my online store. The stamp sets from past Paper Pumpkin kits are no longer available. You need to be a subscriber to get these stamps. CLICK HERE to learn more about all the fun perks of a Paper Pumpkin subscription.
Directions:
Emboss the Night of Navy card base with the Simple Stripes embossing folder. Adhere the 4″ x 5-1/4″ Whisper White piece to the inside of the card.
Punch out a couple Whisper White 2″ circles, and stamp the circular lines image to the left and to the right on each circle using Real Red ink to give a look of baseball stitching.
Stamp the thank you image in Night of Navy ink on the lower left corner area of the Smoky Slate cardstock. Layer this onto the Real Red cardstock, and then add one of the baseballs under the lower left section (under the thank you). Adhere this whole thing to the Night of Navy embossed card base using lots of SNAIL and a few Glue Dots.
Attach the second baseball to the front of the card with Dimensionals. And add the ribbon (tied in a knot) using a Glue Dot.
Write a sweet note on the inside and gift to someone with a bag of peanuts. 😉
We are ready for summer! The weather forecast looks good, so hopefully Luke (and even Nick with his knee brace) will get outside and hang out with neighbor friends on this first day of summer vacation! Happy June 8th to all of you.

My son, Luke and I are heading up to my parents’ lake place in northern Minnesota for this Memorial Day weekend while my husband, Tim and our other son, Nick stay at home. Nicholas isn’t quite up to traveling that far yet (it’s almost a 4 hour drive), and Tim wants to work on finishing up our back deck. Hopefully Nick and hubby will enjoy having the house to themselves. And I hope you are all going to have a lovely weekend as well.
To start off your weekend on a creative note, I thought I’d share more alternate projects that I made with the contents of the May 2018 Manly Moments kit. I shared a few on Sunday last weekend, but today I’ve got for you a 12×12 scrapbook layout, some pretty origami star boxes, and seven alternate greeting card ideas. If you are one of my subscribers, be sure to take out your envelope of goodies I sent you so you can recreate one or more of these cards.

Then scroll down to see close up photos of the projects I share in this video, to see the supplies I used to create all these projects, AND to access some helpful links (ones that I refer to in the video).
