The Painted Skies Kit is one of the newest kits in the Kits Collection. Have you seen it yet?! The imagery is stunning with the beautiful ocean and sunshine/sky views AND the laser-cut overlay images. The tri-fold cards are stunning as designed. But I’m one that likes to alter and change kits up. And of course I did just that with this kit. In fact with extra ink and some Blending Brushes, you can create even more pretty backgrounds and double the beautiful cards using the directions and tips I have for you today.

Last Wednesday I revisited the Floating Frame technique in my Live Online Paper Crafting Class. I shared eight cards in the video and posted the photos and the supply lists for six of them (four cards showing off the new All Aflutter Bundle & two with the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape & Dies) on my blog. So today I’m sharing the photos and supply lists for the other two cards featuring the Made With Sweetness Dies.
If you recall from the video, this card shown here was the first one I created when I was preparing samples to teach this technique.
Below is a photo of the the initial layout before I added the Press ‘n’ Seal and cut the 3″ x 3″ square frame. But I discovered after die-cutting the square from the center to make the frame that a few of the top layer bits of the two-tone cardstock were peeling up (where you see the white areas on the fruits in the top photo).
So if you are going to do this technique with cardstock shapes AND die-cutting of the frame, I recommend making your shapes with the regular cardstock that is dyed all the way through rather than with the two tone cardstock that I used that is dyed only on the surface. OR… cut the frame with the trimmer instead. That way the Press ‘n’ Seal will be easier to pull off afterwards.
Measurements for card #1…
Basic White Cardstock
5-1/2” x 8-1/2” scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4”
4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ “scrap” for building the frame
2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ die-cut square (second from largest from the Stylish Shapes)
Real Red Two-Tone Cardstock
2-5/8″ x 2-5/8″
Scraps for die-cutting strawberries
Daffodil Delight Two-Tone Cardstock (I think I said Lemon Lolly in my video, but later I found out it was indeed Daffodil Delight)
Scraps for die-cutting lemon slices
Lemon Lime Twist Two-Tone Cardstock
Scraps for die-cutting lime slices
Pumpkin Pie Two-Tone Cardstock
Scraps for die-cutting orange slices
Misty Moonlight Two-Tone Cardstock
Scraps for die-cutting blueberries
Garden Green Two-Tone Cardstock
Scraps for die-cutting strawberry tops
For this second card, I put it together with the same method I used with my Extraordinary Flora cards… I just hand-picked the fruit pieces I liked and “puzzle-pieced them together” directly onto the white rectangular layer with Dimensionals. Then I trimmed up the excess extending beyond the edges. It’s not officially the “floating frame technique” if there is no frame. But the effect is similar.
5-1/2” x 8-1/2” scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4”
3″ x 4-1/4″
Real Red Two-Tone Cardstock
Scraps for die-cutting strawberries
Daffodil Delight Two-Tone Cardstock
Scraps for die-cutting lemon slices
Lemon Lime Twist Two-Tone Cardstock
Scraps for die-cutting lime slices
Pumpkin Pie Two-Tone Cardstock
Scraps for die-cutting orange slices
Misty Moonlight Two-Tone Cardstock
Scraps for die-cutting blueberries
Garden Green Two-Tone Cardstock
3-1/8″ x 4-3/8″
Scraps for die-cutting strawberry tops
Thanks for checking in today to see what I had to share.

I shared a Floating Frame technique card on my blog on March 30th that I made with the Help Me Grow dies. Many have reached out wanting to know more about that technique. So that was the focus of today’s Online Paper Crafting Class. Though there were a few stumbles here and there in my Livestream as I tried to share this very detailed process, I ended up sharing a lot of creative inspiration (eight cards total!)…four cards showing off the new All Aflutter Bundle, two with the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape & Dies, and two more starring the Made With Sweetness Dies.
Be sure to watch my instructional video by clicking here for measurements, tips and directions (or you can just click on this image below if you are already here in my blog post and can view it), scroll through the photos that follow, check out the products list below (items linked to where you can find them in my online store), and then let me know if you have any questions.

Measurements for a Set of Two Butterfly Cards…
Basic White Cardstock
(4) 3” x 4-1/4”
1-1/4” x 2-1/2”
Scraps for stamping, coloring, and punching
Scrap paper to set the frame (I used more Basic White)
3” x 4-1/4”
Designer paper with small subtle pattern
(2) 4” x 5-1/4”
Base cardstock
(2) 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4”
Coordinating colored cardstock
(2) 3-1/8” x 4-3/8”
(2) 4-1/8” x 5-3/8”
Here are photos of the four butterfly cards.
If you watched my video, you saw that I messed up on the second butterfly card. I accidentally added the middle grouping of butterflies to a piece of cardstock the same size (as I had with the frame. But I meant to just peel the Press ‘N’ Seal/butterflies away and add them to a larger layer of cardstock. So rather than starting over, I took the cardstock frame from the garbage (the layer that was peeled away from the frame of butterflies) and placed it over this layer of cardstock that I originally had intended on using with the inside butterflies. I removed the butterflies one by one from the smaller piece of cardstock (which is the same size as the window of the frame) and transferred them to the space within the frame. If the glue from the Dimensional backings didn’t peel up, I just added a bit of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
You can see this worked quite well as long as I moved one butterfly at a time.
Here are photos of the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape cards.
The process for making these is a lot quicker without the Press ‘N’ Seal and frame-cutting steps. And you still end up getting a pretty amazing look.

I went live on YouTube last month for an exclusive members-only Live for my aRT Supporter members. I instructed on the steps for creating a Floating Frame card. This wasn’t the one I originally had in mind at the start of the video. But I eventually gave up on the first card (that caused a few laughs) and started to walk them through how to put together this card below. I wasn’t sure if I was going to share because the instructional video for my members wasn’t complete. But it features the Help Me Grow Dies that we are using in this week’s Craft Along! And I thought you all might want another fun card idea to try. , and a few other Stampin’ Up!® products. (You will find a full product list below.)
For the hilarious instructional video (and for many other past and future members-only tutorial videos), I invite you to sign up to be an aRT Supporter member of my channel. And a big thank you to those of you who ARE members. Your membership helps to fund lighting, tech equipment, staff, products, and more. These are the main supplies I used to create this card:
The Right Words Stamp Set (recently retired)
I hope you gained a little creative inspiration today. And I hope you can either tune in live or watch the recordings for the Craft Along this week. We are going to have fun!

This year’s Stampin’ Up! OnStage 2026 convention was held March 12-14 in Long Beach (California, USA), Cologne (Germany), and Sydney (Australia). I attended the Long Beach event – flew out on Tuesday, March 10 and back home on Sunday, March 15 (Well…technically Monday, March 16 due to weather and flight cancellations. But that’s another story for another time). And once again my mind is racing with so many creative ideas. I was inspired, learned a lot, got to connect with friends (and my son Luke who lives in California now), took a ton of photos, brought gifts/swaps and got lots of goodies in return, made great memories, and just had SOOoo much fun.
This year I posted mainly on my Facebook Page while I was there. And I didn’t put time into my blog. It gave me more rest time which is hard for me to get at these events. And then shortly after getting home (and after two days with airing six livestreams), I got sick and have been fighting off a nasty cold for about a week and a half. So I’m sharing a few photos here in my post today (sorry it took me so long) and I’m sharing links to those Facebook Page posts to refer you to even more photos that I shared there. I also have photos of the gifts I brought for team members and some of the gifts and goodies I got back. Once again though, I don’t have photos everything. So I’m also sharing my 3/17/26 Show & Share livestream video (and one from this week) featuring all these goodies AND lots of new Stampin’ Up! products. And then below I have just a small bit of news and announcements.
My son Luke picked me up at the airport. And the first 24 hours in Long Beach was amazing as I got to spend most of it with him. (I miss him so much!) We had a late breakfast at the Breakfast Bar Restaurant nearby and explored the area around the Convention Center as we walked back to the hotel. After I unpacked my loads of luggage, I think I took a nap. Then we picked up Jamba Juice smoothies for a snack and went on a whale/dolphin watching tour which was fantastic! You can read a little more and see eight photos I shared from that time with him HERE on my Facebook Page.
Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage convention officially kicked off Thursday, March 12. But most people in our group arrived a day early and attended the fun team event Susan and I hosted Wednesday late afternoon for everyone to connect with each other, create together, and share lots of ideas through swapping and gifts.
(We made wands again this year. And they were a hit!)
I had 22 team members physically attend OnStage in Long Beach with me this year and 2 more that couldn’t fly out. 19 plus me are in this photo below along with my upline Susan Campfield and a few of my sideline (sister) demonstrators. Look at all those beautiful faces!
Check In for OnStage was the next day. I was able to take photos of a few new products on display but not many as I ran into old friends, made some new friends, and just socialized non-stop. SOOOo fun! And then General Session began where we got to see lots more new product and celebrate achievements and milestones. My team members, Rose Kerry, Coco Villard, and Vy Tran walked across stage together to celebrate their five years with SU. I walked across stage with my sister demonstrator Linda Larson to celebrate 25 years with SU! You can read a little more and see all 45 photos I shared from that part of my trip HERE on my Facebook Page.
My next Facebook Page post shared 38 photos of new products from the display boards and from on stage presentations. Here are a few of those. (I was able to take several display boards on Friday morning before breakfast.)
On Friday, March 13. Stampin’ Up! hosted a breakfast for leader demonstrators. I was grateful to share this special time with my team members Vy and Mariacristina!
Then the day got underway…all demonstrators gathered for another general session where we got to see fabulous demonstrations of more new products and celebrate achievements.
I was among those who walked across stage to be recognized as top achievers!!!* My heart was full of gratitude as I looked out to see my team members waving their ribbon wands. I was waving mine back in appreciation for all their support. I feel very blessed by those who are a part of my paper crafting world.
The inspiration, ideas, swapping…
…the motivation, make & takes, sneak peeks, gifts and prizes, and entertainment from these fun events are amazing. But connecting with team members & other demonstrator friends in person for meals, being able to sit with one another during classes and general sessions, and even just spending a few minutes in passing to hug and quickly chat make these SU events fill my heart with joy. You can read a little more and see all 39 photos I shared from that part of my trip HERE on my Facebook Page.
Here are 7 of us (half of our group) from our Paper Pumpkin Creatives.. I was so happy that we were able to come together for this photo! I love the teamwork we have in producing and sharing even more creative ideas with my favorite kit line.
And my last post with 42 photos can be found HERE. We got the new catalog in our hands!
Susan Campfield (my dear friend that I signed up under 26 years ago, my upline) demonstrated her million sales set on stage!
We had more recognition walks. I surpassed 1.9 million in career sales!* I’m almost at my 2 Million Milestone. I may reach it next month. Eek!
And I was among those who achieved the 2026 incentive trip!*
OnStage ended with great news & demonstrations about even MORE new products and can’t share about yet. So stay tuned.
I have a hard time winding down after these great events. So I like to come back and share with all of YOU! Here is a link to my first Show & Share livestream from Tuesday evening, March 17th. In this video I share gifts I gave to my team members, gifts I received from the event (gifts from Stampin’ Up! & gifts and swap cards from my demonstrator friends), and some of the new products debuting on May 5th including items I was able to preorder super early as a perk of attending OnStage!
Here are photos of some of these goodies I shared in that video.
Preorder from the May 2026 Online Exclusives and from the May-August 2026 Catalog for all demonstrators began March 24th. So I ordered and expedited. Here is a link to my second Show & Share livestream from this past Wednesday evening, March 25th.
I hope you enjoyed all that I had to share today.
*Disclaimer: Earning the incentive trip, reaching large sales milestones, and being one of the top achievers are what less than 1% of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators achieve.
Have you seen my new batch of enamel pins for sale? Last year’s pins (the scissors, kits, and markers) were popular and have now sold out. But you can get in on this year’s creations (the ink pads, positioner, and trimmer) shown below by clicking HERE to shop. These images are SU approved and make great gifts for your crafty friends.
The first orders (along with team card swaps) are off in the mail as of today. I’m working on preparing more pin order packages Sunday afternoon, so feel free to get your orders in now if you want them to ship out on Monday.
