MY ONLINE PAPER CRAFTERS CLUB IS LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBERS We are looking for more to join our online Paper Crafters club. The commitment is to order at least $25 worth of Stampin’ Up! product in each of 6 consecutive months. In one of those months, you would reap the hosting rewards (free merchandise based on the club orders). And then you’d also be able to get in on monthly product perks that would be sent to you along with your monthly club cards.
Do you need a few more alternate project ideas for the August 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit? The ones I am sharing today were five more samples I sent to Stampin’ Up!® for their latest Facebook Live that aired on September 1st. I had also sent them the blue cake card I featured here on my blog on August 23rd and the accordion display gift album I showed off and blogged about on August 27th. I recommend watching that live to see not only the ideas I submitted, but a whole bunch of other fun alternates shared by my peers.
These first two are sweet & simple-to-make Matchbook RAK (Random Acts of Kindness) Notecards…mini cards that you can leave for someone when you want to thank them, tip them, or just brighten their day to let them know how special they are.
They close like a matchbook and open to reveal either a sweet handwritten message, cash, or BOTH.
Tips for making the blue one:
Cut a blue card base from kit in half to get two 2-3/4″ x 8-1/2″ pieces. Trim 1″ off one end, and score in 5/8″ from the other end.
Fold on the two score lines. Staple the bottom narrow 5/8″ section over and down placing that staple in the center of that section. This will allow you to tuck in a folded dollar bill and then fold and tuck the top flap over to close.
Then decorate the top with pieces from the kit.
Tips for making the green one:
Cut a green card base from kit in quarters to get four 2-1/8″ x 5-1/2″ pieces. Score at 5/8″ and again at 3-1/4″.
Fold on the two score lines. Staple the bottom narrow 5/8″ section over and down placing that staple in the center of that section. It’s a smaller notecard, but you can still tuck in a double-folded dollar bill if you wish. Then fold and tuck the top flap over to close.
Stamp the inside using the masking technique: Stamp the circular image on scrap paper. Fussy-cut around it to create the “mask.” Stamp the image towards the top of the open flap. Cover the stamp image up with the “mask.” Then stamp two more times just to the lower left and lower right of that first circle. Remove the mask to reveal a layered look.
Close then decorate the top with pieces from the kit.
Money isn’t necessary. These matchbook-style RAK cards can simply contain a hand-written message. But aren’t they a cute and unique way to brighten someone’s day?
This next one is a Flap Fold Card. I applied the fun fold I’ve been sharing lately (on 8/19/20, 8/20/20, and 9/5/20) to make this celebratory “You deserve a medal” card.
Measurements:
Whisper White Cardstock
5-1/2” x 11” scored parallel to the short end at 5-1/2” then scored again at 1-3/4” from one end and 1-1/4” from the other end
1-1/4″ x 10″
Green card base from the kit
3-1/2” x 5-1/2”
1” x 5-1/2”
1” x 5-1/2”
Blue card base from the kit
3-1/2” x 5-1/2”
1-1/2” x 5-1/2”
Ribbon from the kit
12″
Copper Foil Sheet
Scrap for die-cutting small scallop circle
Silver Foil Sheet
Scrap for die-cutting small scallop circle
Directions/Tips:
Click here to see the flap fold cards I shared on August 19th (and to watch the how-to video and tips for preparing the card base and adding the patterned paper).
Stamp three “hanging medal ribbon” images on the inside: Stamp one 1/8″ from the left and another 1/8″ from the right. Then stamp the third one centered between the first two. I recommend stamping at varying lengths. And to get the light blue color, first stamp the Pacific Point image onto scrap paper. Then without re-inking stamp it onto the card.
Die-cut and add the copper and silver scallop circles. Then add the gold scallop circle (from the kit) with Dimensionals after stamping and embossing it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
Add the stars with Fine Tip Glue and allow to dry.
Close the card and wrap the Whisper White belly band so the seam is in the back. Use Tear & Tape to secure. Trim a “V” into one end of the ribbon. Wrap and add to the belly bandy with Tear & Tape.
Use elements from the kit to create the focal point for the band. When attaching to the belly band, add the largest blue circle so it is centered underneath the band.
Then add the layering pieces on top. I recommend the Tear & Tape Adhesive for the parts that are directly connected to the belly band.
These last two ideas are slight variations of two fun fold cards I already shared on August 23rd. The first is a Slider Window Card. And the second is a Pop-Open Cube Card. Click on this link to see those original cards I shared and to watch the how-to video that demonstrates how to put them together.
I hope you enjoyed what I had to share. And for those of you who still have elements of your August kit, I hope I inspired you to dive in again and use up more of your pieces.
The kit itself is no longer available. You pretty much need to be a subscriber to get these fun kits each month. But if you are interested in purchasing any of the extra products I used, see below for a complete list of those extra items. They are even linked to where you can find them in my online store.

Several of my Online Paper Crafter’s Club members earned a product bonus based on their August club order amounts – a generous sampling of the new Brushed Metallic Cardstock! After cutting the sheets to 6 x 11 inches, I ended up with several one inch strips of this beautiful metallic paper. So those pieces were the beginning inspiration for my club cards which I am sharing with you today. My apologies to my club members, though…I’m still preparing these gifts and finishing up the cards for all 30 of you. Things are taking me a bit more time now that I’m dealing with a broken toe. Yes…darn it, I broke my toe bone. My son has a broken finger. I have a broken toe. We are hoping that my other son and my husband are not next.
I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago how I made use of these Brushed Metallic scraps, images from the Rustic Retreat Stamp Set, the Evergreen Embossing Folder, and some fun ink to put together some handsome thinking of you cards. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. I’m having a blast creating with my August 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit titled, World’s Greatest! I love the elements and the possibilities. And the alternate ideas just keep coming.
This glorious, all-inclusive, monthly subscription kit contained the supplies shown below to make nine full-size cards (three of three kinds measuring 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″) and includes coordinating envelopes.
But I don’t assemble my kits as is. I like to think outside the box…see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards, scrapbook pages and more. So I including the extra items in the product list at the bottom of this post to the above kit contents and created some fun alternate projects that I’m sharing with you today:
Four Alternate Full-Size Cards
A Slider Window Card
A Pop-Open Cube Card
And a 12×12 Scrapbook Page
Watch my video first by clicking here to get to get measurements, directions, and tips (or you can just click on this image below if you are already in my blog post). Scroll down to see close-up photos, access the links that I mentioned in my video, and see a list of extra supplies (linked to my online store) that I used to make my creations. Then be sure to visit my blog again soon, because I have many more alternate projects that I’ll be sharing on August 27.
Here are the cards the kit instructs how to make. (Click here for a link to Stampin’ Up!’s how-to video to help you assemble these as intended.)

My project idea that I’m sharing today is Paper Wallet Gift Card Holder. I remember making these years ago. And then my team members, Nancy and Kayla shared an adorable one on their blog last spring. (These five are mine to keep.)

It might help to watch Nancy and Kayla’s how-to video. Click here to see it. But I also have some written directions below these photos for the ones I made. Here is what one of the wallets looks like closed.
This is the inside.
And this is the back view.
Directions…
Fold the Basic Black base piece. Pinch the two one-inch wide sections together and secure with a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive positioned super close the 5″ score line. Punch the slot for the gift card by bringing the Classic Label Punch only halfway in along the 6″ fold.
Add designer paper to the back and inside areas.
Die-cut the foil sheet pieces and stamp with feather and sentiment. Stamp the feather on the 2-3/4″ x 4″ cardstock piece and attach to the inside bottom section.
Tie bows in each piece of twine.
Add the foil sentiment piece and one of the twine bows.
Close the wallet, wrap the Basic Black belly band, and secure with Seal+. Be sure that the belly band can slide off and on.
Wrap and adhere the coordinating cardstock strip around the belly band with the ends meeting in the front. Add a couple Dimensionals to hold those ends. Then add the foil scallop circle piece and the bow.
Then just insert a gift card, add a note, and give it to a friend or loved on.
Here are the four others close up.
I hope you enjoyed this fun fold gift card holder and are now inspired to give it a go!

Do you remember a couple years back when I shared my Twelve Months of HOME Class and some additional interchangeable pieces for it on 12/1/18 and on 12/3/18? Well, I’ve got a couple more pieces that I made using some of the upcoming new product so I could not only give you a taste of some of the fun goodies coming but also update my framed HOME project at the same time.
I die-cut my shape using the smallest label die, stamped the images in VersaMark ink, then heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After that I colored select areas with Stampin’ Blends Markers and embellished with a few Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
I die-cut my bell twice using the largest die (from Silver Foil and from Shaded Spruce Cardstock), punched my 2″ Circle from the Black Glitter Paper, and then added Poppy Parade scraps to the back side of the silver bell to cover the berries.
Next I traded out the silver leaves for Shaded Spruce leaves,…
…secured the leaves in place by adding Dimensionals on the back side, attached the bell to the Black Glitter Paper circle, then added the bow.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
These pieces are interchangeable with the help of Velcro Dots.
There is of course SOOooo much more in this upcoming catalog. But I hope you enjoyed these peeks. Thanks for stopping by today!
