I love challenging myself to come up with ways to double or triple the contents of Stampin’ Up! kits. Today I’m sharing how I re-designed the Saying Thanks kit from the Kits Collection which debuted about a month ago. When I started creating, I first just doubled the cards. But because I cut into the envelopes, I then had extra envelope flaps and made 3 more cards. After tripling the cards, I challenged myself to make one more. So I turned 3 cards into 10. And with this kit doing that with the 2 other sets, you can turn 9 cards into 30…more than tripling the cards from the kit!
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating these cards by adding a few sheets of Basic Black cardstock, a pack of envelopes (to make up for the ones that we are using for more card designs and layers), Tuxedo Black ink, sentiments from the Happy Labels Stamp Set, and a little more coordinating product. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video by clicking here (or you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog post), scroll through the close-up photos that follow, check out the measurements & products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Click here to access and download a printable “measurements & supplies” sheet.

These are photos of the kit cards completed as per the instructions in the kit. Done as is, you can make nine (3 of these 3 designs). (Click here for the blog post where I share details about this kit.)
During the Silver Elite Retreat this past weekend, we each put together a sampling of these cards. (Sorry for the lighting. Photographing at the cabin was challenging me a bit.) You can see that even if you want to make the cards as intended, you can still add a little variation here or there.
And here are photos of the cards I shared today in the video showing you how I turned the three different kit cards (and envelopes) into ten.
I hope you enjoyed what I shared today!

One of my favorite products is kits. I love that everything that you need is included AND I love that anyone can enjoy them. People that want to make something quick, those that struggle with being creative, those that don’t have space for a lot of product, and beginning crafters can assemble the kits as intended. Those that want to create and have (or are willing to purchase) a few extra tools and supplies can go beyond and use those kits as a “launch pad” for coming up with other unique projects. Yep…kits are a product that ANYone can enjoy.
Well this time I played around and altered the Timeless Greetings Kit from Stampin’ Up!’s Kits Collection to get twice as many cards. So Instead of eight cards from this one kit, you can make sixteen! Here is a peek at 4 of them. The cards are quite handsome, right?!
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating these cards with the Timeless Greetings Kit, Kraft Note Cards, Layering Circle Dies, Copper Foil Sheets, some Adhesive Backed Studs, and a few other coordinating products. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video by clicking here (or you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog post), scroll through the close-up photos that follow, check out the measurements & products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.
OH! I forgot to share the Boho Blue Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and talk about how you can get that one (or the white one I demonstrated that can also be purchased) for FREE!! So click here or read the graphic for the details.

Welcome to our All Star Tutorial monthly blog hop for the Sun Prints Suite! Be ready to be immersed in this suite with all that we have to share.
I absolutely love the products in this suite! I used the pretty paper on June 22nd in my fish Faker Shaker card. You’ll see the papers again and more of the suite again in my October 30th post with the Octagon Star Boxes. And on November 2nd I shared some pretty Triangular Cross Fold cards using these items.
So today I wanted to share with you some more Octagon Star Boxes…this time using the larger measurements like I shared in my how-to video and blog post posted a few hours ago. You’ll notice one is taller than the other. But that is the only difference when it comes to the measurements. So I’ve listed the measurements for each below. It’s just a 2″ difference.
Products I used… a complete list of products I used is shown below, and everything is linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements for the taller box…
Basic White Cardstock
11-1/8” x 11-1/2” scored parallel to the short side at 1-3/8″, 2-3/4″, 4-1/8″, 5-1/2″, 6-7/8″, 8-1/4″, 9-5/8″ and 11″ then scored parallel to the long side at 3-1/4″ from the bottom and 1-3/4″ from the top (follow the video in this Grand Octagon Star Boxes post from earlier for instructions on extra score marks, cuts, folds, and assembly)
Scrap for stamping and die-cutting sentiment piece
Sun Prints Designer Paper
Eight strips that are 1-1/4″ x 6″ (Cut from one piece that is 6″ x 10″ to keep a flowing pattern)
Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon
16”
Vellum Cardstock
Scraps for die-cutting leaves
Measurements for the shorter box…
Basic White Cardstock
9-1/8” x 11-1/2” scored parallel to the short side at 1-3/8″, 2-3/4″, 4-1/8″, 5-1/2″, 6-7/8″, 8-1/4″, 9-5/8″ and 11″ then scored parallel to the long side at 3-1/4″ from the bottom and 1-3/4″ from the top (follow the video in this Grand Octagon Star Boxes post from earlier for instructions on extra score marks, cuts, folds, and assembly)
Scrap for stamping and die-cutting sentiment piece
Sun Prints Designer Paper
Eight strips that are 1-1/4″ x 4″ (Cut from one piece that is 4″ x 10″ to keep a flowing pattern)
Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon
16”
Vellum Cardstock
Scraps for die-cutting leaves
Tips…
Watch the video in this Grand Octagon Star Boxes post. It will guide you through cutting, scoring, folding, and assembling the base of these boxes.
Color the ribbon with the Night of Navy Blends Marker. Then set it aside to dry. Notice how the base color of the ribbon influences the finished look. The Fresh Freesia ribbon is a cooler, more purple-toned blue. The Soft Succulent ribbon is a warmer, softer blue.
Stamp, then die-cut the label. Score in on each end at 5/8″. Add to the box front with Dimensionals (placed on the back side in the middle and on the ends so the label wraps around).
Tuck the die-cut vellum leaves under the labels. You may need to trim if they aren’t tucking far enough.
Then add the rhinestones.

Last night our family gathered together to celebrate my Dad’s 80th birthday! He is an amazing man that should be celebrated each and every day. But this was a great excuse to make it super of course “80” is just a fun number and one of those special milestones.
The party was a ton of fun!… yummy food, lots of laughter, kids being silly together, adults being silly, music from the 50’s, piano playing…
cake & ice cream, thoughtful presents & cards…
…balloons, ice ball hockey across the island,…
…and a bit of extra flannel. It was a great time for sure. Love you Dad. ❤️
I also have a fun, simple note card to share with you today featuring the new Fitting Florets Collection that was just released November 1st.

I love math! The equilateral triangle is an amazing shape. And if divided into four equal sections, it can be folded over onto itself to make a much smaller equilateral triangle. So I thought this smaller collapsed version would be perfect to add to a card base to create an amazing fun fold that opens with a wow factor.
After creating the card I searched YouTube to see if I could find any other similar fun fold cards. The only one I found was presented in a video by the Fold Factory released a couple months ago. It’s not a tutorial. And again I couldn’t find one. So hopefully what I share today will help you to create something that maybe you’ve never tried before.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for how to make a couple Triangular Cross Fold Cards with products from the beautiful Sun Prints Suite: Nature’s Prints Stamp Set, Natural Prints Dies, and Sun Prints Designer Paper. I shared a simple card layout this past Monday that featured three panels of different patterns of Rustic Harvest designer paper with a maple leaf focal point in the lower right and a sentiment from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set cut with its coordinating die from the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies.
Well…I kept going and made three more cards with a similar layout. The panel measurements are the same. And I used the same Charming Sentiments Stamp Set & coordinating dies for the sentiments. But these cards feature different designer papers and focal points.
Click here to refer back to the 10/10/22 post for measurements, directions, and a complete supply list for the Rustic Harvest card shown above. For additional products needed for making the three other cards I’m sharing today, scroll down. Then simply click on the product images so you can find these items in my online store.
Because I can’t quite let go of Summer (we woke to snow on the ground two days ago! 😳), I had to make this cheerful and colorful thank you card.
Tips…
After die-cutting the leaves from Granny Apple Green Cardstock, GENTLY slide the edge of the Granny Apple Green ink pad across the surface. By sliding the edge of the pad with very little pressure, the ink will avoid filling in the embossed veins.
Add the leaves with Dimensionals. Add the sentiment on top of the leaves with Dimensionals.
Embellish the card with the 2022-24 In Color Matte Decorative Dots.
Of course with waking to that snow, this next card is very fitting for this time of year in the northern hemisphere. Plus it uses more of that fun Storybook Gnomes paper that I used to make the Peeking Tree Gnomes cards from this past Wednesday’s Live.
Tips…
Die-cut the mushroom is from the Storybook Gnomes designer paper.
Add the mushroom with Dimensionals. Add the sentiment on top of the mushroom with Dimensionals (double-stacked under the word, “hey”).
Add the snowflake with a Dimensional. Add the sentiment with Dimensionals that have been cut in half.
Embellish the card with the Iridescent Pearls.
Do you have a favorite? I’d love to see YOUR take on this layout. Share your card in my Facebook Group and be sure to tag me in your post so I see it.
