Yesterday many in the United States celebrated Thanksgiving, a holiday for gathering with family and friends to feast and give thanks. Of course in this year of the pandemic, many – like my family of four – did not gather in person with extended family. But we did feast and give thanks for our blessings. Here is my clan this year. Luke (age 13-1/2) to my left, Nick (age 15 and now driving with a permit!), my husband Tim and I all had some of our favorites for our dinner.
And our cat, Lucky also enjoyed a special meal.
We hope that your day was a good one as well.
Here are a few more fantastic cards that have been gifted to me through swaps and more. Those that made each Autumn-themed card are mentioned in the watermarks of the photos. A big thank you to all of the creators!
I hope these card ideas I shared today provided some creative inspiration for you!

I decided to make a Thanksgiving version of my Gift Box In a Card project that I shared on November 4th. You’ll want to check that post out to see the how-to video. Watch that video first, then come back here and apply that information to these products and measurements to recreate what I’m sharing today.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Imperial Measurements…
Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock
5-1/2” x 8-1/2” scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4” – then cut out a 2” wide by 1-1/2” deep section ½” from the right
1-7/8″ x 1-7/8″ for the top of the box
1/2″ x 3-1/2″
Brass Foil Sheets
3” x 3” scored ½” in on all four sides
Two pieces that are 3/8″ x 5-1/2″
Poinsettia Place Designer Paper (wood-grain pattern)
3″ x 5″
1-3/4″ x 1-3/4″
3/4″ x 5-1/2″
1/4″ x 5-1/2″
Poinsettia Place Designer Paper (pinecone pattern)
5-13/16” x 5-13/16” scored 1-15/16” in on all four sides
3/8″ x 5-1/2″
All the Trimmings Ribbon (Old Olive)
11”
Tips…
Be sure to attach the Celebration Tidings die-cut and wood-grain paper to the front of the card before cutting the 1-1/2″ x 2″ notch from the top. (I used the largest of the dies and only half the shape from the 3″ x 5″ piece.)
Stamp and color the images next. (I used the Stampin’ Write Markers: Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive from the Regals, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz from the Subtles, and Soft Suede from the Neutrals.)
Then add the strips of foil and designer paper.
Punch the Very Vanilla strip. Stamp the sentiment. Then add it to the lower left with Dimensionals.
Cover up portions of the sentiment stamps with tape, ink them up, peel off the tape, then stamp them on the inside of the card. (Of course color the image image, too.)
Be sure to tie the ribbon around the wood-grain paper/Very Vanilla layered squares piece before adding it to the top off the box with Dimensionals.
Did I mention yet that we are already decorating for Christmas at our house? We will still celebrate Thanksgiving and just planned out what all four of us want to eat. But I think we were all ready for some festiveness with this pandemic. Our son, Nick wanted to finish up a TikTok he had started a little over a month ago when the Fall colors were at their height. Plus we had some unusually warm days the weekend of the 7th which made putting lights on the roof and trees for my husband (and Nick who helped) very enjoyable.
Did any of you decorate super early this year?

Today is the last day to sign up for (or have an activate subscription for) Paper Pumpkin so you get in on the upcoming October kit. (See the details below. Today I’ve got a few more projects that I created with the September 2020 “Hello Pumpkin” Paper Pumpkin kit. This image below shows what the intended projects for this kit look like.
I took the kit supplies, added in a few other products, and came up with:
a 12×12 scrapbook page
three cute Bath & Body Works PocketBac hand sanitizer holders
and a fun Halloween easel fold card.
I thought it was best to share the measurements, directions and tips in a video format.
Watch my video first by clicking here (or you can just click on this image below if you are already in my blog post). Scroll down to see close-up photos, access the links that I mentioned in my video, and see a list of extra supplies (linked to my online store) that I used to make my creations.
Here are close-up photos of the alternate projects I made and shared in my video. (Remember to watch the video first to get measurements, tips and directions.)
A 12×12 scrapbook page
We are looking forward to going to Eveland Family Farm this afternoon. I’m excited to add some photos of our pumpkin finds to this page!
Three cute Bath & Body Works PocketBac hand sanitizer holders
This is the Halloween-themed one I demonstrated.
Here is my cute Thanksgiving one.
And this one has a Christmas look to it.
Here is how I cut my two pieces for the front and back parts of each box.
Remember to hold those center parts with tape on the back sides.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to connect the two pieces together. You can have either pattern on the outside.
Add color to the box (optional), tape the bottom shut, add the hand sanitizer, tie on the ribbon, and then decorate.
I hope I inspired your creativity with what I shared today!

Happy World Card Making Day! Yes, today is the day you have the world’s permission to make time for this fun paper-crafting hobby (in case you needed an excuse to get away to your craft room).
One of my most popular YouTube videos that I shared on September 16th featured how to get five different cards from one accordion folded piece of designer paper. I have that video on my September 16th blog post. I created two different cards with one of the folds. And then four days later on September 20th I shared the completed cards for the remaining four folds. Be sure to click on those links to see all the cards I created. Maybe those cards will inspire you today to pull out that designer paper that has been sitting on your shelves?
I’m sharing five more of the z-fold style cards from that fold but with different products. By the way, these cards all have a slightly smaller sheet of designer paper. I trimmed off 1/4″ from the left end to expose more of both sides of the designer paper on the front section. You can see the difference between the top card (that I shared on the 20th) and the bottom one.
So I’ll start with that one.
You may be wondering were I got that pretty blue designer paper? I added Balmy Blue ink with a sponge brayer and just sponged more ink on the left and less on the right to get that ombré look.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements…
Peony Garden Designer Paper
5-1/4″ x 12″ scored parallel to the short side at 2″, 5″, and 8″ (then trim off 1/4″ from the left edge)
OR…5-1/4″ x 11-3/4″ scored parallel to the short side at 1-3/4″, 4-3/4″, and 7-3/4″
Basic Gray Cardstock
4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ for die-cutting two rectangles
Whisper White Cardstock
2-3/4″ x 4-1/8″
1-7/16″ x 3-7/16″
Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon
6-1/2″
Directions…
Die-cut the 3″ x 4-3/8″ Stitched Rectangle from the 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ Basic Gray piece. Then die-cut the 1-11/16″ x 3-11/16″ Stitched Rectangle from the center if this.
Stamp the images on the smallest Whisper White piece as shown. (The lighter gray is achieved by stamping off on scrap paper first.)
Brayer the designer paper – darker color on the left and hardly any color on the right to get the ombré look.
Fold designer paper. Attach ribbon and tuck it before adhering the left section down. (Watch the video for other tips on this fold.)
These other four cards are made the same way but show off the beautiful Gilded Autumn Designer Paper which is now on MAJOR backorder. It won’t be available until the end of November. (Sorry if you are one of those who ordered it and are waiting.) But if you DO have it (or can wait), these are some cards that you could recreate.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.

Here is a photo of the intended projects from this month’s kit: 20 cracker box treat packages that you can create custom for fall crafts to celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving, pumpkins, and leaves.
And here are the supplies that came in this kit.
I got my kit a little later than I usually do, so today I’m sharing my monthly how-to video here and including LOTS of ideas for you. I’m loving this kit! I combined the extra items in the product list at the bottom of this post to the above kit contents and created some fun alternate projects that I’m sharing with you today:
4-sided and 3-sided boxes
Doubling the treat containers (turning 20 into 40!)
Napkin rings and luminaries for a fall dinner
And several pop-up cards including a multi pop-up gate fold card
Watch my video first by clicking here to get to get measurements, directions, and tips (or you can just click on this image below if you are already in my blog post).
4-sided and 3-sided boxes
These two were made by overlapping box segments.
Doubling the treat containers (turning 20 into 40!)
These were made by cutting the boxes in half and connecting the segments with scraps/cardstock to get two treat containers from one!
Two of these face on so you can see how I embellished them.
The third one face on as a dinner favor to go with… A napkin ring and luminary for a fall dinner
3×3 pop-up cards
Pop-up card with money pocket
Multi pop-up gate fold card
I hope I inspired your creativity with what I shared today!

I received a gift from my friend, Verla Carpenter last week…a face mask holder that she made with Stampin’ Up! products.
I loved it so much! What a great way to give (or even keep and carry) a face mask. She told me she got the idea from Fannyscrap Stampin and then converted the measurements from metric to imperial. So I had to make a few of my own.
So I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago how I made this folded face mask card/holder using the Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set, the Autumn Punch Pack, and the Plaid Tidings Designer Paper. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video by clicking here (or you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog post), scroll through the close-up photos that follow, check out the measurements & products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.
