For our June 2024 team swap, those in Stampers With ART Community that participated created and shared cards that featured new items from the 2024-25 Annual Catalog. (Click here to find a link to the current publication.) Most cards feature new dies, paper, or stamps. But some cards you’ll have to look very closely at to see what was added that was new. Maybe it was a new color, embellishment, or embossing folder.
Take a look at all the creativity! Those that made each card are mentioned in the watermarks of the photos. By the way, this is a “sharing post” only. These ideas are to inspire creativity not to instruct. Please don’t ask for further details. I don’t have a supply list or measurements for each of these cards. As this blog post is releasing, I’m at the airport with my oldest son Nicholas getting ready to board our plane to Mexico. But prerecorded an instructional video for how to double the cards you can get from the By Your Side Kits Collection Card Kit. And I’m sharing that with you today.
By Your Side was released into in the Kits Collection in early April. If you are a pet lover, you will ADORE this one! There are extra doggie and kitty die-cut images – 8 of each. So if you complete kit cards as intended you can make 8 cards AND still have 8 more animal images left over. It’s the perfect kit for creating and going beyond. And so I did that with just the addition of just some Basic Black Cardstock, an additional ink color, and envelopes. Instead of making just 8 cards, I made 16.
I thought it would be more fun to explain how to put these cards together in video format. So today I have for you another bonus Online Paper Crafting Class.

We are really looking forward to being pampered and spoiled, trying fun foods, relaxing by the pool and ocean, zip-lining in the rainforest, swimming through caves, and more! I promise to take photos and share about our adventures when I get back.

Today I have ten cards to share that almost give the illusion of looking out on a beautiful scene or walking out a door into nature. The gorgeous papers I use are the key! Five of the cards are created with current products but feature our five colors that are leaving us soon. And the other five are created with new products available May 1st.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating these cards with the Meandering Meadows & Thoughtful Journey Designer Papers, Wonderful Thoughts & Unbounded Love Stamp Sets, Stylish Shapes & Spotlight On Nature Die Sets, 2022-24 In Color Cardstock & Blends Markers, 2024-26 In Color Shimmer Dots & Ribbons, and the Timber & So Swirly Embossing Folders. The cards I’m sharing today are alternates that I created with a set of card supplies from a past Paper Pumpkin kit, Bouquet of Hope. Now that’s a blast from the past, right?! I had 17 refill kits of this February 2021 kit, and each refill kit contained supplies for 3 sets of 3 kit cards. So with 17 times 3 giving me 51 sets of supplies, it became the make-n-take products for my April 13th Kit Together event!*
Of the 50 that registered for the event, 37 were able to attend the Live Zoom gathering this past Saturday. Attendees worked on kits they had on hand. I also demonstrated (gave instructions, tips, and measurements for) these 7 cards shown below from the Bouquet of Hope make-n-take materials they each received from me. And there were prize drawings at the end. It was a super fun event. I’m excited to host another possibly in June or July.*
The instructions, tips, and measurements are exclusive for those that attended the event. But here are photos of the cards I demonstrated to give you a little creative inspiration today. Each card shown has a couple variations. Can you see the slight difference in each?
The cards above and below required some careful cutting of the two gold foil pieces.
Cutting the gold doily correctly will allow for more gold foil so you can create a strip.
I’m sharing two versions of each because I didn’t want my kit class participants to have to own a lot of extra supplies.
They only really needed white cardstock, white envelopes, a stamp set with small sentiments, black ink, and some adhesives and basic tools. Embossing and extra embellishments were optional.
This last card wasn’t my favorite with the white layer behind. But I thought I’d share it anyway. I think it looks better with the vellum layer alone. Oh! And maybe a couple Brushed Brass Butterflies would look good too. I should’ve added those to the vellum-only version. Oh well.
The stamp set I used on several of the cards was Timeless Arrangements (which is retiring soon). It’s a great set with lots of small word images. I highly recommend getting it before it sells out or is gone for good on May 1st (along with all the other last chance products).

Thanks for checking into today’s post. It’s a little unique. First of all I’ve inserted a link to my Show-n-Tell Live which is happening OR has happened (depending on when you are reading this) at 11 AM Central Time. Click here (or on the video link image below) to check that out.
But then to end the Live, I explain what “card candy” is and I share tips for making these cards shown below. I don’t have all the details written down here, but you can get the helpful information through the video.

This first card is featuring the Textured Floral Stamp Set and coordinating Textured Floral Dies. These are not retiring, but the bundled savings will be no longer come May 1st.
A few of the colors in the card candy portion of the card however ARE retiring. The blue inks I used are Starry Sky, Orchid Oasis, and Tahitian Tide – 3 of the 5 out-going 2022-24 In Colors. I also used Starry Sky cardstock for the sentiment strip and Iridescent Rhinestones to embellish – both also leaving. (Below you will find shopping links the products I’m mentioning.)
This second card candy was assembled following the same rules. I used the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder accented with “tapped on” Wink of Stella and embellished with Iridescent Foil Gems. None of those products are retiring. But the sentiment image and the leaf accenting underneath from the Timeless Arrangements Stamp Set and Timeless Arrangements Dies are. The label comes from the Hot Air Balloon Dies.
Here is the finished card. And all I did was add it all to Gold Foil that was mounted on the front of a Wild Wheat card base.
Here is the third and final card candy I shared. As I mentioned in my video I had the ship pieces and the waves cut out a LONG time ago. It was time to put them together and find them a home which is really the essence of card candy…putting the top pieces of the card together first and THEN adding it all to a card base.
Ta-Da! A big thanks to the Fresh As a Daisy Designer Paper (retiring) which provided the perfect easy peasy background.
I layered that onto my Basic Gray card base, added my already-assembled ship & waves, and then stamped birds on the front and the inside sentiment.
