Kerchief Card Kit Variations

There are so many fun free picks from the Sale-a-Bration publication this year. One of my favorite items that you can get with a $50 order is the Kerchief Card Kit. This kit makes 4 of each of these cards (8 cards total).

I tripled the cards in the Kerchief Card Kit (one of the free level 1 picks from the 2020 Sale-a-Bration brochure). I also made cute treat holders and shared all of these ideas during my Facebook live broadcast. You’ll be able to watch my video so you can see all my tips and tricks and get the step-by-step directions. You’ll also be able to access measurements, see other close-up photos, and get links to all the products I used. - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

I played around with this kit to make some adorable treat holders (inspired by a project in the January Tutorial Bundle) and then I added a bit of extra cardstock so I could expand how many cards I could get from this all-inclusive kit. I love what I came up with!

So on Wednesday during my Online Paper Crafting Class on Facebook, I shared how I made all these items (AND shared tips for using the new Mini Trimmer!). I uploaded the recorded version of my Facebook Live video to my YouTube channel (since I know not everyone is ON Facebook). And then I was able to share it here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video (you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog), scroll through the close-up photos, check out the products list below the photos, and then let me know if you have any questions.

I hope you enjoyed what I shared in this video. Did you notice that I completely forgot to stamp my sentiment in my treat holder? Ooops! 😆Below are measurements, close-up photos, and a product list for the cards and treat holders that I demonstrated.

Peaceful Poppies Instant Card Designs

Ashley Kuphal, a member of my Stampers With ART group sent me this beautiful thank you card featuring the Peaceful Poppies Designer Paper, a new product that debuted a couple days ago in the 2020 Spring Catalog.

Beautiful and super easy greeting cards created with Peaceful Poppies Designer Paper, Peaceful Moments Stamp Set, Wink of Stella, Rhinestones, and embossing tools. Click here for photos of all the cards, the supplies I used, measurements, and directions. - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

I love it and was also inspired by a similar sample in the catalog (a photo of it is also shared in the online store), so I came up with a few other cards using this sheet from the Peaceful Poppies Designer Paper.

I cut one of the two sheets into 4″ x 12″ strips. I cut two of those in half. Then I cut a 3/4″ strip off the top (or bottom) of each of those so I ended up with four 3/4″ x 4″ pieces and four 5-1/4″ x 4″ pieces. And these are the cards I put together…

Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.

Measurements for cards with white base…

  • Whisper White Cardstock
    • 11″ x 4-1/4″ scored parallel to the short side at 5-1/2″
  • Peaceful Poppies Designer Paper
    • 5-1/4″″ x 4″
    • 3/4″ x 4″

Measurements for cards with black base…

  • Basic Black Cardstock
    • 11″ x 4-1/4″ scored parallel to the short side at 5-1/2″
  • Whisper White Cardstock
    • 5-1/4″ x 4: (for the inside layer)
  • Peaceful Poppies Designer Paper
    • 5-1/4″″ x 4″
    • 3/4″ x 4″

The designer paper for the card Ashley made was cut the same way. She used the back side of the strip for the sentiment piece and heat embossed the sentiment with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

For one of mine, I copied her card completely except for the positioning of the sentiment strip.

For another one where I cut the 3/4″ strip from above the flowers instead of below, I used the white (front) side for the sentiment. I embossed with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder. And I changed the base cardstock to Basic Black.

The Peaceful Poppies Suite (of which the designer paper and stamp set are a part of) is so amazing! Stay tuned. Because I’ll have many more ideas to share with you soon where I use products from this suite.

Snowman Meets Little Ladybug (Valentine Bookmark)

I’m very excited for the new 2020 Spring Catalog to debut on January 3rd! Last month I was enjoying creating with some of these new products and discovered how the “cute as a bug” sentiment in the new Little Ladybug stamp set worked so well with the worm shape you can get from the Snowman Builder Punch. I took these supplies and designed a few cards and bookworm bookmarks.

Then on Wednesday during my Online Paper Crafting Class on Facebook, I shared how to make one of the cards and the adorable bookmark and holder.

Below are measurements, close-up photos, and a product list for the cards and bookmarks that I demonstrated.

Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.

Paper Pumpkin Dec ’19 Something for Everything – Alternate Ideas

I rushed right into creating with my new December 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit because my mind was racing with alternate project ideas the moment I opened the box AND because I wanted to share with you right away. With my family on vacation for two weeks for the holidays I wanted to be sure to share with you before all of us went on relaxation, sleeping-in-late mode. 😉Hahaha!

This month’s kit (titled Something for Everything) included supplies to put together 12 attractive all-occasion cards (4 of 3 designs). And it included the supplies shown below.

The December 2019 Something for Everything Paper Pumpkin Kit. - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

I like to think outside the box…see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards, scrapbook pages and more. So I added the extra supplies in the product list at the bottom of this post to the above kit contents and created my alternate projects that I’m sharing with you today:

  • Three K-Cup holders
  • A simple congratulations card
  • A flower pot card
  • A pyramid/teepee card
  • And a 12×12 scrapbook page

Watch my video first to get to get measurements, directions, and tips (you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog). Scroll down to see close-up photos, access the links that I mentioned in my video, and see a list of extra supplies (linked to my online store) that I used to make my creations. Then be sure to visit my blog again soon, because I have many more alternate projects that I’ll be sharing in early January. 😁

Here are the cards the kit instructs how to make.
