Yesterday during my free Online Paper Crafting Class on Youtube I shared how to create a 3D advent calendar using the Traditions of Christmas Designer Paper, Keeping Traditions Sticker Sheet, boxes made from Basic White Cardstock, and more. It’s a project that will take a bit of time to put together, but you can bring it out and use it year after year! After the video, I shared what I made with my dad. He was impressed! So I filled the boxes and gave it to him to take home so he could have a sweet treat each day in December.
We were lucky—my parents were visiting! And although we’ll see them again next week for Thanksgiving, it was such a blessing to have these extra couple of days together. Last night we all went out to White Rabbit Kitchen in Andover. It was our first time there, and oh my goodness…the food was fabulous!
I hadn’t done anything special to celebrate my recent achievements and recognitions (ones I had shared in my November 14th post) because things were a bit busy before and after the trip to the BackStage Leadership conference in Las Vegas. So this dinner was my official celebration night out. And it was quite enjoyable.
Oh! I also have something else fun to share. Shortly after getting back from Las Vegas, Nancy and Kayla — two demonstrators on my team who also attended BackStage — invited me to join them at a place called Upstairs Circus. It’s a creative studio in Minneapolis where you pick a project to make and take home. And yes…mimosas were optional! 😄
I made this pretty bead & leather wrap bracelet! It was a wonderfully relaxing way to enjoy our Sunday.

I love to show kit subscribers other ways to use their supplies. I like to think outside the box, see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards, scrapbook pages, and more. So today I have several different card ideas and a 3-D idea for you along with lots of tips and tricks. Earlier today I demonstrated these ideas during my Live Online Paper Crafting Class on YouTube. A-maize-ing Z-Fold Card
Tulle Shaker Card Visit my 7/30/25 blog post for details on putting together this type of card.
I applied Tear & Tape Adhesive to front of one frame and back of the other. Then I added tulle to each layer and trimmed the edges. (The one I’m holding is the bottom layer.)
Then I added 3/16″ wide strips cut from Foam Adhesive Sheets to the frame of the bottom layer making sure to have no gaps. I peeled off the backings so I could add the other layer on top. But before doing so,…
I put my Cajun Craze Two-Tone Cardstock confetti and a few of the shiny reddish and greenish circles from the Loose Shaker Elements within the “walls” of the foam adhesive sheet strips. Then I stacked/connected the two layers together to form the shaker portion of the card.
Lastly I simply glued this to the front of the kit card base and added the sentiment strip with a couple glue dots.

If you did not get this kit, I hope you can apply these ideas to products you already own. OR…become an active subscriber and get in on the refill kit (which typically becomes available after the 20th). The refill kit doesn’t contain the ink and stamp images. But you will at least gain the main pieces and can hopefully replace most of the stamp images I used with some of your own.

Today I have some interactive cards to share. I’m excited to show you how to make these tulle shaker cards! One card features the Homemade Treats stamps and dies and would be the perfect invitation card for a holiday cookie exchange event. And the other card features the Beautiful Pumpkins stamps and dies for a fall/thankful theme. Both shaker cards involve similar steps for assembling the shaker element, but each have a slightly different overall card assembly and layout.

The Pop-Up Pals kit is one of Stampin’ Up!’s newer releases and the cards within are so cute! I had to have it. I’m a kit fanatic and I love to alter kits and share variations of what you can make with the products within.

I gave you the heads up a couple days ago that I was going to share with you cards from my Silver Elite Retreat that I hosted the weekend of January 17-19. Today is when I’m presenting the first of those two sets of cards. One is an interactive “faker shaker” card (so fun and easy to make), and the other four I would consider “fun-fold” cards. And they all feature the fabulous products from one of the most popular suites in the new January-April 2025 Mini Catalog.
