Sorry for the delay. I was on a much needed retreat this past week. I rested and enjoyed my time away. I opened my February 2025 Hello Spring Paper Pumpkin kit Monday evening, fell in love with all the beautiful imagery and colors, and put together three unique cards to share with you today. This is my first set of alternate projects. Then I’ll share more on March 1st within the collection of exclusives that my Paper Pumpkin Creatives Team is currently compiling and again on March 7th for the “A Paper Pumpkin Thing” blog hop.

I love to show kit recipients other ways to use their supplies. I like to think outside the box, see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards, scrapbook pages, and more. So today I’m sharing with you a simple window card, an altered double z-fold card, and a “diamond display” card.

I designed a card with the Layering Leaves and Leaf Collection Stamp Sets recently. I plan to send this card to current achieving and new demonstrators in my Stampers With ART group. But I’m also going to create more of them, because the card colors and imagery make me happy. And I think these would make great birthday cards for family and friends. The card features embossing, punching, and a fun background stamp layering idea.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating this cheerful greeting card. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. BTW…I recommend stamping your lighter color first so it sits more in the background. I stamped with the darker color first (since my stamp was already inked in that color) during my live class and it gave me a slightly different look…the yellow is definitely more dominant where the two colors overlap.

I received a swap card that I absolutely loved from Karen Andrusick, a team member in my Stampers With ART group. She used designer paper for the main base of the card and cardstock just for reinforcement and layers. I took her idea and designed three other versions using the Storybook Moments and Timeless Plaids papers. And I’m excited to share with you the tips and tricks for putting them together.

I gave you the heads up a couple days ago that I was going to share with you cards from my Silver Elite Retreat that I hosted the weekend of January 17-19. Today is when I’m presenting the first of those two sets of cards. One is an interactive “faker shaker” card (so fun and easy to make), and the other four I would consider “fun-fold” cards. And they all feature the fabulous products from one of the most popular suites in the new January-April 2025 Mini Catalog.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating these cards with those products from the Wildflower Birthday Suite and other coordinating Stampin’ Up! product. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. My January Paper Pumpkin kit arrived last night. Yep! I’m not one of the subscribers lucky enough to get my kits early. 🤣 Thankfully my friends Nancy & Kayla loaned me one of theirs so I could get a head start. I designed my first set of alternate projects on Monday using the contents of this card kit and a bit of other coordinating product. I’m sharing those with you today. Then I’ll share more on February 7th for the “A Paper Pumpkin Thing” blog hop. Please be sure to visit again. Then I create and share one more idea which I contribute to the collection of exclusives that my Paper Pumpkin Creatives Team is currently compiling. I share these freely with my Paper Pumpkin subscribers and team members and will be offering them for purchase on February 1st here in my Tutorials for Sale page.

But I never assemble my kits as is, because I like to show kit recipients other ways to use their supplies. I like to think outside the box, see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards, scrapbook pages, and more. So today I’m sharing with you two card ideas and a treat idea in case you want to use the supplies for classroom or co-worker Valentines.
