I got excited after creating my Delicate Wings Tucked Gatefold Card last Friday, and I quickly created a couple more that morning (yes…before packing for my trip 🤣) with the Thoughtful Journey Memories & More Cards and coordinating Designer Paper.
One is vertically oriented and the other is horizontal.
These cards also use very little products and require no stamps and ink. You can find the full list of products at the bottom of my post.
I’ll walk you through the steps of recreating the vertical one first. Here is the view with the card closed. The front panel is from the Memories & More card pack and the back is from a sheet of the designer paper.
And here is the card open. As you probably saw on last week’s post, This type of fun fold card opens by bending back those tucked side panels
Vertical Tucked Gatefold Card
Start by preparing your pieces.
Measurements…
Basic White Cardstock
5-1/2″ x 8″ scored parallel to the short side in from each end at 1-7/8″ and 3-3/4″
Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper
4-1/4” x 5-1/2”
Thoughtful Journey Memories & More Card
3″ x 4″
Pretty Peacock Cardstock
3-1/8” x 4-1/8”
Gold Foil
3-1/4” x 4-1/4”
Use a Bone Folder to fold your card base along the score lines in the directions shown in this photo below.
Layer and attach the 3″ x 4″ Memories & More card, the Pretty Peacock piece, and the Gold Foil piece.
Cut your paper parallel to the long side first at 2-3/8″ and then again at 1-7/8.” You will get three strips with a very narrow one in the middle.
Attach the narrow strip to the middle area of the card base.
Close the card and attach the other two strips to the sides leaving a little bit of white cardstock showing on the inner edges.
Flip the card over and trim any excess designer paper off.
After that add Dimensionals on the middle front designer paper strip, but make sure you don’t go too high or too low. Use the layered front piece as a guide.
Add this layered front piece so it is centered. Then add a couple dragonfly embellishments. Bend up the wings a bit on these front ones if you wish. Then add some flat ones on the inside outer panels of white to finish off the card. And that’s it!
The horizontal card is put together in a similar way.
The measurements are just a bit different. And instead of embellishing the inside outer white panels, I added a couple panels from another larger 4″ x 6″ Memories & More Card to the inside inner white panels.
Horizontal Tucked Gatefold Card
Start by preparing your pieces.
Measurements…
Basic White Cardstock
4-1/4″ x 10-1/2″ scored parallel to the short side in from each end at 2-1/2″ and 5″
3-1/8” x 4-1/8”
Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper
4-1/4” x 5-1/2”
Thoughtful Journey Memories & More Card
3″ x 4″ (for front)
Two pieces that are 2-1/4″ x 4″ (for inside background)
Textured Metallic Foil (Tungsten )
3-1/4” x 4-1/4”
Directions…
Use a Bone Folder to fold along the score lines of your card base.
Layer and attach the 3″ x 4″ Memories & More card, the smaller Basic White piece, and the Tungsten Foil piece.
Cut your designer paper parallel to the short side first at 3″ and then again at 2-1/2″ to get three strips as shown here.
Then add five Fresh Freesia Tinsel Gem embellishments to this layered front piece and the two 2-1/4″ x 4″ pieces from the other Memories & More card to the inner white panels as shown.
Close the card and add four Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gem embellishments to the designer paper under the trees.
These cards are seriously so easy to make. AND…the recipient can stand it up on display if they wish.

Today I’m sharing another card idea featuring the Flowering Zinnias Designer Paper. It’s a simple, but stunning card when you have they right patterned paper. And the new Flowering Zinnias is an ideal choice with its mixture of bright, colorful florals and more subtle, but still bright “background” prints.
I paired the paper layers with Basic White Memories & More Cards & Envelopes, images from either the Charming Sentiments or Layering Leaves Stamp Sets, and the coordinating Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins. Interested in shopping? See below for a complete list of products I used linked to where you can find them all in my online store.
The front base layer is the smaller Memories & More envelope.
The inside acts as a pocket for a gift card, a note, money, etc.
These cards were one of the make-n-take we made at our team event I helped host on the last night of OnStage in Houston last weekend.
Let me share with you how easy they are to put together. For each card you need a small envelope, a small card base, a large envelope (for gifting or mailing), and a large card base.
First cut the card bases each in half.
Set the large envelope and one of the large card base halves aside for now. Then put your other pieces (along with the designer paper layers) in this order:
other large card base half
4″ x 6″ piece of designer paper
small card base half
small envelope
other small card base half
and 3″ x 4″ piece of designer paper.
Connect the first three (large card base half, 4″ x 6″ piece of designer paper, and small card base half) as shown. Connect the last two (other small card base half and 3″ x 4″ piece of designer paper) as shown. Punch the inside of the small envelope to make a half circle allowing more ease for adding/removing the gift card.
Add Dimensionals to the backside of the smaller layered piece. Stamp a sentiment onto the unused second large card base half, punch it out, and add Dimensionals to the back. Add adhesive to the inside of the small envelope flap.
Stamp the inside sentiment.
Using the inside layer as a guide, line up and attach the small envelope so the flap wraps around and attaches in the back.
Close the card and add the front layer and the punched out sentiment piece. Then finish by embellishing with sequins.
Here are two more card designs. The outside…
…and inside.
And here are the last two designs I’ve put together.
It was fun to see all the combinations everyone came up with at the team event last Saturday. I wish I would’ve taken photos.
It’s an easy card design for a card-making event, if you are making gift sets of cards, or if you just need a lot of cards yourself. And it’s cost efficient, because every piece of every sheet is used up if cut in this way:
4 of the double-sided sheets (2 of each for 8 sheets) cut into 4″ x 6″ layers = 48 pieces
2 of the double-sided sheets (2 of each for 4 sheets) cut into 3″ x 4″ layers = 48 pieces
Then just mix and match the designs…48 total cards can be made from one pack of designer paper!

I designed and put together twenty using a half pack of the M&M cards and shared them at my Silver Elite Retreat. Then I gave everyone supplies to create the same ones. Paper crafters love to be creative though. So many made variations of my designs.
After scrolling through the photos of my 20 card designs, keep going to see the variations from Vy Tran, Kayla Cory, and Margo Tessman (my mom).
The only extra product we added into the card designs were either 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ or 3-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ layers of Basic White Cardstock. The 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ Basic White was used for layers under the 3″ x 4″ Sweet Thoughts cards and for inside layers. The 3-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ Basic White was used for inside layers. And then I used tools and adhesives of course.
I love how Dimensionals create shadow. Below I added Dimensionals under the butterfly layer on the left card and under the Basic White layer (AND under the birthday sticker) on the right card. Oh! That’s a fun bonus…the Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Cards come with sheets of coordinating stickers. So you don’t need to add in any outside ribbons, embellishments or stamps to fancy up your creations.
On these next two cards I added Dimensionals under the Basic White layer on this “Dream Big” card and under the M&M card layer with the card on the right. Then I added some stickers from the M&M card pack as decorations on the insides.
Here I added Dimensionals under the Love You Forever layer on the left card and under the Basic White layer on the right card.
For these two I added Dimensionals under the Basic White layer on this “Love” card and under the M&M card layer with the card on the right. I also added some stickers from the M&M card pack as decorations on the outsides and insides.
The landscape card on the left with the 4″ x 6″ M&M card has no Dimensionals. The one on the right has them under the Basic White layer. I added the copper sticker with the word smile to the paintbrush sticker, then trimmed it up before adding it to the inside of the card. The sticker on the inside of the landscape card is one flower that was cut into two pieces.
These two are quite simple…no Dimensionals & only one sticker added to the inside of one of the cards.
This “Hello Beautiful” card also uses no Dimensionals. But the butterfly one I turned into an easel card by adding an extra score/fold half-way through the card base front at 2-1/8″ and attaching the butterfly M&M card only to the lower half so it can prop up behind the My Heart sticker that was attached with Dimensionals to the inside.
These cards below also got an extra score line at 2-1/8″ to make them into z-fold cards. I added the Basic White layers to the insides first to make it easier to line up when adding the layers on the front. The blue card has no Dimensionals. The “world” card has them between the M&M card layer and the Basic White layer.
This “sunshine” card is similar to the “world” card above. For the “paintbrush” card I added Dimensionals between the M&M card and the Basic White layer. And on the inside I added two stickers strategically to cover the words that were on the floral & lined M&M layer.
This top card is super simple…Dimensionals under the M&M floral card, and then two added stickers (the “hello” and the flower on the inside).
The second one involves a bit more thinking though. I cut the 4″ x 6″ M&M card just to the left of the white vertical stripe. Then I attached just that right portion to the card base keeping the left portion lined up to help center it all on the front. I removed the left portion, trimmed the front to separate the right side from the left just where the right layer ends, and added flower sticker on the left front to represent asterisks before each word. And then I adhered the right side completely down, opened the left and adhered the remaining left portion of that M&M card to the inside. And I finished it all off with the “you are” sticker.
I also shared these cards in my Show-n-Tell Live that aired on Facebook and YouTube Saturday if you want to watch that. And I shared cards I’ve been gifted lately PLUS new product peeks!
Now I’d like to show you some of the variations of these Memories & More cards that were made by those who attended my Silver Elite Stars’ Retreat the weekend of January 19-21, 2024. Those who created the cards are named in the watermarks of the photos. Here are Vy Tran’s…
Here are Kayla Cory’s…
And here are my mom’s…
We had a birthday to celebrate Saturday night…my youngest Luke is turning 17 on the 7th! So we celebrated with a family party. The date was agreed upon on just last week Monday which only gave us five days to pull it together. And teenagers are busy AND aren’t the most chatty creatures when they aren’t in the mood to talk. So it took me until Thursday night to have a decent conversation with Luke. 🤣
Friday morning I shopped on Amazon for decor and found a talented local cake maker that could fit our order in. And it all came together! I’m thankful to my husband who ran all the errands, Amazon for speedy delivery, and Diedre Zelin (the gal who was able to make a fun cake with only 24 hours notice). Here are a couple photos from the fun celebration. (I’m at the party, but I was taking the photo. So you don’t see me.)

I love creating multi-layered cards…I love creating fun fold and interactive cards…I love creating cards that show off artsy techniques. But I also love putting together easy cards when I need quick turnaround. Our Memories & More Card Packs and coordinating cards & envelopes are great products for producing these types of cards.
The stamped sentiments come from the coordinating Beautiful Balloons Stamp Set and Blueberry Bushel & Pretty Peacock Ink Pads. And the accent stickers come from the card pack.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Most of the 20 base cards from the coordinating Bright & Beautiful Memories & More cards & envelopes are folded so the color appears on the inside. I guess I wanted the layers on the fronts of my cards to be the focus. And I loved the idea of a bit of color inside.
Below are the 2 sets of 10 different designs and the tips for each. Let me know if you have any questions.
Card Layout #1
Cut two 3/4″ x 3/4″ squares of Granny Apple Green or Silver Foil diagonally to get the four triangles for the corners.

Here is another set of cards that we made at the Silver Elite Retreat last weekend. Each of us took half of the Enjoy the Adventure Memories & More Card Pack…
…and a full set of Enjoy the coordinating Adventure Memories & More Cards & Envelopes…
…and created 20 quick greeting cards.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
There are only a couple that I’ll need to explain as far as measurements go. But most are just M&M 3×4 or 4×6 cards added to the front of a folded M&M card base with Dimensionals and possibly stickers or some rhinestones for added embellishing.
Cards 1 & 2…
Easy-peasy, right?! But so cute. (Remember the 2 rhinestones on the “o” on card #1.)
Cards 3 & 4…
(BTW…Inside layers are added with Seal Adhesive not Dimensionals.)
Cards 5 & 6…
Yep…I folded card #5 the opposite way so the blue was on the inside. And it may be hard to see, the exclamation mark on card #6 has a rhinestone on the dot.
Cards 7 & 8…
Both of these have rhinestones on the front flowers. Card #7 has Dimensionals under the Happy Birthday sticker. (I pounced on some powder from the Embossing Buddy to the back of this sticker to remove the stickiness before adding the Dimensionals.)
Cards 9 & 10…
The insides are blank so no photo necessary. But I have a tip for each card.
For card #9 the goal is to cover up the orange and words in the square sticker. Position the two floral stickers first (without sticking them down all the way). Cover what you can and then tuck in and stick on the leaves to cover the rest. The smallest flower is on a Mini Dimensional. And both flowers have rhinestones in the middle.
For card #10 after adding the main layer using a Dimensional in all four corners only, attach the “happy for you” sticker and tuck the black “the best time” sticker underneath to create a shadow.
Cards 11 & 12…
Card #11’s butterfly is attached with a Dimensional. Card #12’s “congrats” is attached with a Dimensional edge – a long skinny section.
Cards 13 & 14…
The insides are blank so no photo.
For card #14’s main layer is added with Seal Adhesive – flat to the card. The heart sticker is added with a Dimensional.
Cards 15 & 16…
Cards 17 & 18…
The top 3×4 layer for card #18 is cut from one of the 4×6 cards.
For card #17 (and #19), you’ll want to cut these two 4×6 pieces in this way. Ignore the extra cut in my “hello there” piece. You only need to remove 1/4″ from the top. The other one gets cut into sections: 1-1/4″, 2″, 1″ and 1-3/4″. Be sure your flowers look the same as mine in my photo when you make your cuts, so that when you flip the 2″ wide section over…
…you get this. The two sections in the middle go on card #17 – floral strip added with Seal and “thinking of you” added with Dimensionals. (And rhinestones dotting the i’s and in the center of the two flowers.)
The other two sections are then added to the “hello there” piece that has 1/4″ cut from the top so that the skinnier floral strip can line up with the new top edge and the wider one goes a bit beyond but when adhered makes it a 6″ tall card again.
Cards 19 & 20…
For card #20 add the “thank you” thought bubble sticker with a Dimensional. Then adhere the rainbow-ish sticker just a bit on each side of the thought bubble extending to each edge. Trim, then add to the card front.
The inside of card #19 looks like this and is just using stickers in a clever way to hide what’s underneath.

The Santa Express Memories & More Card Pack is still available in the US online store (it is one of the products retiring soon from the July-Dec 2022 Mini Catalog). So I thought I’d put together some Christmas cards with it to share with any of you who are looking for some super quick cards to get out in the mail this season. But hurry!… You’d want to purchase them asap (and maybe with expedited shipping) if this is your goal and you don’t have them yet.
If you already have this year’s Christmas cards done, you could grab up this card pack for next year’s cards especially if you like “quick and easy.” And by making the cards as I’ve done with this pack, you can get 66 cards!! Plus you’ll have lots of other elements of the pack left over for either creating more cards, creating some gift tags, or for using in other paper crafting projects.
The cards I put together from the 4″ x 6″ Memories & More Cards in the pack are cut in half. I used 5 of the 6 designs. And there are 3 of each of these. So you can get 5 x 2 x 3 = 30 cards total.
The cards I put together from the 3″ x 4″ Memories & More Cards will give you 36 cards… I used all 6 designs. And there are 6 of each of these. So you can get 6 x 6 = 36 cards total.
30 + 36 = 66
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurementsfor each card…
Basic White Cardstock
5-1/2” x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to short side at 4-1/4”
Layering cardstock (Real Red or Shaded Spruce)
3-1/8” x 4-1/8”
Card from the M&M pack
3″ x 4”
These five photos show that you have options for many of the designs. You can use one side OR the other. AND…you can really use any Christmas sentiment stamps you may have on hand. But I used the “Merry Christmas” image from the coordinating Santa’s Delivery Stamp Set.
A couple M&M cards I thought were best displayed on one side only, though.
Then there were some M&M cards where I needed to pick the “background” design as my card layer. This of course meant I also needed a sentiment layer.
But instead of adding cardstock, I want to show you a fun trick with the Vintage Bottle Punch and 3-1/8″ wide cardstock (which is the width we have when the M&M card is already layered onto the red or green cardstock). Just insert the punch all the way and punch out the bottle shape. Then insert the punch all the way from the other side and punch. You may need to press by rocking side to side a bit. Punching through more than one layer is a bit tough to do.
You can then just add the layers directly to the card without Dimensionals and then stamp.
Or you can use the layers as a guide, stamp, then add Dimensionals to the back to add to the card base.
I hope you enjoyed this fun and simple way to produce 66 Christmas cards quickly.
