On page 48 of the catalog, you’ll see some stunning cards with the roller coaster and ferris wheel images in silhouette. Well… I couldn’t resist and had to try my hand at recreating one of them.
Blending Brushes are amazing tools! It’s so fun to see a sheet of plain white cardstock transform with swirled on ink! And this card was very fun and easy to make.
Measurements…
Basic White Cardstock
5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4″
Basic Black Cardstock
Scraps for die-cutting the ferris wheel, the star (in the center of the ferris wheel), and the roller coaster set of cars
Directions…
First place a strip of Masking Paper (or a long Post It® note across the bottom 5/8″ of the front of the folded card base. Use Grid Paper to be sure you have a nice even area masked off.
Using Blending Brushes, color the remaining front of the card base to create the twilight sky. I added Gorgeous Grape at the top, Highland Heather in the middle, and Berry Burst at the bottom.
Add a few drops of White Craft Ink from the refill bottle into a shallow dish. Add a few drops of water and mix. Pick up this ink with a toothbrush and splatter some small white ink drops onto the surface of the twilight sky. (Practice on a dark scrap of cardstock first to make sure that the splatters create the look of tiny stars.) Allow to dry. (I wasn’t patient on mine and I have a small white smudge in the upper left corner. But I covered it up i the photos. Hahaha!)
Stamp the roller coaster with Tuxedo Black ink.
Die-cut and add the ferris wheel. Trim off the excess cardstock extending off the right edge of the card. Die-cut the star and add it to the center of the ferris wheel. Die-cut the roller coaster cars and adhere them to the roller coaster image as shown.
Peel off the mask. Stamp the word “celebrate” in the lower right with Berry Burst ink.
Then (and this is most important…) write on the inside and give the card to someone special who should be celebrated. 💜
We should be mailing and giving those cards we are creating. Touch those lives around you with a handwritten message and your art from the heart.
I hope you were creatively inspired by what I shared today. I want to encourage you to CASE cards you see that you love. Recreating creative cards shared by others builds creativity and helps you think in the direction you may have not thought about or may have forgotten about.

Reason to Celebrate Stamp Set (#166905) – available January 6, 2026
My son’s friend Eli made some cards in my studio last night. I coached him, but he picked out the images/papers, colors, sentiments, and embellishments and made decisions on the layout and overall design.
One is for his dad and one is for his mom. He learned how to stamp, die-cut, punch, use various adhesives, cut with the Trimmer, add embellishments with the Take Your Pick Tool, and fix mistakes.
And didn’t he do a great job!?

I’m trying something new! Because typing on my computer often leads to pain in my post-surgical hand (and I’ve been to the doctor many times to figure out why, but it’s a mystery), I’m going to try to post less often. But those once-a-week posts will include links to any video classes from that week and photos of any of the weekly projects.
And as far as staying up-to-date on announcements and promotions, I’ll make those announcements as I always do on my Facebook Page, AND I’ll update the promotions/announcements area on my blog. Tonight I go live with my Stampers With ART Community for our fun, creative team event called Connect, Create & Share. I will lead them in two projects: a card that I will demonstrate (those that RSVPed early enough were sent the supplies) and a mystery stamping project. Here are peeks at four sample cards I’m sharing tonight. If you tune into my Live this Wednesday, you can watch me demonstrate these for you.
I thought I’d also share a photo of these gorgeous cards that Lisa Marshall created and mass produced for me to use for my team birthday cards this fall. Aren’t they stunning!? I ended up buying this Sunflower 3D embossing folder. I just couldn’t resist.

Our son Luke and his friend Tyler are officially moving to North Hollywood, California! They signed their lease agreement yesterday. And they’ve been busy purchasing all their necessities, getting things crossed off their to do list, and researching where they can work when they get there. Please send your well wishes. And hey, if you live near North Hollywood and would be willing to be surrogate family to them out there, let me know. If you work in a movie recording studio out there and know of any entry level jobs for them, please reach out. Sometimes it’s who you know, right? Can’t blame this mom for wanting a large support system for these guys.
And yes…I’m absolutely nervous that my kiddo is officially going off into the world. But I’m also super excited for him and for Tyler!

What a week! I’m starting to catch up again though. In today’s post you will see links to my two last Lives, photos of the cards I created and shared in my “Masking & Silhouette Stamping” Live, AND one more project that I created with the Farmhouse Florals August 2025 Paper Pumpkin kit – a 12×12 scrapbook page layout.
For those of you who follow me on Facebook, in my newsletters, and/or on my YouTube Lives, you know that our youngest Luke just had hernia repair surgery on Thursday. He is doing great and taking it easy as he heals from this before his big move to Los Angeles next month.
I also had a minor medical procedure Wednesday afternoon. So both of us are on the mend. And my mother-in-law is on hospice care. So my husband was out of town Friday through Sunday. Hence the reasons I’ve been behind in my blog postings. Thank you for your patience.

And now I present my full two-page 12×12 scrapbook page layout that I created with the Farmhouse Florals August 2025 Paper Pumpkin kit. If you did not get this kit, I hope you can apply these ideas to products you already own. OR…become an active subscriber and get in on the refill kit while it’s available. The refill kit doesn’t contain the ink and stamp images. But you will at least gain the main pieces and can hopefully replace most of the stamp images I used with some of your own. And then…I encourage you to stay subscribed through September 10th so you can be in on the next kit (hints on the next kit can be found below).
The page bases are the light side (left) and dark (right) sides of the 12×12 Lost Lagoon Two-Toned Cardstock layered with 6×12 dark sides of Secret Sea Two-Toned Cardstock.
For the left page I layered sections of kit card bases together…upper right is 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, upper left is what was cut off 3″ x 5-1/2″, lower left is full card base, and lower right is 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″.
After adding these to the base page with a 1/2″ border on the top and sides and overlapping the bottom right to cover up the bottom of the upper right, I used two envelope flaps, another kit card base (2-1/8″ x 5-1/2″) and some Mossy Meadow/Gold Ribbon for the title section.
I connected one envelope flap and the ribbon to the back side of the kit card layer. And then I attached this all with Dimensionals to conceal the bag and just show the flowers.
I cut out my letters from the second envelope flap and glued them (applying the glue with the Silicone Brush and/or the Precision Tip bottle) to the title area.
I stamped some extra flowers with Crushed Curry ink and dotted the centers with a dark brown Blends Marker. Then I embellished with extra kit flowers and some Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies and Birds.
For the right page I layered two envelopes and a couple sections of kit card bases together…a full 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ card with a 3″ x 5-1/2″ piece from other cut base on the left page.
After overlapping and adding these to the base page with a 1/2″ border on the top and sides to form a 10-1/4″ x 11″ rectangle, I cut a half bag/flowers image and two circles from another kit card. Then I placed the half bag/flowers and my photo mats in this way.
I attached the die-cut circles with Dimensionals to conceal the bag and just show the flowers. I stamped some extra flowers with Crushed Curry ink and dotted the centers with a dark brown Blends Marker. Then I embellished with extra kit flowers and some Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies and Birds.
This would be a perfect layout to feature friendship or other close relationship (engagement, prom, wedding, anniversary) photos.
