Are you a fan of kits? I absolutely am. And this time I took the elements of the new So Much To Celebrate Kits Collection Kit, added a few extra supplies, and came up with a way to triple the amount of cards you can make from the kit. I love doing this! You get so much more for your money when you can stretch your supplies. And then you have even more greeting cards to give out individually, in gift sets, or in large donation amounts to organizations and facilities in need.
The cards you will see in this post are one third of what you can make from one kit. I took the supplies from each of the three styles of cards/envelopes and turned them into nine. These last three are the cards made from the envelope layers. Cut 1/16″ off the sides of each envelope to open them up. Then cut your layers from these. The Gold Foil strips are coving the creases in these layers.

We are celebrating my youngest son Luke’s and my sister’s birthdays. Luke turned 18 on the 7th. I can’t believe it. Time flies too quickly.

I love the challenge of getting more “bang for your buck.” So I’ve added Basic White cardstock and envelopes, cut and rearranged the elements and imagery from the kit, and came up with a way to create three times as many cards. Yippee!!

I love altering kits. But the Perpetual Beauty Calendar kit was one that I wanted to recreate as instructed. I absolutely LOVE it! So what am sharing today? Well, there were a few leftover pieces after assembling the calendar. And today I’m sharing with you what I created with those pieces. I’m also sharing tips that will make creating your calendar a bit easier. And I thought I’d show you another option if you want to use the kit leaf images for cards and make your perpetual calendar a little more focused on a “celebrations” theme.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago my tips and instruction for all these ideas using the contents of the kit and a bit of other coordinating Stampin’ Up! product. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. Yay! I’ve added in another Online Paper Crafting Class today. In this one I’ll be showing how to triple the cards you can get from the Card Keeper Kits Collection Kit.
I’ll cut the supplies for the two different style cards that come in the kit, add them to new card bases, and turn those two into six. Doing this with the whole kit will give you 30 cards instead of just ten!! And since this kit comes with a beautiful box, you’ll have a much fuller box afterwards.
