Have you seen all the leaves that come with the Harvest Home Garland Kits Collection Kit?!
If I counted correctly, there are 224. 😳 Wow! And that garland strand is super full when finished (as you can see in this image above). So… if you want to make your kit go a little further, I suggest putting at least a few leaves aside to make some cards. In fact, if you really wanted to (and you followed the suggestions I’m sharing today), you could technically make 76 cards from just one kit. AND you’d still have the garland base wire and acorns left over to use in another way. So I’m excited to present my cards to you today along with a basic mini wreath idea too.

I’m trying something new! Because typing on my computer often leads to pain in my post-surgical hand (and I’ve been to the doctor many times to figure out why, but it’s a mystery), I’m going to try to post less often. But those once-a-week posts will include links to any video classes from that week and photos of any of the weekly projects.
And as far as staying up-to-date on announcements and promotions, I’ll make those announcements as I always do on my Facebook Page, AND I’ll update the promotions/announcements area on my blog. So you can go to the most recent post, scroll to the very bottom, and read about what’s new and current anytime during the week. If there is something urgent, that news will also go out to those in my newsletter list.
So if you are a blog post subscriber, you will get an email about once a week rather than 2-3 times per week. And the content for that week will be in the one email. Our son Luke and his friend Tyler are officially moving to North Hollywood, California! They signed their lease agreement yesterday. And they’ve been busy purchasing all their necessities, getting things crossed off their to do list, and researching where they can work when they get there. Please send your well wishes. And hey, if you live near North Hollywood and would be willing to be surrogate family to them out there, let me know. If you work in a movie recording studio out there and know of any entry level jobs for them, please reach out. Sometimes it’s who you know, right? Can’t blame this mom for wanting a large support system for these guys.
And yes…I’m absolutely nervous that my kiddo is officially going off into the world. But I’m also super excited for him and for Tyler!

It’s a Kits Collection kit post today! Many of you have been requesting alternates from the Brighten Your Day kit, and I was able to put some creative time into this one recently. So today I’m sharing with you twelve cards that I made with the supplies of the three different kit cards. Yep! I’m sharing how you can quadruple the cards from this kit with just a bit of added basic products. So if you follow these directions for the whole kit, you could turn nine cards into 36!

Thank you for your patience. I just wasn’t feeling my best a few days ago and needed the rest. But I’m back, energized, and excited to share with you some fun alternate projects I created with the Sweet & Spooky Kit: candy wraps for lollipops and some greeting cards.
Here is a good look at all the projects that I show off in my instructional video. You can use your whole kit (which is choreographed to make 15 good-sized milk-carton shaped treat boxes) to make either 60 candy wraps or 40 greeting cards by following my instructions. This photo shows a sampler of the possibilities.

The Beautiful Blues Kit from the Kits Collection has the perfect imagery for this new fun fold card. So I pulled this kit out again and assembled today’s card. I’m calling it the Museum Gallery Fold because when open it looks like there are three panels of artwork set back behind protective barriers. These “barriers” actually help to hold the card upright and give the card added unique dimension. The pattened card bases and other elements in this kit worked great for the artwork, the sentiment layer in the middle and the sentiment and accent foliage on the lower left (on the front of the card when closed).
I actually created two other cards with the Beautiful Gallery Designer Paper prior to assembling this sample card. But this one is more simplified, so I thought I’d share it with you first.

Here are close-up photos of the finished card. This first photo shows the card closed at 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ tall – the perfect size for our A2 medium envelopes (which you would get in the Beautiful Blues kit. Notice that this is where the accents with lift and dimension would be.
But watch where you glue things down.
