Today Is a Cocktails Kind of Day

Not really… 😉 But what a fun card to give to someone when the occasion DOES call for cocktails (or at least a bit of celebrating).

Here is a festive flap fold card that I made using the Balmy Blue Glimmer paper, the In Good Taste Designer Paper, the Nothing’s Better Than Stamp Set, and the coordinating Love You More Than Dies. Access more photos, measurements, directions, and a supply list by clicking here. - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

The Nothing’s Better Than Stamp Set and the coordinating Love You More Than Dies are so much fun! And if you are not into cocktails, you could trade that word and image out for either cookies, coffee, or chocolate.

Nothing’s Better Than Bundle... - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

Here are the details if you want to recreate this card yourself.

Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.

Measurements…

  • Basic Black Cardstock
    • 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
    • 2” x 8-1/2” scored parallel to the short end at just a bit over 5-1/4”
    • 2-1/4″ x 2-3/4″
  • Balmy Blue Cardstock
    • 4” x 5-1/4”
    • 2-1/4″ x 2-3/4″
  • In Good Taste Designer Paper
    • 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”
  • Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper
    • 2” x 5-1/4”
    • Scrap for die-cutting word

Directions…

  • Add a small bit of Adhesive Sheet behind the scrap of glimmer paper, then die-cut word. Adhere to the small Basic Black piece as shown – with a bit of a curve. Stamp top sentiment image with VersaMark Ink. Carefully add Silver Emboss Powder, tap off excess, and heat with Heat Tool. Repeat with the lower sentiment image. Add the Rhinestone and set aside.

  • Stamp the other images on the Balmy Blue piece with Tuxedo Black and VersaMark Inks. Add the Rhinestone and set aside.
  • Connect the smaller portion of the folded Basic Black “flap fold” piece to the back of the Balmy Blue piece so the flap is coming over the top. Adhere to the Basic Black layer. Then adhere the designer paper piece on top of the Balmy Blue.
  • Next add the stamped Balmy Blue piece to the inside of the card (on the designer paper) as shown.
  • Fold the flap shut. Add the glimmer paper, then add the stamped Basic Black piece using Multipurpose Liquid Glue so it is covering the Balmy Blue piece underneath.

Wildly Happy Swing Fold Cards (& Sale Extended!)

Our demonstrator group has been playing around with Swing Fold cards after my upline, Susan Campfield and sideline, Kelly Burkart introduced this as our “mystery stamping” make-n-take project during an online team event earlier this month. It’s currently one of my favorite folds, because it’s super easy to put together and it’s so interactive for the recipient…a fun card for ANY age!

I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating this fun fold card using the Wildly Happy Stamp Set, Snowflake Splendor Designer Paper, Artistry Blooms Designer Paper, Artistry Blooms Sequins, and the Stamparatus. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video by clicking here (or you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog post), scroll through the close-up photos that follow, check out the measurements & products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.

I hope you enjoyed what I shared in this video. Below are measurements, close-up photos, and a product list for what I demonstrated. (Please subscribe to my YouTube channel so you can get updates when I share and go live).

PAPER PUMPKIN PAST KITS AND REFILLS AVAILABLE AGAIN!

The online store functionality that allows SU to offer these products is working now! Paper Pumpkin Past Kits and Refills are available once again. These products are only available while supplies last and require an active Paper Pumpkin subscription to be allowed to order. SU will continue to release new past kit and refill products each month as inventory and demand allow. If you’re interested in purchasing these products, they’re typically released—if available—on the 4th Monday of each month.

Gift Box In A Card Nov 2020

In this video I share my November 2020 versions of the “Gift Box In A Card” project with updated, fun, new products. This 3-D project was something I shared on my blog a little over three years ago. But this time I created versions of it with the Nothing’s Better Than Stamp Set, Love You More Than Dies, Curvy Dies, Classic Christmas Designer Paper, and Brushed Metallic Cardstock. And… I’ve adjusted some measurements to make things fit better.

I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating this project. In fact, I shared two versions of it.

While constructing the new online store, Stampin’ Up! had to temporarily suspend the offering of Paper Pumpkin past kits and refills. Well…good news!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop: Joy To the World

It's a Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop… #stampyourartout - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

#APaperPumpkinThing
Welcome to our monthly “A Paper Pumpkin Thing” blog hop! See what I have to share. Then check out all the other blogs in the hop to see additional creative alternate paper crafting project ideas that we each came up with using the contents of the October 2020 Joy To the World Paper Pumpkin kit. Here is a photo of the intended projects from this month’s kit: eight full-size cards (four of two kinds measuring 5-7/8 x 4-1/8 or 14.9 cm x 10.47 cm) and coordinating envelopes.

The October 2020 Joy To The World Paper Pumpkin Kit. - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

I’ve already shared some other alternate projects using the contents of this kit on October 20th.

  • Quintuple the kit to make 40 holiday cards
  • And an adaption of last month’s hand sanitizer holders.

CLICK HERE to check them out for more ideas.

Today I am sharing two cards with you. The first is very easy to recreate and does not require much extra product outside the kit. I only added a circle punch, an X-acto knife and a surface to cut on like a self-healing mat or cardboard.

I’m excited to share with you a couple more cards I created with the October 2020 Joy To The World Paper Pumpkin Kit! Products I used… See below for a complete list of extra products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.

Directions…

  • Punch a 2-1/4″ circle in the front layer of the card base.
  • Tie on some twine. (I wrapped the twine around twice before tying in a bow.)
  • Adhere one of the die-cut words from the kit.
  • Use the X-acto knife to cut around the petals on the inside of the center flower from the floral piece in the kit. Do the cutting on a safe surface such as a self-healing mat or cardboard. Notice I didn’t connect my cuts. Then use a bone folder to lift and curl them a bit.

  • I recommend watching the video I shared yesterday so you can understand how it comes together.
  • Then cut all the pieces and remember what they are for. (I mention lots of details above in the measurements section.)
  • Add the stamped sentiment after folding the card into a closed position so it is 1/8″ from the right edge as shown below.

I’m Calling it a Bookshelf Card

I was on Facebook browsing the other day and a post came up in my newsfeed – a fun fold card shared by fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, Teresa Brown. She shared her card in an exclusive demonstrator-only Facebook group. But I didn’t see any directions from her in the comments or post itself. So I studied the card and figured it out. And I’m calling it a bookshelf card because it holds a bookmark AND because it looks like it has a build-in bookshelf. Hahaha!

I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating this unique card. I also showed three other versions of the card all using the Poinsettia Place Designer Paper, the Best Year Stamp Set, and some beautiful coordinating products.

PAPER PUMPKIN PAST KITS AND REFILLS AVAILABLE AGAIN SOON!
While constructing the new online store, Stampin’ Up! had to temporarily suspend the offering of Paper Pumpkin past kits and refills. Well…good news!

Paper Pumpkin kits of creativity! I love to think outside the Paper Pumpkin box and share my alternate ideas in videos, on Pinterest and on my blog. After seeing what I create, you may have to get your hands on these crafting kits, too! - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com
