I just hosted my 9th annual Silver Elite Retreat! So I have the event make & take projects to share with you today. I was also able to preorder March Online Exclusives & the new Stampin’ Positioner last week. So I have those to share with you as well. It’s a lot of content into today’s blog post. Yay!
I’ll show photos from the retreat in a future blog post, but a HUGE congrats to Cheryl Lee & mother/daughter team Nancy Forsberg & Kayla Cory for earning spots at this year’s retreat! What did we make?… I couldn’t resist the products in the Cute As A Bug Suite Collection and created almost all the make & takes with those fun papers and adorable bug images & shapes. We made a set of simple cards, a box for the cards (showing two versions). a Panel Z-Fold card (that I mostly cased from fellow demonstrator, Emma Goddard), and a Triple Z-Fold card (showing two versions).

I’ve been slow at getting back into the groove after returning from our family vacation out west. But I went live on 1/16/26 to show off the amazing cards and gifts sent my way since my last Show & Share in November.

We had a wonderful visit with our son Luke in his new home of Los Angeles. We also got to spend some time in that trip seeing family and friends. It was a nice getaway for Tim, Nick and me. And t so good to see Luke. We miss him. But he’s doing great!
1/7/26 – We flew out to Las Vegas, checked into Green Valley Resort (compliments of aunt Ann & uncle Luther), visited with them, and drove the strip. 1/8/26 – We drove and hiked in the Red Rock Canyon,…
…went downtown to see the Fremont Street Experience, visited the Pawn Stars store, and then had dinner with Luther and Ann at Giuseppe’s. 1/9/26 – traveled across the Mohave Desert and stayed a night in the Palmdale/Lancaster area which is where I lived and taught elementary education for four years after college.
I have demonstrators in my team that live in that area. Four of us were able to gather at Mariacristina’s that night (Mariacristina, Rose,…
…Pat and Hildy). Tim and Nick hung back at the hotel and had fun on their own.
1/10/26 – We drove to North Hollywood and finally got to see and hug Luke! We went directly to Luke & Tyler’s place to visit for awhile, saw the Brady Bunch house (not far from where they live),…
…went to the Griffith observatory (to see a great view of the city and the Hollywood sign),…
…walked the Hollywood Blvd/Walk of Fame, and ended the night by watching Luke & Tyler’s movie that they filmed last year in 12th grade. It was our first time seeing it!
1/11/26 – We drove up the coast to Malibu, had breakfast at Le Café De La Plage, stopped to explore El Matador Beach,…
…then finally made the drive up to Solvang (a town known for it’s Danish/Scandinavian architecture & culture). After a long drive back, we ended the day at the outdoor hot tub at our hotel.
1/12/26 – This is the day we explored the Venice Beach/Muscle Beach area.
We also visited Santa Monica Pier and had gelato at Bacio di Latte.
That evening I was blessed to connect with even more team members (Alie, Rosie, and Jenny) at the Granville restaurant on Ventura Blvd. Tim, Nick and Luke joined us this time. Before heading back to our hotel we also checked out Rodeo Drive.
1/13/26 – On this day we went to see Universal Studios City Walk in the morning and then went on the tour of Warner Bros Studios!
That evening, we went shopping and picked up a bunch of groceries for Luke, got food from Cava (where he works) and met some of his friends that work there, and then enjoyed the hotel hot tub one last time.
1/14/26 – After breakfast at Jumpin Java, we said our good-byes to Luke (I was in tears) and took off back to Las Vegas. On the way we stopped along the 14 to visit and hike the Vasquez Rocks.
We arrived in Las Vegas shortly before 5 PM, met up with aunt Ann again, had dinner together at Bottiglia inside the resort,…
…drove to and walked around to see more of the strip, then saw a Cirque de Soleil show called Mad Apple at the New York New York casino/hotel.
And… we connected with Chloe (one of my former students when I was a teacher in the Palmdale, CA area in the early 1990’s) and her daughters for a late afternoon meal. What a treasure!
Our entire trip was amazing! We can’t wait to go again.

As you may know I ALWAYS love to show kit subscribers other ways to use their supplies. I enjoy thinking outside the box to see what else I can come up with. I create alternate cards, scrapbook pages, and more.

I’m so in love with the new Fragrant Layers Stamp Set & coordinating Dies and how so many of the images and shapes can stack and layer. So I’ve been playing with with this bundle and came up with a trifold card (with a quick and easy trick for lining up the flower layers) to share with all of you today.

I’ve got more Tower Pillar Cards for you today. This time I played around with the depth of this fun fold card and used various size frames made from nesting die sets: Everyday Arches and Spotlight on Nature. The “Tunnel” Tower Pillar Cards both feature the much adored Storybook Moments Designer Paper (which is still available but in short supply!) and a few other Stampin’ Up!® product including a couple items that will become available January 6th.

It’s Paper Pumpkin Kit day! I’ve been creating with my December 2025 Watercolor In Bloom Paper Pumpkin kit these past two days, and I am excited to share several of my alternate project ideas with you today:
How to turn the 3 kit cards into 6 to double the cards you can get from the kit
This kit contains enough supplies to make 9 gorgeous cards (3 of 3 kinds). Did you get the kit and want to make them as intended? Click here for a link to Stampin’ Up!’s how-to video.
But as you may know I ALWAYS love to show kit subscribers other ways to use their supplies. I enjoy thinking outside the box to see what else I can come up with. And then I come up with alternate cards, scrapbook pages, and more.
This morning I demonstrated these ideas during my Live Online Paper Crafting Class on YouTube. Maybe you tuned in? If you did not get this kit, I hope you can apply these ideas to products you already own. OR…become an active subscriber and get in on the refill kit (which typically becomes available after the 20th). The refill kit doesn’t contain the ink and stamp images. But you will at least gain the main pieces and can hopefully replace most of the stamp images I used with some of your own.

I created this first set of six cards with the supplies from the three kit cards. If you copied these layouts with all your kit supplies you could double the cards from your kit turning nine cards into 18!
Here is that adorable tiny little treat container. A big thank you to Jennifer Hill for the inspiration! (She gifted me a treat container made this way at BackStage.)
My scrapbook page started with card and envelope pieces positioned up to the four corners of my Secret Sea 12×12 mat. And then I added the foil paper and embossed cardstock through the center to fill in the gaps.
And here is the end result!
I cut the HAPPY letters once from the copper foil and once from White Willow Cardstock. Then I used the Silicone Basting Brush & the Silicone Sheet to apply glue to these thin letters to “stack” them and add them to the page.
This last card is a showstopper! For my members-only Live for my aRT Supporter members on Friday night, I shared how to make a landscape Tower Pillar Card (that folds flat to 4-1/4″ tall x 5-1/2″ wide). This one is positioned the other direction and folds flat to 4-1/4″ wide x 5-1/2″ tall. It looks complicated, but it’s not really.

Reason to Celebrate Stamp Set (#166905) – available January 6, 2026
My son’s friend Eli made some cards in my studio last night. I coached him, but he picked out the images/papers, colors, sentiments, and embellishments and made decisions on the layout and overall design.
One is for his dad and one is for his mom. He learned how to stamp, die-cut, punch, use various adhesives, cut with the Trimmer, add embellishments with the Take Your Pick Tool, and fix mistakes.
And didn’t he do a great job!?
