So today I’m going to demonstrate how to make a couple different styles of cards: the Pinched Paper Layout and the Zig Zag Fold. I’m using a variety of Stampin’ Up!® products including the Perennial Lavender & Brushed with Beauty Papers, the Charming Day & Beautiful Butterflies Bundles, and Blends Markers.

Part of that presentation focused on card sketches. We shared how most of them can be seen on p. 22, but that there are a few others hidden gems here and there. On p. 103 you can find the “hidden gem” sketch that inspired today’s and Saturday’s creations. These pages show that sketches are meant to be “starting points” and that you don’t have to use card sketches just to inspire card creations, right?
I used the Sweet Peas Stamp Set, circles from two sets of dies and a punch, and the pretty Flowering Zinnias Designer Paper to create this page. And just like the page that I shared on Saturday, I have horizontal strips with a large circle focal point and sentiment strip off on the left (closely in alignment with the card sketch on p. 103).

Basic White Cardstock
12″ x 12″
Scraps for stamping and fussy-cutting the extra leaves
Scrap for die-cutting 3-1/4″ diameter circle
Scrap for die-cutting 1-5/8″ diameter stitched circle
Crumb Cake Cardstock (from the Neutrals 12×12 pack)
11-3/4″ x 11-3/4″
Flowering Zinnias Designer Paper
Three different 1/2″ x 11-3/4″ strips
Blackberry Bliss Cardstock
Four pieces cut to 4” x 5-3/8”
Scrap for punching 1-3/4″ diameter circle
3/4″ x 3″ strip for sentiment
Highland Heather Cardstock
Four pieces cut to 3-7/8” x 5-1/4”
Directions
Die-cut the Basic White circles. Punch the Blackberry Bliss circle.
Stamp the Sweet Pea image with Garden Green ink on the 1-5/8″ diameter stitched circle. Using this circle as a guide, stamp the leaves where they look best on the larger die-cut white circle. Stamp even more leaves on the white scraps. Then color them all in with the Blends Markers.
Layer and adhere the circles to create the focal point image. Fussy-cut out the remaining leaves.
Position the Blackberry Bliss photo mat layers, designer paper strips, and leaves on the 11-3/4″ x 11-3/4″ layer. When everything looks balanced and lined up, take one piece at a time and secure it with adhesive. Trim off any excess branch pieces, then add this whole layer to the 12″ x 12″ Basic White layer using Dimensionals.
Stamp (with VersaMark ink) and heat emboss (with white embossing powder) the ‘Welcome Sweet Pea’ sentiment. Add the die-cut circle using Dimensionals. But be sure that the adhesive does not connect to the photo area and also allows room for the sentiment strip.
Slide in and adhere the sentiment strip in place.
Embellish here and there with Transparent Adhesive-Backed Dots.
Then add the Highland Heather photo mats and/or photos to finish off the page.

Card Sketches are great for inspiring card creations. But they can also influence other projects. I was inspired by a card sketch found on page 103 in Stampin’ Up!’s 2024-25 Annual Catalog for this scrapbook page layout. (It’s the tiny sketch shown just above the “I’m here for you” card featuring the girl and her teddy bear.) I stretched the horizontal strips, and added photos and accent areas nearby. But you can see that the design is still very similar to the original sketch.

Scraps for stamping and fussy-cutting two sets of leaves
Scraps for die-cutting 3-1/4″ diameter circle
Thoughtful Designs Specialty Designer Paper
Four different 3/8″ x 11-3/4″ strips
Basic Black Cardstock
Four pieces cut to 4” x 5-3/8”
3/4″ x 3″ strip for sentiment
Smoky Slate Cardstock
Four pieces cut to 3-7/8” x 5-1/4”
Directions
Stamp the leaves image twice on the scraps and once on the die-cut circle (leaving room for the butterfly). Then stamp the butterfly. If you don’t trust yourself to line up the butterfly correctly, you could use a positioning tool or you could stamp the butterfly on a separate scrap of white to fussy-cut and add later.
Color the leaves and butterfly with the Stampin’ Blends Markers. Then cut out the two branches of leaves.
Position the black photo mat layers, designer paper strips and leaves on the 11-3/4″ x 11-3/4″ white. When everything looks balanced and lined up, take one piece at a time and secure it with adhesive. I added the end leaves on the top branch with Dimensionals so they lift off the page a bit. Trim off any excess branch pieces, then add this whole layer to the 12″ x 12″ Basic White layer using Dimensionals.
Stamp (with VersaMark ink) and heat emboss (with white embossing powder) the ‘dear friend’ sentiment. Add the die-cut circle using Dimensionals. But be sure that the adhesive does not connect to the photo area and also allows room for the black strip.
Slide in and adhere the black strip in place.
Embellish here and there with Transparent Adhesive-Backed Dots.
Then add the Smoky Slate photo mats and/or photos to finish off the page.

Yesterday I shared three cards that I had made with the newly released Changing Leaves Hybrid Bundle found in the Online Exclusives section of the Online Store. Be sure to check out my 7/2/24 post for the how-to video and other details for these cards.
As I mentioned in my instructional video from yesterday, those three cards were based on this blueberry card design (shown below) that I initially made. I needed several of these blueberry hello cards to send out to those who purchased the Starter Kit recently. And I had quite a large stash of Azure Afternoon circles leftover from my May and July 2023 Layering Leaves Classes that I never threw out.
I’m completely in love with the Blueberry Bunches Stamp Set and it paired so well with those punched out circles. Circles are so eye-catching and make a great background! Plus, what better shape for a blueberry themed greeting card, right?
I’m sharing the measurements and supplies with you. But I don’t have written directions for you today or a separate how-to video. I figured you could watch the video from yesterday’s cards if you need directions again. But I DID put together a quick reel and just this morning shared it to my Instagram account. The Changing Leaves Hybrid Bundle is a new stamp/die/embossing folder bundle that will become available tomorrow when the next set of Online Exclusives appear in the Online Store. So I decided to share it with you today with the cards I’ve designed for my Online Paper Crafting Class!

I’m absolutely in love with Stampin’ Up!’s new 2024-26 In Color Collection! These trending colors debuted in the 2024-25 Annual Catalog and in the Online Store on May 1st. But many of us demonstrators/reps for the company were able to get our hands on these colors much earlier. So I showed them off in a Live video on March 19th. Did you view it? So today I thought I’d show you some fun fold cards featuring these products paired with the new Friends For Life Bundle. You can make versions of these cards with any colors or with other stamps and dies. But I wanted to feature these new colors AND I chose this bundle because is has a variety of sentiments and the leaf imagery coordinates great with one of the designer paper patterns.
I also thought I’d show off one of my favorite cards I received in a recent swap. This card (designed by fellow demonstrator, Virginie Julien) features all these new colors in a beautiful watercolor design.
