I’m so in love with the Come Sail Away Suite of products! The colors are fabulous, the images are beautiful, and the patterns and designs in the papers are very striking. Plus it reminds me of my incentive trip. Of course the ship I was on for the Greek Isles was VERY different, but still…?⚓️
This past Wednesday in my Facebook Live Online Paper Crafting class I focused on the Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack and coordinating products. I went a little crazy and made thirteen cards and a couple treat containers.
I then uploaded the recorded version of my Facebook Live video to my YouTube channel (since I know not everyone is ON Facebook). Be sure to watch the video (you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog), check out the products list below, scroll through the close-up photos, and then let me know if you have any questions.
I hope you enjoyed the cards and bags I shared in this video. Below are measurements (and photos) of the bag that I put together. And further down are close-up photos of all the cards I shared.

The Paper Pumpkin concept artists have done it again…designed a wonderfully unique kit! This month’s July 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit introduces subscribers to three fabulous suites of products in the 2019 Annual Catalog: Garden Lane, Woven Threads and Come Sail Away. And by doing so they have created a kit perfect for those who want to have a good variety of cards on hand ready to give.
Yes, this kit is fantastic as is. It includes supplies to put together 9 eclectic cards: 3 of 3 kinds and includes the supplies shown below.
But I like to think outside the box…see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards, scrapbook pages and more. So I added the extra supplies in the product list at the bottom of this post to the above kit supplies and created my alternate projects that I’m sharing with you today:
Three Self-Closing Tube-Shaped Treat Containers
THREE 12×12 Scrapbook Page Layouts!
and Five Greeting Cards
Watch my video first to get to get measurements, directions, and tips (you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog). Then scroll down to see close-up photos, access the links that I mentioned at the beginning of my video, and see a list of extra supplies (linked to my online store) that I used to make my creations. You’ll notice that the video is titled “Part 1.” Part 2 will be ready tomorrow. ?
Here is a photo of the cards the kit instructs how to make.
And here are close-up photos of the alternate projects I made and shared in my video. (Remember to watch the video first to get measurements, tips and directions.)
THREE SELF-CLOSING TUBE-SHAPED TREAT CONTAINERS
The 12×12 designer paper allows for a much bigger size container as you can see!
THREE 12×12 SCRAPBOOK PAGE LAYOUTS
I sort of went overboard with this. My favorite is the last layout.
FIVE GREETING CARDS
I hope I inspired your creativity with what I shared today!

This year two all-inclusive favorites have returned: Lots of Happy and Notes of Kindness. Click here to see how I doubled the amount of cards in the Lots of Happy kit by adding Basic Black Cardstock. And click here to see how I turned the cards in the Notes of Kindness kit into birthday cards.
Like the other all-inclusive kits, everything you need is included: all the consumables, the stamps, a mini ink pad, a clear block for mounting and using your stamps, adhesives, and a directions sheet. I altered the intended cards just a little bit by using some of the extra supplies. Yep! This kit includes lots of extras so you can either add in extra card base pieces & envelopes to make additional cards OR use the extras to give your cards a little more 3-D effect…which is what I did.
The Looking Up kit makes 15 cards (3 of 5 kinds) and comes with fun coordinating envelopes. I love this kit because in includes a variety of sentiments, it’s easy to put together, AND the cards aren’t feminine. So you can make these cards for the guys (and kids!) in your life.
Watch this video by Stampin’ Up! first to see how to make the cards as intended. Then scroll down to see my variations.
I altered the hot air balloon card by attaching the extra balloon die-cuts with Dimensionals over the ones pre-printed on the card. I stamped some birds in the sky. And I added an extra copper metallic border sticker.
I altered the airplane card by attaching the extra airplane die-cut with Dimensionals slightly off center of the pre-printed one on the card to give it a shadow effect and give it an illusion of movement. I stamped some birds in the sky. And I added an extra copper metallic border sticker.
I altered the rain drops card by attaching the extra rain drops die-cuts with Glue Dots onto the sentiment layer. I also added copper metallic leaves from the extra sticker to the inside edges of the card.
I altered the palm tree card by attaching the extra palm tree die-cuts with Dimensionals. I also shifted the sentiment so it was centered and added an extra copper metallic border sticker on top of the first one to make it stronger and more solid in appearance.
And I altered the city sky line card by attaching the extra small tree die-cuts on the inside of the card – one with Glue Dots and one with Dimensionals. I also added two small diamond copper metallic stickers (left overs from one of the border stickers) on the sentiment piece to “anchor” the ends and give that layer a more finished look.
Did you notice those envelopes!?!! SO adorable how they all coordinate, right?
I hope I gave you a great peek into this new kit and gave you some ideas for making the cards a little more elaborate.
One more thing I want to point out is that you don’t have to use all the sentiments. So if you are needing 15 birthday cards, use the Happy Birthday stamp on ALL of them! The sentiments are all about the same size and can work on every label piece.

This past Tuesday I played with the new 2019-21 In Colors, the Woven Threads Designer Paper, the Floral Essence Stamp Set, and the In Color Faceted Dots in my Facebook Live Online Paper Crafting class. Just a few more hours before the Last Chance Products are gone! Did you get the Large Letter Framelits Dies? You may be happy to know that they are STILL available AND they are discounted. ?
Here is a 12×12 page layout I put together last week using those dies, the Rooted In Nature Stamp Set, and the coordinating Nature’s Roots Dies. Once our beloved Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set sold out, I set this page aside telling myself I couldn’t share it now. But I changed my mind! Haha! Obviously. I only used one image from the Lovely As A Tree set for the “O” in HOME. If you never got that stamp set, you COULD use the letter dies OR you could use another image in the Rooted In Nature Stamp Set,.
To get the lift in the title, die-cut the letters twice and stack them using Dimensionals in between.
All ordering will be down so Stampin’ Up! can do catalog transition updates from midnight to noon (MT). During this time no orders can be entered by demonstrators and by customers in the Online Store.
The 2019-2020 Annual Catalog sales period begins on or possibly before noon (MT) and runs through June 2, 2020.

I’ve teamed up with my son Nick to bring to you a couple more alternate card creations from the May 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit. (Click here to see what I’ve shared already with this kit.)
In this pre-recorded video my son, Nick and I stamp together! He shares how to make one of the kit cards and then demonstrates another card that he designed! He is raising money for his January 2020 Disney World trip with his Jazz Band. So I told him that I would donate 30% off my sales for a month if he wanted to do something stamping-related with me. He is a YouTuber himself, and so this video was the perfect idea. He doesn’t stamp much at all (unless I ask him to help me mass produce swap cards or something), so it was fun to see him enjoy this whole process!
Watch my video first to get to get measurements, directions, and tips (you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog). Then scroll down to see close-up photos, access the links that we mentioned at the beginning of my video, see photos and details for a bonus card I made after recording, and see a list of extra supplies (linked to my online store) that we used to make our creations.
Below are close-up photos of the cards Nick made and shared in this video. (Remember to watch the video first to get measurements, tips and directions.)
Then below those is an extra masculine card that I put together after recording the video.
Nick’s cards
The one on the left he made per the kit directions (and my guidance). The one on the right was his own design.
Measurements for the one on the right…
Old Olive Cardstock
8-1/2” x 5-1/2” scored at 4-1/4” and folded in half
Whisper White Cardstock
Two pieces that are 3-5/8″ x 5-1/8″
Nest print card from the kit
Just cut card in half to get a piece that measures 3-1/2″ x 5″
Products we used… See below for a complete list of products we used linked to where you can find them in my online store. (The Bird Ballad Designer Paper will debut on June 4 in the 2019-20 Annual Catalog, so the link will not work until then.)
He must have been having a lot of fun during the recording of the video, because he changed his plans as he got to the inside. And he decided to get a little more “decorative.” ?
Nick’s last day of piano for the year was his recital on May 19. So after recording this video that morning, he brought this card and a gift to his piano teacher…
…and presented it to her at the end of the recital. ❤️
Do you want to place an order between now and the end of June
to help raise money for Nick’s Disney World Jazz Band trip?
After recording the video, I put together a card using the other half of the nest print kit card Nick used and some scraps I had after making the cards I shared on May 21st.
It’s a z-fold card and super easy to make.
Measurements…
Soft Suede Cardstock
8-1/2” x 5-1/2” scored at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4”
Very Vanilla Cardstock
3-3/4″ x 5″
Nest print card from the kit
Just cut card in half to get a piece that measures 3-1/2″ x 5″ (the non-printed Crumb Cake half)
Cut a strip off of the printed side that measures 1/4″ x 5″
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Directions…
Adhere the 1/4″ x 5″ printed strip to the bottom of the Very Vanilla piece.
Stamp the speckled image randomly onto the Crumb Cake and the Very Vanilla pieces as shown. (To get the lighter ink, stamp off onto scrap paper then stamp onto the cardstock.)
Stamp the sentiment onto a medium label piece from the kit.
Fold the Soft Suede Cardstock in half and then fold in the opposite direction at the 2-1/8″ score line to create the z-fold.
Adhere all the layers as shown and add the feather.
Even if you can’t purchase to help out Nick’s trip fundraiser (maybe you are a demonstrator yourself, or you don’t live in the US, or you purchase through another), I hope you enjoyed this video anyway. I’m so proud of him! ❤️And I hope we inspired your creativity with what we shared today!
