I’m early! Yay!! I was excited when I got my hands on the special Paper Pumpkin kit this month. And I got to creating right away.

Why is this kit special? Stampin’ Up!’s board chair & cofounder, Shelli Gardner worked closely with designers and concept artists to create a Paper Pumpkin kit that was uniquely hers. AND this May 2019 Hugs From Shelli kit went “global.” Normally these kits are available only in the US and Canada. But paper crafters in all South Pacific, European, and North American markets were able to get their hands on it!

While this kit is fantastic as is (it includes supplies to put together 12 beautiful note cards: 3 of 4 kinds and includes the supplies shown below)…

…I like to think outside the box, see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards and other project ideas. I added the extra supplies in the product list below to the above kit supplies to create my alternate projects that I’m sharing with you today:

• eight cards from the supplies of 4 (to show how to double your kit!)
• and a 12×12 scrapbook page layout

12X12 SCRAPBOOK PAGE LAYOUT

I love scrapbooking, and I’ve created pages with every kit since Paper Pumpkin first started back in March 2013. My goal is to fit many photos on my layouts, thus the multiple photo mats. This layout was fairly simple to put together with elements from the May 2019 kit, some coordinating Bird Ballad Designer paper, Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon, a Bird Ballad Trinket and some Neutrals 12×12 Cardstock. The most time consuming part was cutting around the nest and branches.

ANNUAL CATALOG NEWS
Due to recent supplier issues (and other factors), Stampin’ Up! will no longer be carrying the current die-cutting machine and trimmer: The Big Shot and Stampin’ Trimmer are retiring. These changes are giving Stampin’ Up! the opportunity to research and explore replacement options. But there will be a gap when we do not have a trimmer or die-cutting machine available. You will not see these items in the upcoming 2019-20 Annual Catalog that debuts June 4, 2019. Click here for more information.
