So today I am just bringing to you the 24 photos of my four Vertical Stretch fun-fold cards. (24! I know. I take too many photos.) I originally shared this fun-fold back in March. Click here to see that post and to see my how-to video for this fold. Then scroll down to see close-up photos, measurements, and a supply list (at the very bottom) of the Vertical Stretch cards I made with the First Frost Suite of products from the 2018 Holiday Catalog.
If you ARE on Facebook, I invite you to “like” then “follow” my page so you can get updates when I share and when I go live. My new time now that school is back in session (and my boys aren’t here at home with me during the day) is every Wednesday afternoon at 11 AM Central Time. My next broadcast will be tomorrow, September 26th.
I hope you enjoyed what I had to share today. Thanks for stopping by!

I’ve gotten a little behind again in sharing swap cards. And so I have two sets of swaps to share with you today! Yay!! LOTS of card ideas. 😀 These cards are from creative people in my Stampers With ART Community. The swappers’ names are listed in the watermark of each card. There are 22 cards total. The cards feature new products that either debuted in the 2018 Holiday Catalog or the 2018-19 Annual Catalog. It’s amazing to see all the different ideas creative people can come up with!
Products: I can’t possibly list them all for each of these cards, but…see below for a list of main products used in these cards linked to where you can find them in my online store.
These first 7 cards are some of the ones I received in our July swap. They highlight some of the new products from our 2018-19 Annual Catalog.
This card below is by a mom/daughter team. You can find more information about Nancy & Kayla’s card below hereon their blog.
JoAnn is also a fellow blogger and has more information for her card below. Click here to get to her blog.
These last 16 cards are some of the ones I received in our September swap and highlight some of the new products from our 2018 Holiday Catalog.
Nicole featured her card below on her blog as well. Click here to access that link.
And Mackenzie also has a website. Though she did not blog about this card below that she CASEd and altered from a sample card in the 2018 Holiday Catalog, you can click here to see her other creations.
Here is one more card by JoAnn. You can find lots more details about this one by clicking here.

The 2018 Stampin’ Up! incentive trip is just a little over 3 weeks away now! Our family is getting super excited. Yep…this year our boys, Nick and Luke will be coming with us on an Alaskan cruise!!
This will only be their 2nd incentive trip. The first one they attended was about 6 years ago when Stampin’ Up! took us to Disney World. What a fabulous adventure that was! I know this will be another trip of a lifetime for all of us, too.
I’m participating in two swaps while on the trip. So today I’m sharing one of them – my 3-D swap.
I WAS going to make an adorable rhinoceros box, but I decided to do a fun-fold card version of that instead for my other incentive trip swap. (I just designed the card today and will share that soon.) My 3-D swap is going to be my OTHER altered gable box that I showed in the video that I shared on the 14th. Here are photos of it. Be sure to watch the video by CLICKING HERE (or viewing it my my June 14th post) to get tips on embossing and altering the box. Measurements for the extra supplies and additional directions/tips are below. The products I used to make the box are listed at the very bottom of this post and linked to my online store.
Measurements:
Shimmery White Cardstock: small scrap for stamping and punching 1-1/4″ circle
Poppy Parade Cardstock: small scrap for punching 1-3/8″ scallop circle
Silver Foil Sheet: small scrap for punching 1-1/2″ circle
Paper straw: 5-1/4″
Tips/Directions:
View my video for tips on embossing & altering the box and adding the paper straw handle (take apart box carefully at the seam, emboss entire box in sections, assemble box, trim off the two “handled” sections and tape down the 1/2″ excess with Tear & Tape, use a pencil to create holes for the straws.)
Stamp “Celebrate” and the stars images close together onto the Shimmery White scrap. Punch out with the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch. Layer this onto the 1-3/8″ Poppy Parade scallop circle with SNAIL and then onto the 1-1/4″ Silver Foil circle with Dimensionals.
Attach layered circle to the front of the box with Dimensionals.
Embellish box front with rhinestones.
Add shreddies and chocolates to the inside, and give as a gift to celebrate a special occasion or holiday.
I thought these would be fun for Independence Day celebrations. But red and white also works for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and more.
Now I’m inspired to do a masculine tool box version of this! Can you picture that, too?

Look what my mother made! She shared this photo with me after decorating the top of her wood-burning stove at the lake place (my mom & dad’s home) up north. I loved that she embellished her flameless LED candles by wrapping them with cardstock that she had die-cut with her So Detailed Thinlits dies. These dies are retired now, but they came back recently and are available in the Clearance Rack in the online store.
Wishing you all a VERY merry Christmas! And hoping you are surrounded by love and warmth this holiday season.
Last week I held a Holiday Gathering with my Stampers With ART Stars. For part of that gathering we had a gift exchange. Each person that participated brought/sent a gift that was at least partially hand-stamped.
I loved the idea of making a gift bag from an Acetate Box by cutting the box in half and adding handles. (My upline Susan Campfield made a super cute penquin one as a gift to me at OnStage.) I had a matching set of Project 7 Gourmet Gum & Gummies in the Champagne Dreams Flavor. And I found that it coordinated quite well with our Painted with Love Specialty Designer Paper that will be debuting in the 2018 Occasions Catalog on January 3rd. So this was my gift for the exchange.
I made one for me to keep, too!
Here are details for how I made these if you’d like to recreate this project. You’ll find a visual list of the Stampin’ Up!® supplies I used linked to my online store at the bottom. But keep in mind that some of these items will not be available until January 3rd. So when you click on the designer paper (for example), you won’t be allowed to order it yet.
Measurements:
Acetate Box: 4″ x 4-7/16″ x 5/8″ when open and assembled
Whisper White Thick Cardstock: 11″ x 3-3/4″ scored at 2-1/4″, 2-3/4″, 7-1/8″ and 7-5/8″
Whisper White Cardstock: 1-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ for one box and 5/8″ x 2-1/4″ for the other
Painted with Love Paper: 3-1/4″ x 4″
Gold Foil Sheet: a 4″ strip that has been punched the the Decorative Ribbon Punch
Love Mini Tinsel Trim: 18″ of each color
Tips/Directions:
Keep Acetate Box flat/unassembled and use a super strong trimmer to cut off 2″ from one end of the 6″ body length. Assemble box.
Use a Crop-o-dile (or similar tool) to punch holes on the top sides. Use a needle threading tool to thread the Tinsel Trim ends into the holes and tie. (I only looped the trim through itself once. It’s got such a rough surface that it holds onto itself pretty well. And this way the ends of the trim could hang down.)
Put Fast Fuse on the back upper edge of the designer paper and attach the punch gold paper so it is peeking out as shown. Then add more Fast Fuse to the back of the designer paper and attach to the surface of the Whisper White Cardstock between the score lines. Fold the Whisper White Cardstock on the score lines and insert into the now Acetate Box/Bag.
Stamp and trim the right end of the Whisper White banner piece. Add this with Fast Fuse while also adding one or two Gold Vinyl Stickers to the front of the box/bag.
Then add your gift! In the gift for the exchange, I included the gum and a sheet of Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes (also debuting in the 2018 Occasions Catalog that will release January 3rd). In the one I kept I just included the gummies.
Our Holiday Team Gathering was lots of fun! Most of my team events are online now because my group is so wide-spread across the US. But once in awhile my local team members enjoy a chance like this to get together and see each other. And those that couldn’t attend were able to watch our Facebook Live broadcast, have the make-n-take materials sent to them, and participate in the gift exchange.
Product Shares available for the New 2018 Occasions Catalog!
I’ve planned out my new product shares (ribbons, paper, embellishments, etc.) for the upcoming Occasions catalog that debuts January 3rd. I also have included FREE bonus Sale-A-Bration products in EVERY share. Click here for information & sign up opportunities. This really is THE BEST WAY to gather up lots of new product for less money. And the sooner your name gets on the list, the sooner you get guaranteed a spot in a share.
