I created my own fun-fold!!
I LOVE math! So I wanted to make a fun-fold card that showed off two 4×4 pieces of designer paper and also collapsed into a typical size card for mailing. This is what I came up with…
Don’t let it intimidate you. It might appear difficult. But if you have the tools, you can easily recreate it. Here is another version using different designer paper patterns. All patterns come from the same pack: Sweet Soirée Specialty Designer Series Paper.
I wanted to share this card with my Facebook friends, so I recorded this Facebook Live how-to video this past Wednesday and then uploaded it to my YouTube channel (since I know not everyone is ON Facebook). Be sure to watch the video, check out the measurements below so that you can recreate this amazing card, and then let me know if you have any questions. If you ARE on Facebook, I invite you to “like” then “follow” my page so you can get updates when I share and when I go live every Wednesday afternoon at 2 PM Central Time.
Here are the measurements you’ll need if you plan to recreate this fun-fold card.
- Rich Razzleberry cardstock:
- 11” x 4-1/4” scored at 2-3/4”, 4-1/4”, 7-1/4” and 8-1/2”
- Whisper White cardstock:
- 4” x 2-1/4” for the bottom layer
- 4” x 1-1/4” for the middle layer
- scrap for stamping and punching the tag on the top
- Sweet Soirée designer paper:
- 4” x 4” of busy pattern
- 4” x 4” of “calmer” pattern
- Pear Pizzazz ¼” Shimmer ribbon:
- About 6”
- Silver Baker’s Twine:
- About 6”
- Large Silver Metallic Foil Doily:
- 1/3 of a doily
- Small Silver Metallic Foil Doily:
- 1/3 of a doily
I’ll be sharing the Myths & Magic cards from the video on Monday or Tuesday, but you apply these same measurements if you are ready to recreate those cards already. 🙂
