The October 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit was fun to play with! I hope you enjoy what I have to share with you today. I made it all with the contents of this kit and a few extra supplies/products which I have listed below and linked to my online store.
Watch my video first to get measurements, directions, and tips for these projects…
- a telescoping card (made without using dies)
- 2 super simple cards using coordinating Merry Little Christmas designer paper
- and a 12×12 scrapbook page layout
- a “bagalope”
- and a bridge fold card
Then scroll down to see close-up photos and a list of extra supplies I used to make them.
Here are the cards to make according to the directions that come in the kit. I actually changed up Stampin’ Up!’s directions a little for assembling the shaker part of these cards and shared my tips in my video.
And here are the alternate projects I created and shared in my video.
TELESCOPING CARD
TWO SIMPLE CARDS
12X12 SCRAPBOOK PAGE LAYOUT
BAGALOPE
I added a couple pinecones embellishments (after I recorded the video) in my final design shown here. So I added Early Espresso and Soft Suede cardstock to the supply list below.
BRIDGE FOLD CARD

Super ideas! You are so creative! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Susan! 🙂
Rachel, these are amazing, beautiful projects! I almost want to make a scrapbook after seeing your pages. LOL. Thank you so much for the time you take to clearly explain how you put each project together. Now I understand the way to make a bridge card!
Yay! I’m so glad I ALMOST inspired you to get a scrapbook started. 😉 Hugs to you Kathy!
These are awesome – thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks so much Stacy. *Ü*
Those cards are amazing. Can’t wait to try both the telescoping and the bridge. Thank you for sharing your creativity. How do I become one of “Your” subscribers?
Thanks so much! There is an area in the right column when in the blog section of my website that says “Subscribe Via Email” – located under the images of the catalogs. If you enter your email address there and click the “subscribe me!” button underneath, you will be able to finish the process and receive emails each time I share new ideas/posts. Hope that helps. 🙂
Hi Rachel. I really like the bridge card that you made with this kit. I have saved your other bridge card directions for the landscape style bridge card, but not sure of the actual measurements for this taller style. If I didn’t already have a portrait style card that I was working from, what would be the measurements of the background layer, the card base and score lines for it as well as the bridge layer measurements? Thank you so much for your help with this card. Love all your projects and cards that you generously share with others. 🙂
Glad you like the card Linda. Thank you for your kind words. 🙂
About 30 minutes into the video at the top of the post, I share detailed directions and dimensions for this taller bridge card. It might we easier to watch that than for me to explain it all here. But the base dimensions for the card are as follows…
card base: 6-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 1″ and 2″ in from each side
bridge: 4-1/4″ x 2-1/4″
Hi Rachel, you answered all my questions and was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks so much for all your help! I look forward to the next new update you have coming in the next days. ?
Oh good! Glad I could help. I just shared the remaining projects I created with the kit…https://stampyourartout.com/2018/01/heartfelt-love-notes-january-2018-paper-pumpkin-kit-alternate-ideas.html
Hi again, Is my thinking right on this idea? I would have to use DSP paper as layers over a regular Cardstock card base as the DSP paper would not be heavy enough to use as a card base. Again, thank you! 🙂
For sure you will want to watch the video. I used the card bases that come in the kit.
I enjoy your videos so much. I am sometimes a little behind completely using all of my kits. LOL Thank you for having older blogs/videos available.
Jan Panning
Having a place to find them all helps me, too. Glad it helps you too. Hopefully you will catch up on your kits soon. Thanks for your comment and sweet words, Jan.
