I’ve been seeing others use their Cherry Cobbler and Real Red Blends Markers to color on their Magnolia Lane Designer Paper and turn their pretty white and pink spring flowers into poinsettias. I love the results!
It takes some time to color and blend all those flowers. So you may not want to make ALL your Christmas cards this way. ?But the idea is fun. And if you just use a small strip or portion of the designer paper in your card design as I did in the card I’m sharing today, it’s totally doable.
I used my designer paper strip for the inside ledge piece that helps my easel card to stay propped open.
And do you see that beautiful sentiment?! That stamp set and many more are on sale today during Stampin’ Up!’s 24-Hour Flash Sale. The sale ends at 11:50 PM Mountain Time. So click here to shop, then watch the recording of today’s Facebook Live broadcast to see if there are any stamp sets you may want to grab up AND to see me make this card from start to finish.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements…
Whisper White Cardstock
8-1/2” x 5-1/2” scored parallel to the short edge at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4”
4-1/4″ x 5″ for die-cutting sentiment frame
Mossy Meadow Cardstock
4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
1-1/2″ x 5-3/8″
Basic Black Cardstock
4″ x 5-1/4″
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
3″ x 3-1/4″
Magnolia Lane Designer Paper (or Magnolia Lane Designer Bulk Paper)
1-3/8” x 5-1/4″
Directions...
Color one flower at a time.
Start by coloring the entire flower with the Dark Real Red Blends Marker (avoid the yellow center).
Use the Dark Cherry Cobbler Blends Marker to add shadows in the base areas of the petals.
Use the Light Cherry Cobbler Blends Marker to blend the dark areas out towards the light. Use a circular motion to blend the shades of red together.
Die-cut the Frosted Frames die from the Whisper White 4-1/2″ x 5″ Whisper White scrap. Stamp sentiment.
Using SNAIL, layer the white sentiment piece onto the Cherry Cobbler piece, then onto the Basic Black piece, then onto the Mossy Meadow piece.
Fold the Whisper White card base in half. Then fold back at the 2-1/8″ score line creating a z-fold. Attach the layered sentiment section to this being sure to just add SNAIL Adhesive to the top back half only.
Add the colored designer paper strip to the Mossy Meadow strip using SNAIL. Then open up the card and add this to the inside bottom using Dimensionals. (Attaching this with Dimensionals creates a “stopper” for the easel.)
Color a Rhinestone Basic Jewel with the Dark Mossy Meadow Blends Marker and add it to the letter J in Joy.
If you love this pattern in the Magnolia Lane pack of designer paper,
you can instead invest in the bulk pack which includes 10 sheets of this double-sided pattern and 10 sheets of another. It is now available in the online store.
The bulk paper was available to only demonstrators until now. (Yay for everyone who wants to color and create some poinsettia Christmas cards!).

Yesterday I shared on my blog my Snowman Season Corner Twist Card that I showed how to make in this past week’s online paper crafting class on Facebook. Today I am sharing the details for another version of that card – the one that I showed at the end of that video, the Purple Posy one that I stamped with the New Wonders Host Stamp Set.
A corner twist card is sort of like a z-fold card. But because the score line on the front of the card base runs at a diagonal, the image attached rotates 45 degrees when the card opens. So you’ll want to keep that in mind if you make variations of this fun fold. (By the way, the corner twist card is a simplified version of the fun-fold card I made for the October 2019 Stampin’ Anonymous set of Tutorials. Be sure you purchase that 23-page set of tutorials or place an order this month through me to earn it for free. There are some awesome projects in it.)
Below are measurements, more photos, and a products list for this New Wonders card. (By the way, is she not the most adorable little fairy!?)
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements…
Purple Posy Cardstock
4-1/4” x 11” scored at 5-1/2” …then position vertically, mark 4-1/4” down from the top left corner and score from the point to the top right corner
Whisper White Thick Cardstock
3-1/4” x 3-1/4”
3-1/4” x 2-1/4”
Basic Black Cardstock
3-3/8” x 3-3/8”
3-3/8” x 2-3/8”
Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon
14″
Directions…
After scoring and folding Purple Posy Cardstock, emboss the inside with the Country Floral Embossing Folder. If you emboss past the 5-1/2″ score line, don’t worry too much. The ribbon tied around the front can conceal that.
Stamp images onto Whisper White Thick Cardstock pieces. The fairy will rotate 45 degrees when the card is opened, so keep that in mind when stamping it.
Color with Stampin’ Blends Markers.
Add Wink of Stella to her hair, wings, the paper area, and the hearts/stars in the sky.
With the Purple Posy Cardstock folded on both score lines, stamp “congratulations” in the upper right leaving room for the ribbon.
Tie on the ribbon.
Add the Whisper White Thick Cardstock pieces to the coordinating Basic Black pieces.
Attach the sentiment layer to the inside of the card first using Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Attach the fairy image layer to the front diagonal folded flap using Dimensionals. Be sure that you don’t add any adhesive under the bottom left corner half. Be sure that this layer conceals the sentiment layer underneath.
Fun right?! I’d love to see any of your variations of this card!

Last weekend at a demonstrator event put on by my upline Susan Campfield, my sister demonstrator Carol Rosengren shared a beautiful fun-fold card she made using the Magnolia Lane designer paper and the Good Morning Magnolia bundle.
As I watched her demonstrate, I realized that I may have never shared any shutter fold cards here on my blog before! Which surprised me since fun-folds are right up my alley. So I immediately started creating when I got home that day, and I came up with four other versions of her card.
One of them I shared from start to finish in my Wednesday, August 28th Online Paper Crafting Class on Facebook. I then uploaded the recorded version of my Facebook Live video to my YouTube channel (since I know not everyone is ON Facebook). Be sure to watch the video (you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog), scroll through the close-up photos, check out the products list at the bottom of my post, and then let me know if you have any questions.
I hope you enjoyed the cards I shared in this video. Below are the updated measurements. And further down are close-up photos of all the cards I shared.

Today I am sharing with you three coordinating cards that I made with the new Over the Moon Stamp Set.
The cow images and humorous sentiments in this set make this a “must have.”
For my “Holstein coat” background I used the two smallest splotch images from the Love What You Do Stamp Set! I saw many other cards out there on Pinterest using this clever idea, and I had to share.
Here are the measurements & directions if you wish to recreate one (or more) of these cards yourself. And below are additional close-up photos of each card.
Measurements for one card…
Whisper White Thick Cardstock
8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ and folded in half for the card base
Scrap for stamping and die-cutting cow (third largest oval die or second largest circle die)
Basic Black Cardstock
Scrap for die-cutting stitched shape (largest oval or largest circle)
2018-20 In Color Designer Paper
3″ x 5-1/2″
Daffodil Delight or Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
Scraps for punching or die-cutting accent shapes
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Directions for one card…
Stamp cow on scrap cardstock using Memento ink, then die-cut. Stamp grass with Call Me Clover ink if you wish. Color in image with Stampin’ Blends Markers.
Die-cut layering circle or oval, and adhere colored in cow layer on top.
Stamp splotches along the right side of the Whisper White card base.
Adhere designer paper layer to the left side of the card base. Then attach the layered cow circle or oval to the card using Dimensionals.
Die-cut the hearts OR punch two daisies or a set of moon and stars from colored scrap paper. Add to the card as shown using Glue Dots or Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then embellish with either the Heart Epoxy Droplets, the Gold Faceted Gems or Rhinestones.
Stamp sentiment on the inside. I didn’t take photos of the insides of my cards, but I used the sentiments:
Over the moooon for you!
You’re udderly fantastic!
Cow’s it going?
I mass produced these cards with the help of my friend (and assistant), Vicki Spicer. Then I sent them off to my club members to thank them for their orders last month.
Which one was your favorite?

NEW CLUB FORMING SOON! Do you find that you order at least $25 worth of Stampin’ Up! product each month? Do you want to get perks for those monthly orders? Here is a fun way to get colorful, shiny sparkle on your cards! Since this technique involves stamping on Window Sheets with StazOn Solvent-based ink, I recommend using red rubber stamps only (wood-mount, clear-mount, or cling-mount). StazOn is harsh on the totally clear, Photopolymer stamps. So avoid using those if you can. I also recommend using stamp images that coordinate with either punches or dies. But you can certainly get out your Paper Snips (scissors) and fussy cut your images.
Because some projects and cards are easier to explain with a video, I shared this card this past Wednesday during my Facebook Live Online Paper Crafting class. I then uploaded the recorded version of my Facebook Live video to my YouTube channel (since I know not everyone is ON Facebook). Be sure to watch the video (you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog), check out the products list below, scroll through the close-up photos, and then let me know if you have any questions.
As you can see it’s very easy to stamp and color window sheets (acetate) and then add a layer of glimmer paper to give it that sparkle. And you get such striking results! Here are the measurements for the card I demonstrated.
Measurements…
Whisper white Thick Cardstock
8-1/2” x 5-1/2” scored at 4-1/4” and folded in half
3-3/8” x 4-5/8”
Basic Black Cardstock
3-1/2” x 4-3/4”
Sparkle Glimmer Paper
Scrap for punching butterflies
Window Sheets
Scrap for stamping & punching butterflies
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store. Butterfly Wishes is not quite available yet, but will be starting June 4. I’ve also included the supplies I used to create the other two cards I made & shared at the end of the video. If you are interested in the yellow orchid card, you’ll want to get the Climbing Orchid stamp set and coordinating Orchid Builder dies now. They are retiring and will be unavailable after June 3.
Here is the card I demonstrated in the video. (I changed up the accents after recording: removed the pink flowers, added a clear one, and then added a couple rhinestones.)
But I still like this orange and blue one better. ?
Here is the 3rd card I made. With this one, no Blends Markers are needed.
And here is the card that I was inspired by. Update…Cathy Parise was the creator. Yay!! Thank you Cathy for emailing me after seeing the video. ?I LOVE your swap card!
It’s a busy time of year at our house:
school is ending (the last day of school is June 6th), so there are concerts and end of the year kids’ events
our house is filled with garage sale stuff (lots and lots of stamping/crafting stuff too) that we need to price and set up for our sale next week
a new Stampin’ Up! catalog is beginning, so I’m invoicing for product share and will be ordering, prepping and shipping them soon
grad parties, cousin’s events, summer haircuts, major changes in our yard/driveway right now…
and Papa is still struggling to restore is health (continued prayers please)
It seems like everything is happening at once. It’s a little hectic. In fact I’m missing out on my upline’s fun demonstrator event that she only holds 3 times a year. ?I cancelled a couple days ago and feel horrible, but I had to let something go.
Despite how crazy it’s been this week and WILL be for the next few weeks, we DID manage to go up north to my parents’ place and relax for Memorial Day weekend. We even brought our camper. It was the first time using it!
I think since we survived sleeping out there in 40 degree rainy weather, we are going to be able to get in a few more trips with it this summer. We just need to get them on the calendar! Here are a few more photos.
Grandma always makes it fun for the kids (even when she is fighting a bugger of a cold). Here are my boys (Nick and Luke) with cousin Robbie (on the left) and cousin Yvette (in the front) reading clues on a treasure hunt.
Here they are just hanging out watching Robbie make cool things with his paracord.
And of course breakfasts are best at the cabin! Little Yvette hung out with the boys as much as she could. And they were very good about giving her attention and playing with her.
Yvette’s little sister, Simone isn’t quite old enough to play yet. But she was very fun to hold and watch.
Oh, those cheeks!
And the best part!?…EVERYONE made it – the WHOLE family. (My husband and I are on the right next to my parents. Nick and Luke are kneeling in front of us.)
Thanks for stopping by today!

ANNUAL CATALOG NEWS Due to recent supplier issues (and other factors), Stampin’ Up! will no longer be carrying the current die-cutting machine and trimmer: The Big Shot and Stampin’ Trimmer are retiring. These changes are giving Stampin’ Up! the opportunity to research and explore replacement options. But there will be a gap when we do not have a trimmer or die-cutting machine available. You will not see these items in the upcoming 2019-20 Annual Catalog that debuts June 4, 2019. Click here for more information.
