Yesterday I shared how to turn that adorable Coffin Treat Box into a tombstone treat box. Well, did you know that you also can turn this box into a boat!? Yes!! Fun, right? With the help of the little duck image from the Birds of a Feather Stamp Set, I came up with a way to make a super cute pirate’s boat from that coffin.
I demonstrated creating this project from start to finish in my Wednesday, September 11th Online Paper Crafting Class on Facebook. I then uploaded the recorded version of my Facebook Live video to my YouTube channel (since I know not everyone is ON Facebook). Be sure to watch the video (you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog), scroll through the close-up photos, check out the products lists below the photos, and then let me know if you have any questions.
Amazing what you can do when you just start playing around with products. Here are the corrected measurements and a few close-up photos. Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements to start the boat…
- Whisper White Thick Cardstock
- Scrap for stamping and cutting out pirate
- Scrap for tearing sail to about 3” x 4”
- Basic Black Cardstock
- 2” x 7” – cut down the middle between 1” and 4”, scored down the middle, scored at the bottom in the other direction at 3/4”, then angle cut into a tall triangle
- Coffin Box (lid)
- Cut 2-1/4” from the wide section, then score this section down the middle
