I’m excited to be participating in the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop today! ?
The theme for this month’s hop is fun/fancy folds. How fun!
So I decided to share another arrow fold card that I created with the Garden Lane Designer Paper and punched out butterflies from the Butterfly Wishes Stamp Set. I demonstrated how to make an arrow fold card with the Magnolia Suite of products on May 15th in my Facebook Live broadcast and then posted the recorded video…
This is a pretty easy fun fold to make. Here are the details if you would like to give it a try.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store. Because I’m featuring items that will debut on June 4 in the 2019-20 Annual Catalog, a few of the links will not work until then.
Measurements…
Whisper White Cardstock
8-1/2” x 5-1/2” scored at 4-1/4” and folded in half
Scrap for stamping and punching butterflies
Basic Black Cardstock
5” x 4”
Garden Lane Designer Paper
4-1/2” x 3-3/4”
Directions…
Mark the bottom front of the folded horizontal Whisper White card base at 2-3/4″. Mark each of the sides of the front of the card at 2-1/8″.
Connect the 2-3/4″ mark to each of the 2-1/8″ marks with score lines. Connect the 2-3/4″ mark to each of the upper corners with score lines.
Fold the outer score lines forward. Then fold the inner score lines backward to create the arrow. Use a Bone Folder to make the crease lines crisp. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the folded over sections of the arrow in place.
I encourage you to watch the video to catch all the tips and directions for making an arrow fold card.
Mark the bottom of the Basic Black Cardstock in the middle at 2-1/2″. Then follow the directions in the video for cutting from this point diagonally to each of the top corners to make three triangular pieces. Adhere these to the front sections of the card.
Mark the bottom of the Garden Lane Designer Paper in the middle at 2-1/4″. Cut from this point diagonally to each of the top corners to make three triangular pieces. Adhere these to the black sections of the card.
Color the stamped and punched butterflies with the Stampin’ Blends Markers. Add them to the card using Glue Dots.
Stamp the sentiment on the inside of the card.
Add the rhinestones.
You could even add a rhinestone in your sentiment if you wish.
I hope you have time to visit the other blogs in the hop to see more fun/fancy folds! Click on the “next blog” button below. This will take you to Annette’s website.
Have fun! And thanks for stopping by.

ANNUAL CATALOG NEWS Due to recent supplier issues (and other factors), Stampin’ Up! will no longer be carrying the current die-cutting machine and trimmer: The Big Shot and Stampin’ Trimmer are retiring. These changes are giving Stampin’ Up! the opportunity to research and explore replacement options. But there will be a gap when we do not have a trimmer or die-cutting machine available. You will not see these items in the upcoming 2019-20 Annual Catalog that debuts June 4, 2019. Click here for more information.
I’ve been playing with upcoming new products again. And I learned a new fun fold – the arrow fold card! It’s a classy looking card that’s easy to put together with just a few angle folds and cuts. This fold was introduced to me by fellow demonstrator, Verla Carpenter who shared this how-to video by Samantha Clayton at Mixed Up Crafts. I altered Samantha’s measurements to work with a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ card base size so the card would fit into one of Stampin’ Up!’s medium envelopes.
Because some projects and cards are easier to explain with a video, I shared this card this past Wednesday during my Facebook Live Online Paper Crafting class. I then uploaded the recorded version of my Facebook Live video to my YouTube channel (since I know not everyone is ON Facebook). Be sure to watch the video (you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog), check out the products list below, scroll through the close-up photos, and then let me know if you have any questions.
As I mentioned in the video, the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set, the Magnolia Memory Dies, and the Magnolia Lane Designer Paper are only available to current demonstrators or those getting the Starter Kit right now. (Click here if you want to purchase them in a Starter Kit.) Then on June 4, 2019, they will debut in the 2019-20 Annual Catalog. Yay!
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store. Again a few of the products are not available quite yet. Those links will not work until June 4.

5” x 4”
Mark the bottom of the designer paper at 2-1/2″. Then follow the directions in the video for cutting from this point diagonally to the top corners to make your three triangular pieces.

Not only are they unique, but they don’t put any extra pressure on the binding since they bookmark the page on the outside corner of the page rather than on the inside.
Today I’d love to share with you a few that I made with the Floral Romance Vellum and one with the All My Love Designer Paper. Two of them feature that adorable bunny image from the Fable Friends stamp set. And all of them are mad using the same measurements and pattern.
Rather than writing out all the details & directions for this project, I shared that information in this Facebook Live broadcast. Then I uploaded the recorded version of this video to my YouTube channel (since I know not everyone is ON Facebook). Be sure to watch the video (you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog), check out the measurements and products list below (for the bookmark I demonstrated), scroll through the close-up photos of all four versions, and then let me know if you have any questions.
I hope you enjoyed this video! Here are the measurements you’ll need if you plan to recreate the bookmark I demonstrated in the video.
Measurements (makes two)…
Whisper White Cardstock
3-1/8” x 4-1/4”” positioned horizontally and scored at ½” from the left and ½” from the right
Fresh Fig Cardstock
Two pieces that are 4-3/4” x ¾”
Floral Romance Designer Paper (colorful vellum)
3” x 3”
Fresh Fig 1/8” Ribbon
Two pieces that are 2-1/2”
3×3 Envelopes (two)
Products I used… See below for a list of products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Here are close-up photos of the bunny bookmark I demonstrated and the others I shared in the video.
This sweet bunny could be paired with other papers, too. This paper is from the All My Love pack of designer paper.
Giving a bunny bookmark this Easter with a book would make a sweet (but cavity-free) gift.
I hope you enjoyed what I had to share today!

#APaperPumpkinThing
Yippee! Today is a blog hop day with Paper Pumpkin kit ideas! See what I have to share. Then check out all the other blogs in the hop to see additional creative alternate paper crafting project ideas that we each came up with using the contents of the February 2019 “Grown With Kindess” Paper Pumpkin kit. To follow the hop and see other creative project ideas, simply scroll down and click on the names of other hop participants.
Here is a photo of the intended project from this month’s kit – 9 cards: 3 each of 3 designs.
I hope to share more ideas in a few days, but TODAY I have a beautiful home décor piece and two fun-fold cards to share.
The hardest part about making this first project is just cutting into the beautiful photo art images. LOL – only emotionally. In other words… though it looks impressive, it is super simple to make.
If you wish to recreate the home décor piece with your kit contents, follow the measurements and tips below.
Measurements of extra products:
Basic Black Cardstock:
8″ x 8″
Fresh Fig Cardstock:
3-1/8″ x 5-1/8″
3-1/8″ x 1-7/8″
3-7/8″ x 2-1/8″
3-7/8″ x 4-7/8″
2-1/4″ Circle
Whisper White Cardstock:
2″ Circle
Measurements of kit products:
Photo image pieces:
3″ x 5″ (upper left)
3″ x 1-3/4″ (upper right)
3-3/4″ x 2″ (lower left)
3-3/4″ x 4-3/4″ (lower right)
White Twine:
11″
Extra Stampin’ Up! Products I Used: See below for a full list of extra supplies linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Tips:
Trim photo image pieces, adhere to corresponding Fresh Fig pieces, then adhere to 8″ x 8″ Basic Black.
Stamp sentiment onto Whisper White circle and add to Fresh Fig circle using Dimensionals. Adhere.
Then just add a bow (attaching with a rolled up Glue Dot) and a few accents.
These cards are a little more difficult to make in that they require coloring and cutting. But if you like to do that, you’ll have no problems recreating either one of these. Here is what the first card looks like on the outside.
And here is what it looks like open.
If you wish to recreate this card with your kit contents, follow the measurements and tips below.
Measurements of extra products
Whisper White Cardstock:
Scrap to stamp, color in, and cut out the succulent in a cup
Measurements of kit products:
Card bases (two of black or two of white):
Cut one in half to get a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece
Cut the other in half the other way to get a 2-3/4″ x 8-1/2″ piece
Succulent photo image piece:
Two strips that are just under 1-1/4″ x 3-3/4″
Twine”
26″
Extra Stampin’ Up! Products I Used: See below for a full list of extra supplies linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Tips:
Adhere photo image pieces to the top and bottom portions of the 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ card base piece (about 1/4″ from the outside edges).
Adhere other card base piece (folded shut) across the center.
Stamp sentiment image/s on the inside (optional).
Wrap twine around three times, and tie in a bow.
Stamp succulent in cup image onto Whisper White scrap, color in with Stampin’ Blends markers of your choice (see suggested colors in the product list below).
Cut it out with a Paper Snips and attach to the front of the strip fold portion using Dimensionals.
Here are photos of the white card base version. I’d love to know which one draws your attention more – the black card or the white?
