The June 2018 Broadway Star Paper Pumpkin kit…#stampyourartout #stampinup - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

I love that there is a whole suite of products in the 2018-19 Annual Catalog that was made to coordinate with this month’s kit. So I decided to create a gift bag and matching tag. I used the coordinating Broadway Bound designer paper, a couple other products from this coordinating suite, and pieces that would be left over if a person made all the cards in this Paper Pumpkin kit as is. A special thanks to Samantha Clayton at Mixed Up Craft for the inspiration for my bag.

First watch my how-to video, then scroll down to see the scoring & cutting measurements patterns, close-up photos, special links, and a list of products/supplies linked to where you can find them in my online store.

This is a project that was easier to explain in a video, but hopefully these images below with measurements are helpful to any of you wanting to print something off.

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop – Manly Moments

It's a Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop… #stampyourartout - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

This month’s kit is very handsome and masculine. Click here to see the May kit video put out by Stampin’ Up! where you can view how to make these cards and envelopes as intended.

I decided to put a delicate, feminine twist on this kit and show you the anniversary card and matching gable gift box I created for the Facebook section of the Stampin’ Up! monthly subscriber newsletter. And then I made a mini photo album from the envelopes to complete the project set.

Measurements/Tips/Directions:

  • Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon:
    • 20″ for the card
    • 18″ for the album
  • Mossy Meadow Cardstock:
    • 2 pieces that are 3-1/2″ x 3″
    • 2 pieces that are 2″ x 3″
  • envelope insert pieces (cut from card bases from the kit):
    • 3 pieces that are 4-1/8″ x 5-1/2″

Products: See below for a full list of extra supplies I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.

Attach the badge piece to the outside of one of the envelope flaps. Then emboss this, the front of the card, another badge, and the front of the unassembled, flattened gable box.

For the mini album…Connect all the envelopes together so the main envelope ends up on the end. Then attach the separate embossed badge to the inside flap of the main envelope so it’s directly on the backside of the other badge.

Stamp the banners. Attach one over the main outside badge per directions in the kit – with dimensionals. Attach the other three on the inserts as shown – the left end of each wrapped to the back. Put glue dots under the left ends of the banner fronts. Then fold the creases of the right ends.

Attach the Mossy Meadow photo mats with SNAIL Adhesive.

Add all the sequins using the Fine Tip Glue. And allow to dry.

Today I have put together a fun 12×12 scrapbook page and a coordinating candy bar wrap to share with you. See below for a full list of extra supplies I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.

Measurements/Tips/Directions for the 12×12 page:

  • Island Indigo Cardstock: 3″ x 5-5/8″, 3-5/8″ x 5-5/8″, 2-5/8″ x 4-1/8″, 3-1/8″ x 2-5/8″ (2 pieces), 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
  • Pool Party Cardstock: 2-7/8″ x 5-1/2″, 3-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, 2-1/2″ x 4″, 3″ x 2-1/2″ (2 pieces), 4″ x 5-1/4″

Mask the sentiment stamps with tape to ink them, then remove the mask before stamping. Use Fine Tip Glue to adhere the sequins. Add the layered photo mats to the page first. See what I have to share, then check out all the other demonstrators’ blogs in the hop for additional creative ideas, tips and techniques while we show you the fun features of this fantastic tool. To follow the hop, simply scroll down and click the “next” button or click on the names of other participants in the hop.

One of my favorite features of the Stamparatus is the ability to quicken the task of producing several die-cut images. For an event this summer I need several of these little mason jar treat holders.

The Stamparatus is a wonderful new tool that saves you time when needing to make several of the same stamped and die-cut images. Click here to learn more and to follow along in the Stamparatus Blog Hop for more fabulous Stamparatus tips and ideas from demonstrators around the world…stampyourartout #stampinup - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

So I used the Stamparatus to produce about 30 of them in very little time.

Watch this quick video to see how creating a template to stamp “blanks” saves time and cardstock. The mason jars are stamped on both sides, too! I’ll show you the trick.

Here is a bit more information if you wish recreate these treat containers.

Measurements for the mason jar treat container:

  • Whisper White cardstock:
    • 2 scraps for the die-cut/stamped jars
  • Glossy White cardstock:
    • 3-1/2” x 3” scored 1″ in on all four sides
  • Lemon Lime Twist cardstock:
    • 5/8″ x 1-3/4″
  • 1/8″ Sheer ribbon:
    • about 14″
  • Lemon Lime Twist Ombre ribbon:
    • 1-3/4″

Products:  See below for a full list of supplies linked to where you can find them in my online store.

Tips/Directions for the base of the treat container:

  • Hold your 3″ x 3-1/2″ cardstock vertically (glossy side down). Cut on the upper two and lower two vertical score lines to where the horizontal score lines intersect.

The Stamparatus is a wonderful new tool that saves you time when needing to make several of the same stamped and die-cut images. • Angle cut a bit of each of the outer four tabs as shown. And fold along all the score lines toward the glossy side.
  • Next add Sticky Strip adhesive on these four outer tabs so each piece is close to the outer edge of it’s tab. (Placing it further in may not make the base as strong.)

  • Connect the outer tabs to the middle tabs to form the base. The glossy side will be on the inside. The coated surface of the paper will add some protection if the chocolates inside melt a bit.

Then just attach a double-sided jar on the front and a double-sided jar on the back, tie the ribbon on, and add your tag. Here are about 30 that I cranked out in no time. Oh!…The way I tied on my ribbon was a little time consuming. You may want to go with knots instead of bows. 😉

I’ll be using the Stamparatus for my multiple invites, too. These die-cut flowers can be mass produced in the same way! (Be sure to follow the hop for tips on using stamps with multi-step stamp images.)

I’m the Guest! – Crazy Crafters Blog Hop

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Rachel Tessman…#stampyourartout - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

I am very honored once again to be the special guest for the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop! Each person participating in this hop found a project from my blog and used it for inspiration to create something of their own. In the paper crafters’ world we call this CASEing. In this hop CASE stands for “Copy And Selectively Edit.” Although you may have also heard it defined as “Copy And Share Everything/Everywhere.” I am also participating by CASEing a couple of my own past projects!

I wanted to show a couple fun ideas that could be created with our soon-to-be-retiring Tutti Frutti 6″ x 6″ Designer Paper. I first decided to CASE these cards that were featured in my February 21, 2017 post,…

I CASEd these cards and made some super “sweet” cards with the Fruit Basket stamp set, Tutti Frutti designer paper and the Metallic Foil Doilies – all retiring soon. Click here for more information…#stampyourartout - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

…because I really think the designer paper patterns in this pack are fun and can take over a whole card.

I really wanted to make the sentiment piece pop, so I added Mini Dimensionals under the Whisper White circle and under the fruit. And because I cut my paper from a 6″ x 6″ piece, I had a 1-3/4″ wide strip left. So I added that to the inside of the card.

Super “sweet” cards created with the Fruit Basket stamp set, Tutti Frutti designer paper and the Metallic Foil Doilies – all retiring soon. Click here for more information…#stampyourartout - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

Measurements…

  • Whisper White Thick cardstock:
    • 11” x 4-1/4” scored and folded in half at 5-1/2” and a scraps for stamping and punching out the sentiment piece and the fruit.
  • Designer Paper:
    • 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ for the outside 1-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ for the inside.

Products:  See below for a full list of supplies linked to where you can find them in my online store.

Tips/Directions:

  • Attach the designer paper to the card front.
  • Stamp the sentiment image/s on the Whisper White scrap. (I “stamped off” to get lighter shades of ink for my fruit. Some call this “second generation” stamping.)
  • Punch the sentiment image with the 2-1/4″ Circle Punch.
  • Stamp the extra fruit. Punch the extra fruit with the coordinating punch from the Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack. (The stamp images are larger than what will punch. This is so that you will have no white edges on your punched out pieces.)
  • Adhere the extra fruit with a Mini Dimensional. Adhere the Whisper White circle to the Metallic Foil Doily using Dimensionals. Then attach this to the front of the card along the right edge, and trim the excess doily away.
  • Attach the designer paper to the inside. And stamp any additional sentiments or images inside.

Here are three other cards.

Come see what I share on my blog… #stampyourartout - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

6″ x 6″ Designer Paper is perfect for making origami pouches, too. For my second project idea I’m CASEing the pouches that were featured in my May 11, 2017 post. (The directions for the fold can be found there.)

I CASEd these pouches and made some super “sweet” candy holders with the Fruit Basket stamp set, Tutti Frutti designer paper and the Metallic Foil Doilies – all retiring soon. Click here for more information…#stampyourartout - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

These are much simpler to make than they look. And what a great way to share a fun treat.

    • scrap for stamping and punching out the sentiment piece.
  • Coordinating colored cardstock:
    • scrap for punching out the layer under the sentiment piece.
  • Designer Paper:
    • 6″ x 6″

A big thank you to Kylie and all the demonstrators that CASEd me in this hop! I am looking forward to seeing which projects of mine inspired all of them AND what they created. Be sure to visit each of these blogs by clicking on the names below. Have fun and let me know what you think!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop – May Good Things Grow

It's a Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop… #stampyourartout - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

Yay! It’s time again to see lots of alternate Paper Pumpkin kit ideas!
#APaperPumpkinThing
Today is the day where a creative team of us Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators bring to you our special “A Paper Pumpkin Thing” blog hop. See what I have to share, then check out all the other blogs in the hop to see additional creative alternate paper crafting project ideas that we each came up with using the contents of the March 2018 “May Good Things Grow” Paper Pumpkin kit. To follow the hop, simply scroll down to click the “next” button or click on the names of other participants in the hop.

This month’s kit is very beautiful and has a vintage flair! Click here to see the March kit video put out by Stampin’ Up! where you can view how to make these floral cards and envelopes as intended.

Click here to watch a how-to video and see fun alternate project ideas I created with the March 2018 May Good Things Grow Paper Pumpkin kit: How to get 28 cards from the kit contents, a fun flower seed container, and a 12x12 scrapbook page (2 versions)...#stampyourartout #stampinup - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

I’ve already shared several of my creations in a couple past posts using the contents of this kit. So I invite you to check out those creations as well:

But today I have a couple fun-fold card ideas for those of you who like to give cards that “wow.”

This first card is a Vertical Stretch fun-fold card. I shared how to make this style card on Facebook and posted the video and photos on March 17th. The card folds shut to a typical 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ size.

Click here to see fun alternate project ideas created with the March 2018 May Good Things Grow Paper Pumpkin kit in A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop! I shared two fun-fold cards. Enjoy!...#stampyourartout #stampinup - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

But when it opens it stretches to 4-1/4″ x 11″ and shows off two pieces of 4″ x 4″ designer paper – or in this case two pieces of 4″ x 4″ papers from the envelopes. (The scores on the Early Espresso card base are at 2-3/4″, 4-1/4″, 7-1/4″ and 8-1/2.”)

This is how the folds look from a side view.

And if you didn’t notice, the second 4″ x 4″ piece isn’t all one piece. I wanted the entire frame design from the envelope paper, so I trimmed the top two inches and the bottom two inches and discarded the middle section.

To get the “doily” embellishment, I attached a section from the fancy label so it peeked out from the bottom of the rose paper layer. I also added brads to the bottom two corners of the frame paper layer and the top two corners of the rose paper layer. Notice how I pressed down the prongs? Angling them to an “L” shape when flattening them in the back will keep them from showing from the front.

This second card is a Pop Open fun-fold card. It’s free-standing!

I created it by opening up on envelope, positioning it in the trimmer as shown, and trimming the solid colored area 3 inches from the bottom edge.

Then I removed those top sections.

Next I folded the larger side flap over and scored through the middle of this 4-inch wide card.

I attached the shorter side flap to the larger. The envelope is now inside out from where it first started. Then I trimmed off the bottom flap and made sure it stood up sturdy.

I cut two 1-inch wide slits through the middle 1-1/2″ inches down from the top and 2″ down from the top. I then placed four more score lines (all 1/4″ apart) in this section to create a pop out tab.

I added a Dimensional to the middle to keep the middle crease from folding and to allow the label piece a little more of a lift.

And then I just embellished with with a couple Gold Mini Tassels and die-cuts from the kit.
