Welcome to our monthly APPT blog hop to showcase our September 2024 Autumn Abundance Paper Pumpkin kit alternate projects! See what I have to share. Then check out all the other blogs in the hop for additional creative ideas that my fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator friends shared.*
For those of you not familiar with these kits, they get delivered straight to your mailbox in the months of your choice. Inside are all the supplies you need AND the directions for assembling the kit cards/projects designed. Here are the intended cards designed for this September 2024 kit. (Click here for Stampin’ Up!’s how-to video to help you assemble these as intended.)

I’ve already shared some other alternate projects using the contents of this kit on September 21st.
- Four unique alternate card ideas including
- a z-fold thinking of you card
- a fall leaves matchbook fold card
- a fall leaf pocket card
- and a snail and mushroom pocket card
- AND… a thankful 12×12 scrapbook page layout
Today I am sharing…
- A wine bottle tag
- A card with a removable corner bookmark
- A layered wreath card
- AND… three Halloween wrapped treats
Products I used… See below for a complete list of extra products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.
The wine bottle tag is something that instantly came to mind when I saw the kit card base with the cut out circle in the center. This is the end that goes over the top of the bottle. I cut 2″ off the opposite side with my Trimmer and then reconnected them with the Cajun Craze square piece to not only make the tag longer & more rectangular, but to create a dark solid center for the sentiment focal point.

The sentiment is added with Dimensionals. I tucked in ephemera leaves from the kit, added with a Glue Dot a bow of Night of Navy & Gold Glittered Ribbon (9″ cut along the outside edges to get two long thin strands), and embellished with a couple Copper Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

This next idea was inspired by a card I received from friend and fellow demonstrator, Candace Johnson. She sent me a card this summer with a removable corner bookmark. And here is my version I made with this kit.

On the inside you can see the slit. I wrote lightly in pencil to show what the slit was holding. I wanted the tree slice image on both the outside and inside of the card. So I cut 3-1/2″ off the one side, cut that down to 4-3/4″ high, adhered it to the middle of a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Early Espresso cardstock after adding the copper heat embossed sentiment, and then wrapped that extra 3/4″ from the full card around to the back side of the Early Espresso layer to connect and form the full card. I added the slit for the bookmark 3″ down from the top and 1/2″ in from each side.

I made the bookmark from a 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ corner that I cut from the kit envelope with the Cajun Craze lining. From that same lining, I cut a 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ square and adhered that to the front. After stamping the branch image, I added on the leaf ephemera (using Multipurpose Liquid Glue) and the sequins.

My next idea is a card with a wreath. I discovered that putting two of those semi-circle ephemera together made a pretty wreath. To make it prettier, I simply added the leaves, the Cajun Craze strip and a sentiment

This image below just shows how I got the Pecan Pie layer, the Cajun Craze torn edge, and (both flipped over) the inside rectangular layer and leaf patterned curved accent on the bottom front.

Many who may be missing Halloween treat ideas from this year’s kit might appreciate these next three ideas…all candy wraps. The first one is super simple. I took half of the leaf card base and wrapped it around a pack of Sweet Tarts Ropes candy that I had first made super narrow and short by taping the sides and ends in. I secured the wrapped card base by stapling it shut. Then I added the stamped sentiment circle with Dimensionals.

This second one is my favorite. I first cut open the Night of Navy lined envelope and tore it as shown to create a fun edge. I cut out an Early Espresso “Hooray” using the die from the Every Celebration Dies set.

Then I cut the “Hooray” into these pieces…

…and positioned the pieces differently to form the word “boo.”

Here is the end result wrapped around a Hersey bar. The mouth on the ghost is from the H in the die-cut Hooray.

Here is the third wrapped treat idea. For this one I used the smaller envelope lining and wrapped it around a Kit-Kat bar. I added triangular white cardstock from the kit scraps and added them to the ends of the blue leaves to make them look like monster fingers (with fingernails) wrapping around from the back side of the bar. Spooky, right!? Hahaha! I’m thinking a couple eyes peeking over the top of the corner would make it more fun, but I ran out of time and had to get this all posted in time for the blog hop.

OH! Here is an image of the back sides of these last four projects.

I hope I inspired your creativity with what I shared today! If you did not get this kit, I hope you can apply these ideas to products you already own.
