But I never assemble my kits as is, because I like to show kit recipients other ways to use their supplies. I like to think outside the box, see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards, scrapbook pages, and more. So today I’m sharing with you several ideas for altering or repurposing the stocking AND four cards that I made with the tag pieces.

Summer is my favorite season. And I’m sad to see the warm weather going away. So with my mind on the activities of a hot August afternoon at the lake, I put together a dragonfly birthday card using summer colors and images.
Then I made multiples of this card to send to those in my Stampers With ART group with September and October birthdays. I tend to make fall cards for Autumn birthdays. But I don’t think anyone will mind getting a little glimmering dragonfly card this year instead.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating this card with the Happiest Day Stamp Set, the So Swirly 3D Embossing Folder, inks with Blending Brushes and Daubers, the Modern Oval Punch, Festive Glimmer Paper, Stampin’ Blends Markers, Wink of Stella, and other coordinating products from Stampin’ Up!®. Do you ever do that…order just the stamp set (or just the dies) thinking you had ordered them both in the bundle? That’s what I did with the new Online Exclusive, Sophisticated Sled. Because it was so similar to the these outside-in fun fold cards that I shared back in January, I extended the name to “Diamond Outside-In” cards. But this fun fold card has also been called the Diamond Fold Card or the Diamond Flip Fold Card.

I have several of their organizers in my craft space. In this photo below I’m using their 6×6 Paper Holders to hold and organize my pre-cut cards and envelope packs. You can see I also have their 12×12 paper holders in my IKEA unit.
I have painted many of my units. If you are planning to do so, be sure to use spray paint to seal the wood. A couple light coats of this will act as a primer. Then apply your final color if you want to use a latex paint to match decor. Lightly sanding between coats is really helpful too! (Do not remove any dividers when painting product. The added paint will make it difficult to slide the dividers back in place.)

Happy Valentine’s Day! Today’s card (fitting for the holiday but great for other occasions, too) introduces you to a few products in the Flowering Fields Suite. Pretty designer paper, beautiful stamp images, a balanced composition/layout, striking color combinations, and amazing details… This simple to make card has it all with very little effort.

Measurements
Blackberry Bliss Cardstock
4-1/4” x 11″ scored parallel to short side at 5-1/2”
Flowering Fields Designer Paper
2” x 4”
Basic White Cardstock
2-1/8” x 4-1/8”
2-7/8″ x 4-1/8″ on the inside
Scrap for punching scalloped heart sentiment layer
Fresh Freesia Cardstock
Scrap for stamping & punching heart sentiment layer
Directions
Stamp the sentiment, then punch it out.
Layer this onto the punched scalloped heart.
Layer the designer paper onto the thinner white piece.
Add the inside white layer, add the designer paper/white piece to the outside so it’s off to the left about 3/4″ from the edge. Add the layered heart with Dimensionals.
Then finish by adding 4 butterflies.
