I just reorganized my crafting area with a few new Stamp-n-Storage units, and I’m excited to share now that they are painted and displaying some of the new Stampin’ Up! products from the 2018-19 Annual Catalog!
I definitely wanted to change out/update the units for my markers, reinkers and pads. I realize I could’ve just added spacers in my combo unit, but I absolutely fell in love with the Stampin’ Ink Pad Holder for Color Families. (I hope it sticks around longer. Right now it’s a “limited edition.”) When it’s paired with the Side-by-Side Marker Holder, it’s just gorgeous showing off the 10 upright reinkers for each color family above each column. And it aligns so nicely with the corresponding markers adjacent to each row! I love this look so much!! I think it’s a cleaner and more colorful look.
I also had a new Stampin’ Blends Marker holder to work into my reorganization. My first punch holder was too big (I don’t hang onto retired punches), so I went down to the standard size. And I needed a slightly larger place for my odd size ink pads (Memento, StazOn, VersaMark) and some of my older style ink pads with the updated firm foam pad for classes and events where I might need two of the same ink pad color. I changed out my Standard 36 to the one that holds 48. These are the units I now have:

I’m in Hartford, CT!…arrived yesterday afternoon with my friend, Mary. And we are super excited for the Stampin’ Up! OnStage event that kicks off tonight for a few of us and carries on into tomorrow for everyone. Guess what!?!?! We get to see, touch and smell the new 2018-19 Annual Catalog!! (Can you tell I’m excited?)
Here is a photo of Mary and I yesterday evening in front of the Dunkin’ Donuts Park (a baseball stadium) before having a fabulous dinner at the Trumbull Kitchen.
The weather is brisk here just as it is back home in Minnesota, but I have Spring on my mind with all the new products we’ll get to see soon.
So today I am super happy to share how to make this super pretty dragonfly closure card using the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits, the Better Together Stamp Set, and the Petal Garden Designer Paper.
I wanted to share this card with my Facebook friends too, so I recorded this Facebook Live how-to video this past Wednesday and then uploaded it to my YouTube channel (since I know not everyone is ON Facebook). Be sure to watch the video, check out the measurements below so that you can recreate this amazing card, and then let me know if you have any questions. If you ARE on Facebook, I invite you to “like” then “follow” my page so you can get updates when I share and when I go live every Wednesday afternoon at 2 PM Central Time.
Here are the measurements you’ll need if you plan to recreate this pretty card.

Stampin’ Up! is releasing a new line of alcohol-based markers!! I’m so super excited, so I pre-purchased ALL of them. hahaha! I couldn’t resist.
I’ve had them for a little over a week and LOVE them! I still need some practice, but here is a comparison of two pumpkin images. The left one is colored in with Stampin’ Write water-based markers. You can see lines & streaks. The right one is colored in with the new Blends and produce a much softer, smooth look.
I still need to paint it white so it blends in with all my other holders. But it fits perfectly in my craft room and coordinates so well with all of my other Stamp-n-Storage holders. I’m a happy gal!
Stampin’ Blends are available for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators to pre-order now through October 15th. The release to everyone else will be in the near future (before 2017 ends), but the date hasn’t been determined yet. Stamp-n-Storage 4th of July Sale
If you are new to my blog, then you may not know about my crafting space. It took a LOT of planning and work (and some money, too – lol) to get my dream room. But it was so worth it! Whenever I am in it, I am happy. And that good feeling allows me to feel the MOST creative.
Think about it…if you hate your space (or even dislike it), you go into it with a less than positive attitude. And when you have any negativity, it takes effort to block that when creating. Blah! That's how I used to feel. I'd even pull out my supplies and create in my kitchen just to avoid the aura of my yucky room. My crafting space was never used. Things piled up because I didn't even want to be in it.
I'm not saying you have to totally revamp everything to have a happy space. But sometimes a little organization is all you need.
For example: have a place for your ink pads so they aren't closed away in a plastic tote that you have to keep pulling out and weeding through to find that ONE color. In this photo below, you can see my ink pad, marker and ink refill organizer on the shelf behind my cards.
It's from a company that I adore…Stamp-n-Storage! And starting today they are having a sale on their ink pad storage systems. There are many to choose from. I love that when I need a color, all I have to do is look up and grab it. Storing my ink pads this way keeps my room attractive even though my inks are right out in the open.
Purchase any Ink Pad Storage system now through July 5th and get 15% off! Click here to view the choices. Discounts will be applied automatically during the checkout process.
Thanks for checking out what I had to share today. Be sure to stop back tomorrow for my monthly Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop. Yippee!! I can't wait to show you what I've created with my June kit! Never tried Paper Pumpkin kits? Then you’ll want to visit tomorrow to get the details on Paper Pumpkin’s surprise deal for new subscribers. This offer will come and go in a flash, so don’t miss it!
In the spirit of full disclosure, I am an affiliate with Stamp-n-Storage which means I may get commissions if you click on links I provide and decide to purchase anything from this company. I love their products and recommend them because I own several myself and believe my readers will benefit from them.
