Happy Valentine’s Day! Today’s card (fitting for the holiday but great for other occasions, too) introduces you to a few products in the Flowering Fields Suite. Pretty designer paper, beautiful stamp images, a balanced composition/layout, striking color combinations, and amazing details… This simple to make card has it all with very little effort.

Measurements
Blackberry Bliss Cardstock
4-1/4” x 11″ scored parallel to short side at 5-1/2”
Flowering Fields Designer Paper
2” x 4”
Basic White Cardstock
2-1/8” x 4-1/8”
2-7/8″ x 4-1/8″ on the inside
Scrap for punching scalloped heart sentiment layer
Fresh Freesia Cardstock
Scrap for stamping & punching heart sentiment layer
Directions
Stamp the sentiment, then punch it out.
Layer this onto the punched scalloped heart.
Layer the designer paper onto the thinner white piece.
Add the inside white layer, add the designer paper/white piece to the outside so it’s off to the left about 3/4″ from the edge. Add the layered heart with Dimensionals.
Then finish by adding 4 butterflies.

Do you recall the Poinsettia Diagonal Joy Fold Card I shared on November 17th? Click here for that card (its measurements, photos, and supplies) & the how-to video with directions and tips for making it. In that video I give a peek at a purple version of that card using the Sweet Talk Suite of products which wasn’t available for all to purchase at that time.
We are now over a couple weeks into the release of the new Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalog products and just under a month away from Valentine’s Day. So in today’s post I thought I’d share how to make a couple Sweet Talk versions of that poinsettia fun fold card. Below you will find photos, measurements and more to help you recreate if you wish. Be sure to also scroll down to see a complete list of products I used to make these cards. Each product is linked to where you can find them in my online store.

This is the original purple Sweet Talk card that I shared in the video on November 17th.
Measurements…
Highland Heather Cardstock
4-1/4” x 11” scored parallel to short side at 5-1/2” then cut diagonally across the front from the upper left (where the scoreline marks the middle of the cardstock) to the lower right
Sweet Talk Designer Paper (conversation hearts pattern)

Prepare all the pieces indicated in the measurements listed above.
Stamp sentiment on the inside of the white “mini card” (pay attention to the direction since this piece will open from the left).
Die-cut a row of hearts from the striped designer paper.
Assemble the tag…
fold the cord, insert the loop through the hole of the tag from the front, open the loop, insert the ends, and pull a bit to tighten. Fringe the ends.
Add the silver square, the conversation hearts (on Dimensionals), and the rhinestones.
Add the tag to the striped designer paper, add the designer paper to the silver layer, then add this piece to the white “left opening” mini card.
Add the diagonally cut conversation hearts pattern designer paper to the front diagonally cut Highland Heather card base. Insert and adhere the mini card (watching so that is is centered when placed).
Then embellish with a few more Rhinestone Jewels.
After making that first one, I wanted to make several to send to team members. But I didn’t have much Silver Foil paper left. So I made a big stack of this second version of the Sweet Talk Diagonal Joy Fold Cards. I love how each one is a bit different depending on the hearts AND the section of ombré glimmer paper added. But they are all so fun and “sugary” looking…a “tasty” way to wish someone a Happy Valentine’s Day without any calories or cavities.
Measurements…
Highland Heather Cardstock
4-1/4” x 11” scored parallel to short side at 5-1/2” then cut diagonally across the front from the upper left (where the scoreline marks the middle of the cardstock) to the lower right
Sweet Talk Designer Paper (candy pattern)
Half of a diagonally cut 4” x 5-1/4” piece
Basic White Cardstock
3” x 8” scored parallel to the short side at 4”
1/2″ x at least 3-1/2″ (can be trimmed down)
Sweet Talk Designer Paper (conversation hearts pattern)
Scraps for die-cutting 2 hearts
Real Red Cardstock
2-7/8” x 3-7/8”
Gorgeous Grape Ombré Specialty Glimmer Paper
2-3/4” x 3-3/4”
Silver Metallic Mesh
4-1/2″
Directions…

Punch the white strip and stamp sentiment. Stamp sentiment on the inside of the white “mini card” (pay attention to the direction since this piece will open from the left).
Die-cut the hearts and prepare all the pieces indicated in the measurements listed above.
Wrap the Metallic Mesh Ribbon around the glimmer paper and tape ends to the back. Add the glimmer paper to the red.
Add the sentiment strip next (with Dimensionals). And trim off any excess hanging off the right side.
Add the die-cut hearts with Dimensionals. Then layer this piece to the white “left opening” mini card.
Add the diagonally cut candy pattern designer paper to the front diagonally cut Highland Heather card base. Insert and adhere the mini card (watching so that is is centered when placed).
Then embellish with the Red Rhinestone Jewels.

4-1/4” x 5-1/2”
Scrap for punching the deer
Mint Macaron Cardstock
2-7/8” x 5-3/4” scored 1″ in from the top
Basic White Cardstock
2-3/4” x 2-3/4” torn in half to make the snowy ground layers
2-3/4″ x 1″ torn along one long edge
2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ for inside panel
Scrap for stamping and punching sentiment
Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
Scrap for punching the nose
Whimsy & Wonder Designer Paper
4” x 5-1/4″
Two pieces that are 1/2″ x 2-3/4″
Silver Specialty Paper
Scrap for punching antlers
Directions
Cut, tear and punch all the pieces according to the measurements above.
Stamp the sentiments.
Assemble the deer.
Fold the Mint Macaron Cardstock over the top edge of the Mossy Meadow Cardstock card base and adhere. Use Bone Folder to reinforce the fold.
Add the larger sentiment layer and a strip of designer paper to the inside flap. Add the larger designer paper to the Mossy Meadow base piece.
Close the card and add the snow layers at the bottom and the other torn white piece and designer paper strip at the top.
Use Dimensionals to add the deer.
It’s a quick and festive one if you are still looking for a design you can recreate for your holiday cards.

I’m a huge fan of Stamp-n-Storage products. I have several of their organizers in my craft space. In this photo below I’m using their 6×6 Paper Holders to hold and organize my precut cards and envelope packs. You can see I also have their 12×12 paper holders in my IKEA unit.
I have painted many of my units. If you are planning to do so, be sure to use spray paint to seal the wood. A couple light coats of this will act as a primer. Then apply your final color if you want to use a latex paint to match decor. Lightly sanding between coats is really helpful too! (Do not remove any dividers when painting product. The added paint will make it difficult to slide the dividers back in place.)

I wanted to share with you how I’m now organizing my ink refills. I used to have them on the mini shelf space just above my ink pads.
But now I hold them in families of 10 colors in a storage unit like this by The Country Hive . Do you see them under the plant in the above photo?
These Ink Refill Holders (which can hold either 10 bottles or 6 bottles) are pretty handy. And I love how they fit perfectly in my Stamp-n-StorageCorner Shelf unit. I’ve been dying to try the Alcohol Ink Art technique for a few months now. And I finally pulled out my vellum, high concentration isopropyl alcohol, Blends Markers, and other tools and literally started playing! This was SOOOooo much fun. I’m now addicted, and I’m excited to share.
I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago step-by-step directions for how to use Stampin’ Blends Markers, isopropyl alcohol, and various tools and products to get some stunning alcohol ink art designs to use as designer paper. I walk you through the basics. But I also share a couple creative options and tips for those who have already started playing with this technique. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post.
