For those of you in the US who have been waiting for these two punches, the Deer Builder and the Penguin Builder arrived at the Stampin’ Up! warehouse and as of yesterday morning are now available again in the online store. Yay!
If you had ordered either (or both) when they were on backorder status awhile ago, your wait is over. And your product is now shipping to you. It’s been a long wait. And your patience has been appreciated. Here is a note from Stampin’ Up! addressing product availability issues and a change occurring soon to help alleviate the stress of waiting…
“As you may have heard reported in the news, unprecedented shipping and logistics issues have resulted in a global supply chain crisis. This is affecting businesses world-wide and Stampin’ Up! is no exception. Due to extreme difficulties caused by these issues, starting December 1, 2021, Stampin’ Up! will no longer take orders for products that are not in stock. In other words, Stampin’ Up! will no longer accept backorders. This change will help to reduce frustrations from unpredictable product availability and allow you to order products that will be delivered right away, rather than products that may not be delivered for months. If you’d ever like to know if a product is available, please check the online store. The online store is a great resource to browse products, determine availability, and place orders for in-stock items. With this change you can start creating without waiting!“
So on that note, here is a card that I made (months ago) and can now share with you.

Measurements
- Mossy Meadow Cardstock
- 4-1/4” x 5-1/2”
- Scrap for punching the deer
- Mint Macaron Cardstock
- 2-7/8” x 5-3/4” scored 1″ in from the top
- Basic White Cardstock
- 2-3/4” x 2-3/4” torn in half to make the snowy ground layers
- 2-3/4″ x 1″ torn along one long edge
- 2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ for inside panel
- Scrap for stamping and punching sentiment
- Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
- Scrap for punching the nose
- Whimsy & Wonder Designer Paper
- 4” x 5-1/4″
- Two pieces that are 1/2″ x 2-3/4″
- Silver Specialty Paper
- Scrap for punching antlers
Directions
- Cut, tear and punch all the pieces according to the measurements above.
- Stamp the sentiments.
- Assemble the deer.
- Fold the Mint Macaron Cardstock over the top edge of the Mossy Meadow Cardstock card base and adhere. Use Bone Folder to reinforce the fold.
- Add the larger sentiment layer and a strip of designer paper to the inside flap. Add the larger designer paper to the Mossy Meadow base piece.
- Close the card and add the snow layers at the bottom and the other torn white piece and designer paper strip at the top.
- Use Dimensionals to add the deer.
It’s a quick and festive one if you are still looking for a design you can recreate for your holiday cards.
