I’ve been dying to try the Alcohol Ink Art technique for a few months now. And I finally pulled out my vellum, high concentration isopropyl alcohol, Blends Markers, and other tools and literally started playing! This was SOOOooo much fun. I’m now addicted, and I’m excited to share.
I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago step-by-step directions for how to use Stampin’ Blends Markers, isopropyl alcohol, and various tools and products to get some stunning alcohol ink art designs to use as designer paper. I walk you through the basics. But I also share a couple creative options and tips for those who have already started playing with this technique. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video by clicking here (or you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog post), scroll through the close-up photos that follow, check out the measurements & products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.
I hope you enjoyed what I shared in this video. Below are measurements, close-up photos, and a product list for the card I demonstrated. (Please subscribe to my YouTube channel so you can get updates when I share and go live).

Beautiful creations Rachel. watching the replay from S. Ontario.
Thanks!
I’ll have to watch the replay. Been entertaining company and missed the live.
Summer is a busy time.
Great tips. Thank you!
thanks Meralee!
very cool!! love doing this!
When the ink makes those dark puddles you might notice that they are sticky. You can use the gold leaf on those sticky areas,. When this happens you can replicate the paper that has that affect. Have fun
Yep…I mention that in my video. 😊 Very fun indeed!
Sorry, I didn’t watch all the way through when I made the comment above. Clever girl, I knew you knew it!
Thanks for sharing, Rachel can’t wait to try this technique
Glad you enjoyed what I shared Susan!
Watching the replay. Love the idea of using window sheets for this technique.
I think I’ll play around with the 91% alcohol next. That might do better with the window sheets.
as they say we learn from our mistakes and you did it for the guilding—yeah—-just got this set and needed to learn how to do the backgrounds with what LOL I call the blob so now have your video to go back to to make sure doing it right—thanks for sharing and showing and the video as love the videos but not the ones where one says do this or that. Thanks
Aww…thanks Donna. ❤️
I loved your video. I’ve worked with the alcohol inks and isopropyl alcohol before, but I learned some great tips from you. Thank you so much.
Wonderful! Thanks Mitzi. 🦋
