Are you familiar with Stampin’ Up!’s new kit line: Kits Collection? It’s an offering only available online (not in catalogs) to allow for quick additions of new kits when ready and the possible deletion of sold out kits without the issue of backorders. I have to say that I’m very pleased that popular, sold out kits are being replenished, though. The Notes of Cheer kit was sold out in the US market but is now back!
And the Christmas Whimsy kit did not disappear but instead has been marked as “currently unavailable.” So it should be coming back in the US market as well. Yay!
The kits are all-inclusive and easy DIY projects. You get Stampin’ Up!’s high quality products at affordable prices, too. Great for crafting-on-the-go and for those that don’t have the space, time, and/or budget for a craft room of supplies.
After putting together the adorable cards in the Christmas Whimsy kit from the Kits Collection, I used what was left over and got creative. The negatives (the paper that the elves and other die-cut images were punched from) made great stencils. I just lined up the stencil onto my folded note card, masked that area off with sticky notes, and used a Blending Brush to apply the ink.
I even added in another color ink to change it up a bit AND did a two-tone version for my third card. The leftovers included several gold star stickers and a bit of gold trim. So of course, I had to use those.
Because there were four extra labels, I brought in a bit more from my personal stash (the Painted Christmas Designer Paper, Evening Evergreen Cardstock, and some extra Basic White Cardstock) to make this card.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements for designer paper background card…
Evening Evergreen Cardstock
5-1/2” x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to short side at 4-1/4”
Painted Christmas Designer Paper
4” x 5-1/4”
Basic White Cardstock
4” x 5-1/4”
I also had other “stencils.” So with the help of more sticky notes and copy paper to mask again…
…this is another card I made. This Basic White card base is not one of the note cards. I cut it myself. It measures 5-1/2” x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to short side at 4-1/4”. You can pair this size card up with the Basic White Medium Envelopes.
I used an extra tag shaped label and more designer paper and cardstock (same measurements as above) to make this card. To get the fringed trim, cut a length about 5″ long, pull all the threads apart, then hold them altogether as if they are one again, thread them through, and tie the knot. You get more sparkle when they are fringy like this. OH! And if you noticed in the card above, I used silver trim. I got this from the pack of Simply Elegant Trim (which includes gold and silver).
So don’t throw away those extras. There are always more possibilities if you think outside the box.
My next kit to assemble is the Love, Santa Tag Kit. (I’ve got all my pieces punched out and ready to go.) It’s the newest in the line and also can be paired up with the Love, Santa Treat Bags – purchase together OR separately. Fun, fun, fun!

The Paper Pumpkin kit that is now shipping out to subscribers is going to coordinate with the Peaceful Place Suite of products. I haven’t seen the kit yet, but I’m excited because that suite in the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog is beautiful! So today I thought I’d share some simple cards you can make with some of the suite’s designer papers – those that have the larger tree images. With these papers you can make 26 pretty winter cards (a set of thank you’s, thinking of you’s, or Christmas cards) with 6 of the 12 sheets.
I’ve only made a sampling of these cards, but you can see in the images below how you could get that many.
12 cards from the design in this sheet (6 from each of the two sheets)…
8 cards from the design in this sheet (4 from each of the two sheets)…
6 cards from the design in this sheet (3 from each of the two sheets)…
You can also see in the photos that I used either the Red Rhinestone Jewels or the 2021-23 In Color Jewels to embellish the word “FOR” in each sentiment oval piece.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements
Base Cardstock
4-1/4” x 11″ scored parallel to short side at 5-1/2”
Basic Gray or Basic Black Cardstock
4-1/8” x 5-3/8″
Scrap for punch larger oval
Peaceful Place Designer Paper
4” x 5-1/4”
3/4″ x 4″
Basic White Cardstock
4” x 5-1/4”
Scrap for stamping and punching sentiment oval
Smoky Slate 7/8″ Ribbon (optional)
5″
Tips
Use the photos above as guides to where you can get the best cuts from your sheets of designer paper.
The base cardstock color could match the rhinestones (or not). I used Soft Succulent Jewels with Soft Succulent Cardstock and an Evening Evergreen Jewel with Evening Evergreen Cardstock below. But I also used a Red Rhinestone with the Evening Evergreen Cardstock on the bottom right card.
Or you could even pair up some of those In Color Jewels with other cardstock colors that are close but not exact since the jewels themselves really have a multicolor tone to them. The cardstock colors below are Bumblebee, Magenta Madness, Highland Heather, Real Red (with the Red Rhinestone), Shaded Spruce, and Just Jade.
Stamp the sentiments, then turn the punch upside-down and punch.
Add the larger oval to the designer paper strip with Seal Adhesive. Then layer the white oval to the darker larger oval using Dimensionals.
Thanks for stopping by to see what I had to share today.
If you are one of my Paper Pumpkin subscribers and received the September kit, then I sent a little sampler of papers to you recently. Two of the papers came from this Peaceful Place pack. You can wait and use it with your upcoming October kit. Or feel free to make a card similar to one the ones I shared today instead.
And if you are interested in becoming a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, scroll down to check out the next kit around the corner titled Gifts Galore.

One of the most adorable suite of products in the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog is called Gingerbread & Peppermint. It is found on pages 8-10 with page 8 and 10 boasting some adorable samples. The Memories & More card pack is a bit different than other M&M card packs in the past, because this one appears to be more geared towards card making and treat baking than memory keeping.
So I decided to see just how many cards I could create. I had to add cardstock and envelopes but tried to use as few extra products as I could. And the end result was 42 cards!
I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating the eight separate Christmas card designs needed to make these 42 cards. I used the Frosted Gingerbread Stamp Set, the Gingerbread & Peppermint M&M card pack, the Gingerbread & Peppermint cards & envelopes, the Real Red Ruffled Ribbon, Pearls, Basic White Cardstock & Envelopes, and Early Espresso Cardstock. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video by clicking here (or you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog post), scroll through the close-up photos that follow, check out the measurements & products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.
I hope you enjoyed what I shared in this video. Below are measurements, close-up photos, and a product list for what I demonstrated. (Please subscribe to my YouTube channel so you can get updates when I share and go live).

If you are new to paper crafting with Stampin’ Up! products, there is an acronym that many of us use…DSP. It stands for Designer Series Paper. Just wanted to share that with you in case you had seen it and were curious.
My favorite DSP is currently Expressions in Ink. The colors are amazing, and the designs are trendy and feature the alcohol ink art technique you may have seen out there. One side of the sheets include gold foiling. So of course it is so much more stunning in person. But hopefully these photos will do it a bit of justice.
I’ve share lots of projects already featuring this paper on May 12, May 14, May 31, June 11, June 18, July 7, August 6, and August 30. But I have to share it AGAIN. Hahaha! Here is my latest card featuring my favorite of all the papers in this pack. Yes, I finally cut it up and used that deep and dreamy green sheet.
And here is the information you’ll need if you wish to recreate what I made.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements for one card…
Basic White Thick Cardstock
5-1/2” x 7-1/2” scored parallel to short side at 4-1/4”
Shaded Spruce Cardstock
2-1/8″ x 5-1/2″
Early Espresso Cardstock
Scrap for die-cutting pinecone piece
Soft Suede Cardstock
Scrap for die-cutting pinecone piece
Gold Foil Paper
Scraps for die-cutting pine branch pieces
Expessions in Ink Designer Paper
2-5/8″ x 5-1/4″
Directions
Die-cut the pine cones and branch pieces. Trim the branch piece so you just have what you need. (The rest of it can be used for additional cards. OR you can just die-cut the portion you want to use for one card in the first place.) You’ll need a bit of the branches for the outside AND the inside.
Add the designer paper with just a tiny bit of adhesive (so you can remove it if you mess up) to the front 3-1/4″ wide section of the Basic White card base. Then stamp the vertical sentiment. If you mess up, you can always use that designer paper on another card base. I suggest practicing your stamping first on scrap paper. I mass-produced my set of cards. So I used the Stamparatus tool. That way all my stamp images landed in the same place on all 40 of my cards.
Stamp the inside sentiment.
Once you’ve stamped the vertical Happy Birthday and the inside sentiment, add the designer paper layer with more adhesive making sure to tuck in a gold branch piece before pressing all the way down.
Assemble your pinecone/s using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then add to the front with Dimensionals.
Emboss the Shaded Spruce cardstock. Add to the inside of the card on the right making sure to tuck in that second gold branch piece before pressing all the way down.
Ta-da!! Here are a few different versions…different designer paper pieces, different branch pieces, and different pinecone configurations.
