I saw a fun fold card on Pinterest made by fellow demonstrator, Karin Hobelsberger from Germany. She was sharing it in the A4 size with metric measurements. So I adapted the measurements and came up a version for Letter size cardstock using inches. I shared that version of this card with my Stampers With ART group last month during our Online Team Event. And then afterwards team member, Vicki Spicer shared a link to Dawn Griffith’s version of this with me AND I saw team member, Vy Tran’s version of it with a pop-up piece added! So I made a few improvements.
`I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating this Hidden Pop-Up Flap Fold Card using products from the beautiful new Expressions In Ink Suite: Artistically Inked Stamp Set, Artistic Dies and Expressions In Ink Designer Paper. And now Iām sharing that video hereĀ in my blog post. This is my first time to watch and love your laugh! I would like to watch and if you can notify me of your live so I don’t miss, Please!
Aww…thanks Gillie! I go live most every Wednesday at 11 AM Central Time. (not this next one though…I’ll be in Hawaii on vacation)
Rachel, I am trying to get the video from Dawn Griffith and for some reason your link appears to go to the German video…can you help? (after you get back from your trip of course!)
Oh, thank you Bernice! I think I updated the link. Let me know if you see anywhere else where I missed.
What an awesome fun fold card that was. I will try to make it. Thank you for sharing
Thanks Arlene. Glad you enjoyed this!
Hi Rachel,
Okay, redoing the white card stock because I am following your video and forgot in your live video that you stated the score line was 5 1/2″ and not 4 1/2″ and since I forgot I did the score line at the 4 1/2″ because I would stop the video on every step and follow along.
So here is my suggestion:
When there is an error in the video, I have seen other people do an edit line on the video when something needs to be corrected in their video. Do you think maybe you could do that, just insert a text remark stating it should be scored at the 5 1/2″ for those of us that follow you step by step. You know I love you and I hope you will take this as a good critique and nothing negative. I know I would appreciate it. Love you girl!
Thanks Linda for the thought. I don’t edit my lives. If I do, the comments from the live are at risk. I was told by YouTube that those can disappear. So once the video is up, it’s up. For my pre-recorded videos I do that, though.
Thanks, Rachel! The link in your post is not correct, but the link on your you-tube video is linked properly so I could get to it. Thank you!
Oh, thank you! I just fixed that one now, too. Hugs to you Bernice!
LOVE the card. I’m looking forward to trying this out. Enjoy Hawaii.
Thanks Ann!
You are soooooo kind to share these wonderfully creative projects with your fans, and I also appreciate how you always provide a list of the measurements! Thanks for making me smile from ear-to-ear today (and for the next few days) with your card and video š
Aww…you just made ME smile from ear-to-ear. Thanks KT for your sweet words.
Rachel, I have made this card twice, and both times my white inner attached piece sticks out of both the top and the bottom of the card. What am I doing wrong or is there an issue with the measurements of the Basic White Thick Cardstock piece.
I’ve had many who have shared their card results with me, and no one complained of any issues with the measurements. I’m so sorry Bernice. I’m not sure what is happening with yours. š Maybe you are adding the plastic piece in the wrong direction?
This was amazing!!! Thanks so much for sharing all the directions and measurements. Your videos always make me smile. š I made it into a birthday card for my best friend, perfect timing!
Oh fun! I’m glad you were able to make one yourself Becky.
Hi Rachel – I’m a new Demonstrator in Australia and love, love, love your inspiring videos and tutorials. Thank you. Sally š
Aww…thanks for leaving me your sweet comment. Have fun on the demonstrator side of things. And congrats!
