I hope you enjoyed seeing the new Expressions In Ink products and the fun card I shared on Wednesday. Today I’m sharing some super simple cards that I made with four of the patterned papers in this Expressions in Ink designer paper pack, images from the Create With Friends Stamp Set (set design inspired by Million Sales Achiever Jennifer Cotton), and some 2021-23 In Color Jewels.

Each 12″ x 12″ designer paper can be cut similarly to the one shown below…into three 4″ wide strips. Then you can cut two 4″ x 5-1/4″ layers from each of those, stamp them, and add them to your card bases. 

And even though all the papers are quite beautiful, only four of the twelve designs in this pack have white space areas like this sheet making them perfect for creating quick and simple cards. (FYI…the paper patterns shown in the online store are slightly different than those on page 131 in the catalog. Those in the catalog show the pattens accurately.) Two of those four designs are back-to-back, though. So you’ll have to pick and choose which side to use. But altogether you can make 24 cards from one pack of this designer paper and still be left with a half pack (six other sheets) to use in other ways.

Measurements for each card…

• Basic White Thick or Basic Black Cardstock
  • 4-1/4” x 11” scored parallel to short side at 5-1/2”
  • 4″ x 5-1/4″ (for the inside if the card base is black)
• Expressions In Ink Designer Paper
  • 4″ x 5-1/4″

Directions 

• Stamp the words in two colors onto the designer paper.
• Add to the folded card base piece using a Dimensional in each corner. 
• Add the jewels.
• Add the inside white layer if the card base is black. 

That’s it! Yep…the designer paper is so beautiful, there is no need to add much more if you are in a hurry or just feel like making a quick card or two (or more!). Here are close-ups of the four cards I made.

I love the foil accenting! Half the patterns in this pack have foil accenting.

This pattern is filled a bit more with color than the other three, but there is still space to stamp.

The In Color Jewels have pretty similar colors and pair well with this paper.

Adding the designer paper layers with Dimensionals adds a little depth and shadow.

You could even make several sets of these cards and give them as gifts.
