One of my favorite things about Christmas is getting cards from my friends and family.
Here are nineteen cards made with Stampin’ Up! products that were sent to me this holiday season. Those that made each card are mentioned in the watermarks of the photos. A big thank you to all of the crafters/creators!
\
I hope these card ideas I shared today provided some creative inspiration for you!
We ended up going sledding yesterday. But it was at night…in the dark! How fun!!
Luke, Nick, Tim and I joined with our friends…
…Ryan, Rachel, and their boys.
They brought three of their four. So below altogether are Hudson, Nick, Parker, Nolan and Luke. (You may recall Rachel and Parker were who Nick and I hung out with in Disney World last January during the Jazz Band trip.)
What a fun time we had. It was super cold out, but the exercise of going back up the hill each time kept our blood pumping. I’m excited to do this again soon!

This was the card I created and recently mailed out to those in my Stampers With ART Community. I decided to make this year’s holiday card with products that would still be available after the August-December catalog ends January 4. Although it was super tempting to use any number of those mini catalog products, I didn’t for two reasons: I wanted to send them each a card with supplies that would stay current in case they wanted to use this card as inspiration for (or at) any of their future customer events AND I loved the sentiments in the stamp set I used – A Wish For Everything. I really think the New Year’s sentiment is extra special this year since we are all ready to put 2020 behind us.
I also used some Forever Greenery Designer Paper, leaf clusters from the Wreath Builder Dies, Real Red Satin Ribbon, and some Red Rhinestones for berries near my leaves.
Here are details if you want to make this card yourself.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store. Please note that our white cardstock is “in transition” right now…Whisper White is currently sold out and will be replaced by Basic White soon (no date is available yet).
Measurements…
Basic Black Cardstock
8-1/2” x 5-1/2” scored parallel to short side at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4”
Scrap for punching 2-1/4″ Circle
Shaded Spruce Cardstock
4″ x 5-1/4″
Just Jade Cardstock
Scrap for die-cutting wreath
Whisper White Cardstock
Scraps for stamping and punching sentiment circles
Forever Greenery Designer Paper
2″ x 5″
Real Red Satin Ribbon
7″
Directions…
Stamp then punch “merry little wish” sentiment with 2″ Circle Punch. Stamp then punch “new year” sentiment with 2-1/4″ Circle Punch. Punch Basic Black scrap with 2-1/4″ Circle Punch.
Die-cut wreath, then trim out a couple leaf clusters.
Attach designer paper to the Shaded Spruce Cardstock. Add ribbon… wrapping and adhering ends to the backside but being careful not to have exposed adhesive back there. Then fold the Basic Black card base into a z-fold, and attach this layer to the left quarter of the card base only. Do not add adhesive on the back of the right half.
Add the “merry little wish” sentiment circle to the 2-1/4″ Basic Black circle. Add the leaf clusters to the two sentiment circles using Glue Dots, and then add the circles to the card.
Then two days ago I made a similar card with the same layout but with a Valentine theme. I used new products from the upcoming January-June Mini Catalog and Sale-a-Bration Brochure: the Flower and Field Designer Paper, images from the Hearts & Kisses Stamp Set, hearts punched with the coordinating Kiss Punch, the non-metallic side of the Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon, and some Basic Rhinestones to show how you can adapt a layout you like to other products you have (or may want to get!)
Here are details if you want to make this card yourself.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store. Please note that I am unable to link new products in the online store until they are actually available. Because a few of these items won’t be available until January 5, 2021, they are not linked below because I posted this on December 27, 2020. Also please note that our white cardstock is “in transition” right now…Whisper White is currently sold out and will be replaced by Basic White soon (no date is available yet).
Measurements…
Basic Black Cardstock
8-1/2” x 5-1/2” scored parallel to short side at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4”
Scrap for punching 2-1/4″ Circle
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock

Blushing Bride Cardstock
Scraps for punching hearts
Whisper White Cardstock
Scraps for stamping and punching sentiment circles
Flower and Field Designer Paper
2″ x 5″
Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon
7″
Directions…
Mask and stamp “sealed with a kiss” sentiment. Then punch with 2″ Circle Punch. Stamp lips and xoxo. Then punch with 2-1/4″ Circle Punch. Punch Basic Black scrap with 2-1/4″ Circle Punch.
Punch hearts.
Attach designer paper to the Cherry Cobbler Cardstock. Add ribbon… wrapping and adhering ends to the backside but being careful not to have exposed adhesive back there. Then fold the Basic Black card base into a z-fold, and attach this layer to the left quarter of the card base only. Do not add adhesive on the back of the right half.
Add the “sealed with a kiss” sentiment circle to the 2-1/4″ Basic Black circle. Then add the circles to the card.
Like most, we celebrated our 2020 Christmas without gathering in person with friends or family. We did a lot of shopping online. And we baked too many cookies and treats. Here is just a fraction of what we have in our house. (Ignore the messy counter.)
But we made it special in other ways. On the 21st we drove around to nearby houses to see amazing Christmas light displays. The photos below show two houses that were “must sees” with lights synced to music that you tune in and listen to on the radio. Both houses collected donations that they in turn gave to local charitable organizations.
Then on the 23rd we had a winter storm that brought a ton of snow. I got my wish…a white Christmas! So we spent the morning of Christmas Eve all out there as a family shoveling our driveway & sidewalk and de-icing the car. Tim was pleased we were out there helping. And I loved the exercise. I’m proud to say I lasted longer than my boys. It was still cold and windy and one didn’t want to wear a hat and mess up his hair and the other wanted to wear a special jacket that was way too thin.
We had a fabulous seafood dinner that evening with Lobster, Scallops and Crab Legs. No one touched the rice and green beans except me. There was just too much seafood. We Zoomed with my side of the family. And then we watched one of our favorite movies, the Polar Express.
Santa still visits, because we all believe (the bell still rings for us). So I had to take a photo of our tree before opening gifts Christmas morning.
It was a very relaxing day (with naps and no planned meals…just grazing on left overs). And then that evening, on Christmas Day night we drove to the fairgrounds to see GLOW and have fair food – all from the safety of our vehicle. (It was a drive through event.)
We had also planned to go sledding (something Luke really wanted to do), but it has been super cold. We’ll see if we can squeeze that in today.
Blessings to you all and wishes for a safe and very Happy New Year!

Fellow demonstrator and friend, Vicki Spicer gave me a gift before November’s OnStage event – a cute Mini Clutch Bag with some treats inside. I shared it on on November 8th.
She got the idea from Angelina Clark at Intatwyne Designs. (Thanks Vicki and Angelina!) I was intrigued by this bag AND had requests for showing 3-D packaging to hold gift cards. So I adapted the measurements and came up with an even smaller version. And isn’t that handle at the top stinkin’ adorable!?
I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating this adorable Christmas-themed petite clutch bag using the Everything Essential Stamp Set, ‘Tis the Season Designer Paper, Stitched Shapes Dies, and some gold accenting. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video by clicking here (or you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog post), scroll through the close-up photos that follow, check out the measurements & products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.

WHISPER WHITE LEAVING…BASIC WHITE COMING News from SU…“We are sad to announce that the supplier’s mill producing our Whisper White cardstock has permanently closed due to impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. Even though this decision was out of our hands, rest assured that we jumped right into action to find the best replacement paper possible. We have dedicated many hours to source and test alternative cardstock options from several suppliers to find the perfect fit that still maintains the Stampin’ Up! quality you know and trust. And we are happy to share that we have found a winner for our new cardstock, Basic White! Our new Basic White products will become available to purchase as soon as we have them in stock. MY ONLINE PAPER CRAFTERS CLUB IS LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBERS We are looking for more to join our online Paper Crafters club. The commitment is to order at least $25 worth of Stampin’ Up! product in each of 6 consecutive months. In one of those months, you would reap the hosting rewards (free merchandise based on the club orders). Today is the last day to sign up for (or have an active subscription for) Paper Pumpkin so you get in on this month’s December kit. And if your subscription is through me, you’ll be able to enjoy exclusive ideas shared in video tutorials from the PPX Crew of six talented Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.
Did you get this past month’s kit? If you did, be sure to check out my fun alternate projects that I shared on November 23 and December 3. Today I have a few more that I created with the November 2020 Jolly Gingerbread kit: a simple treat holder/ornament, a z-fold card, and a framed home décor piece.
Extra products I used… See below for a complete list of extra products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.
The simple treat holder/ornament is just that…super simple.
Tips…
Cut the flap off the kit envelope. And decorate the front and back with stamp images while flat.
Fold the opening in the opposite direction to form a sour cream shaped container.
Add two strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive as shown. And fill the container with candy/treats.
Pinch closed.
Pierce a hole and add some ribbon if you wish to make these into ornaments.
The gingerbread fronts and backs are perfect centerpieces for a full-size card. So go a step further by adding an extra fold in the base to make a fun z-fold card.
Measurements…
Whisper White Thick Cardstock
5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to the short end at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″
Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper (or some other fun/fancy paper since this is now sold out)
4″ x 5-1/4″
Tips…
Stamp and decorate a gingerbread front (or back).
Add Dimensionals only to the back of the left half.
Then mount this the middle of the Plush Poinsettia layer.
Add some Seal Adhesive to the back of the Plush Poinsettia paper only in the area behind the house where the Dimensionals are.
Fold the card base into a z-fold and add the Plush Poinsettia layer.
Open the card and stamp/embellish the inside.
The framed home décor piece was SOOOooo fun to make. I basically did the same thing in this project that I did with my scrapbook page layout that I shared on November 23. Click here to view that post and watch the how to video for tips and tricks. I used a 9×9 frame.
Measurements…
Whisper White Cardstock
9″ x 9″
8″ x 8″
Mint Macaron Cardstock
8-1/4″ x 8-1/4″
Shaded Spruce Cardstock
1/4″ x 8″ (two pieces)
Scraps for punching four trees
Snowflake Splendor Ribbon
8-1/2″
7″ (three pieces)
Tips…
Click here to view my post and watch the how to video for tips and tricks for the scrapbook page that I made in a similar fashion.
Tear all snowy ground layers from the 8″ x 8″ piece of Whisper White. Then layer them using Seal or Dimensionals between the layers. Be sure not to put adhesive too close to the top edge. Otherwise you may not be able to tuck in the candy embellishments.
To add the Shaded Spruce strip and ribbon on the top, apply Seal Adhesive directly to the Mint Macaron layer then attach. You can wrap the ends of the ribbon around the back, or just trim them.
I added the bows with Glue Dots from the online store. The ones that come in the kits aren’t strong enough for this ribbon.
I hope I inspired your creativity with what I shared today!

I had a few requests lately. One of them was to share how to make Vy Tran’s fun fold card that I posted on my blog on November 27th. Another was to use the Snowman Season stamp set. And the third request was to show a fun birthday card for a kiddo who has a winter birthday. So I combined all those requests together and came up with a “grand & splendid snowman stretch card.” (The wording comes from the products I used. ?)
I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating this fun fold card using the Grand Kid and Snowman Season Stamp Sets, Snowflake Splendor Designer Paper, and some punches. I was playing around and discovered that the Target brand gift cards with much rounder corners (and smaller-than-usual size gift cards) fit into our Round Tin containers. The size of the tin limits you on which cards you can gift. But still… I wanted to share my creation, because some of you MAY be able to use this idea for your gifting this holiday season. PLUS…the main products I used to make this are on sale in the closeouts starting today!
Products I used… See below for a complete list of current products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Directions…
Die-cut the Real Red and Shaded Spruce Cardstock with the Sweetest Borders Dies.
Stamp and die-cut a sentiment on the Whisper White Cardstock.
Color two large and one small Clear Epoxy Droplets with the Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends Marker.
Cut the Silver Foil Sheet with the 1-7/8″ Circle Die. Then emboss with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder.
Using the Layering Circle Dies cut two 1-3/8″ circles from the Foam Adhesive Sheets.
Remove the plastic center, then cut one of the sponge brayer rollers to get a 3/4″ piece. Add the Foam Adhesive Sheet circles to the top and bottom.
Adhere this to the inside of the tin so it’s centered. Then add the embossed silver circle on top of that.
Use Glue Dots to add the die-cut leaves and berries to the lid. Add the colored epoxy droplets on top of the red shape.
Then fill with some treats and top with a gift card.
I hope you enjoyed this idea. And I hope you enjoy the sale.
Thanks for stopping by today!
