Here is a photo of the intended projects from this month’s kit: nine full-size cards (three of three kinds measuring 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″) and includes coordinating envelopes.
I’ve already shared a few other alternate projects using the contents of this kit on August 23rd.
Today I am sharing a 12″ x 9″ Accordion Display Gift Album.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of extra products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements of extra product…
Pacific Point Cardstock
12″ x 9″
Two pieces that are 3″ x 9″
Basic Black Cardstock
Two pieces that are 2-3/4″ x 8-1/2″
Six pieces that are 2-5/8″ x 2-5/8″
Mint Macaron Cardstock
Six pieces that are 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″
Just Jade Ribbon
Two pieces that are 10″
Measurements of kit product…
Mint Macaron card base
Two pieces that are 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″
Pacific Point card base
Two pieces that are 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″
Two pieces that are 1-1/4″ x 2-3/4″
Just Jade envelope flap
Two pieces that are 1-1/4″ x 2-3/4″
Directions…
Score the 12″ x 9″ Pacific Point Cardstock parallel to the short end at 3″, 6″ and 9″. Then rotate and cut parallel to the long end at 3″ and 6″ but don’t cut all the way through…start 1-1/2″ in from one end and stop the cut 1-1/2″ in from the other. Lastly rotate once more and add two more scores to connect the ends of these cuts (1-1/2″ in from each end).
Cut all the other pieces to the sizes indicated in the measurements above.
These images show how you could cut from the kit cards and envelopes.
Snip two vellum branches and add them to the blue printed squares hiding any adhesives under the gold banner strips.
Trim 1/2″ off of two more gold banners and add them to the dark green printed rectangle pieces.
Start layering all the pieces on. (The blue printed rectangles will be added later.)
Fold as shown, then flatten shut.
Add the ends of the ribbon pieces. One will go against the out edge of the Pacific Point base (where the back 3″ x 9″ Pacific Point panel will connect). Be sure to slather on lots of Seal+ Adhesive. Keep the adhesive in the middle first. Then add the 3″ x 9″ Pacific Point piece on top. Once this is lined up and secure in the middle, lift the ends to add a bit more Seal+ to secure.
When you open the album back up, notice that there is an extra area of blue behind the right middle section. This is where you will add the other ribbon covered by a blue printed rectangle. At this point you could also add the other 3″ x 9″ Pacific Point to the front off the closed album and the front side along with the other blue printed rectangle. No ribbons are added here.
OH! in the above photo you can see I added the other vellum leaves and gold leaves on top. I sponged Multipurpose Liquid glue to the back sides of these leaves to adhere them.
Add the 2-3/4″ x 8-1/2″ Basic Black layers to the front and back of the closed album. And then decorate the front as shown.
Tip: Trim the corners from the Fovever Gold piece as shown. It will fit better under the largest white circle which is actually the large blue circle piece from the kit.
This is the album all the way open.
And this is the album closed and tied shut.
I hope I inspired your creativity with what I shared today!

After creating the fun place setting and party décor projects that I shared on Thursday during the Paper Pumpkin blog hop, I decided that I needed a scrapbook page layout that will hold memories from that celebration that my family will have after our new campfire patio gets installed this month.
I had a few extra jar pieces that I hadn’t used yet. And my favorite elements in this last kit were the adorable fire flies. So I made those the main elements of my page layout, paired them up with the Playful Alphabet Dies and Artistry Blooms Designer Paper, and came up with this layout that I love. Here are the details…
Products I used… See below for a complete list of extra products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements…
Artistry Blooms Designer Paper (the ombre blue design)
Two sheets of 12×12
Night of Navy Cardstock
Six pieces that are 4-1/8” x 5-1/2″
Four pieces that are 3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″
I began creating my pages by placing my jars and bugs where I wanted them and then filled in with my photo mats and stars. Once I knew where I wanted everything to be, I began cutting and attaching my photo mats.
Directions…
Attach photo mats as shown above.
Create the title…Position the letters for your title to figure out how much room they are going to take up. Measure that area being sure to leave a little wiggle room. Cut out that much Foam Adhesive and attach it under the post card piece from the kit.
Once the Foam Adhesive is attached, die-cut all your letters for your title.
Vellum reveals adhesive. So attach the letters across the jars first. Add any bugs that will be on the outsides of the jars, too.
Then flip the jars over and place Glue Dots under the letters and bugs so the adhesive is hidden.
Adhere the jars down in place. And add the remainder of the letters, the rest of the bugs, and the stars.
If you need more alternate project ideas using this kit, be sure to check out my posts on July 21 and August 6.

Here is a photo of the intended projects from this month’s kit: nine postcard-style cards (5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″) with envelopes and nine die-cut tealight bags.
I’ve already shared a few other alternate projects using the contents of this kit on July 21st.
Five Alternate Full-Size Cards (including two slider cards & one easel card)
A Ghirardelli Treat Holder
23 Cards made from the Add-On Pack and Kit Extras Only
Today I am sharing place setting and lighting décor ideas for a summer night backyard party which I am planning to do for my family one of these August nights.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of extra products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.
The kit comes with tealight bags, but I altered mine – spray painted them black just to emphasize the die-cut burst on the front.
I will only be inviting my husband and kids to this Summer 2020 backyard party and I will have extra post cards and envelopes left over. So I sealed a couple envelopes, cut them in half, rolled the strip a bit with my Bone Folder, added some Tear & Tape Adhesive, and made napkin rings.
I embellished them by tying on a 12″ length of Night of Navy Ribbon tied in a bow. And then a slipped the bows through the holes in the mini lanterns.
I wanted to have some useable party favors. And since I’m trying so hard to get my boys to read books more often, I cut a couple post cards in half, rounded the corners and added a ribbon holes with the Detailed Trio Punch, stamped the fun sentiment from the kit on the fronts, and added Coastal Cabana and Purple Posy Ribbon to make bookmarks.
The last thing I made was a fun focal point to decorate the food table. Years ago I purchased a metal Stampin’ Up! logo card display in the shape of a tree. I added a battery-operated string of mini lights, and it is one of my favorite decorative pieces in my office/craft room. Well…I knew it would be perfect for my fireflies. So I marked the centers of the bug abdomens, punched holes in their bottoms using the Label Me Fancy Punch, and simply attached the bugs to the light string so the lights would shine through the holes. To attach I used Glue Dots placed on the back sides – one on each side of the holes. That’s it!
The trickiest part was to punch the holes. Those fireflies are small. So to fit them further inside the punch, I attached the bug heads to a sticky note (Post It® note). This gave me something to grab onto so I could maneuver the bug abdomens better for punching.
Now I’m guessing most of you don’t have this tree. But you could really add those fun mini lights to anything… any potted plant of some sort would work great!
I may just have to keep those little guys on my tree permanently. They make me happy.
I hope I inspired your creativity with what I shared today!

My July 2020 Summer Nights Paper Pumpkin kit arrived a couple days ago! This kit is all about creating a fun summer night’s celebration. I’m in love with the evening sky designs on the post cards. And the die-cut tealight bags are so much fun!
This fantastic, all-inclusive, monthly subscription kit contained the supplies shown below to make nine postcard-style cards (5-1/4″ x 4″) with envelopes and nine die-cut tealight bags.
Plus this month subscribers have the opportunity to purchase the Summer Nights Add-On (from the online store) which includes 24 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ card bases and envelopes in coordinating designs so you can use the leftover kit supplies and expand the creative experience. The designs on these Summer Nights Add-On cards/envelopes are slightly different than those on the postcards. And so these give you even more summer evening sky imagery to create with! If you decide to assemble the kit as is, you will have LOTS of extras leftover. So these extras would be great to pair up with those add-on cards!
But I don’t assemble my kits as is. I like to think outside the box…see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards, scrapbook pages and more. So I paired up the extra items in the product list at the bottom of this post to the above kit contents and created my alternate projects that I’m sharing with you today:
Five Alternate Full-Size Cards (including two slider cards & one easel card)
A Ghirardelli Treat Holder

These first two are slider cards.
These next three just share how easy it is to turn the post cards in the kit into full size cards by adding cardstock.

The number next to each card shows how many of each you can make with those leftover kit supplies. If you add those numbers up, you’ll find that they equal 23.

MY ONLINE PAPER CRAFTERS CLUB IS LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBERS We are looking for more to join our online Paper Crafters club. The commitment is to order at least $25 worth of Stampin’ Up! product in each of 6 consecutive months. In one of those months, you would reap the hosting rewards (free merchandise based on the club orders). And then you’d also be able to get in on monthly product perks that would be sent to you along with your monthly club cards.
Today, on the 10th (the last day of a subscriber period as we make sure our accounts are active so we don’t miss out on the July kit coming up) I wanted to share a few more cards I made with some of the remaining elements in my June 2020 Box of Sunshine Paper Pumpkin kit – cards that I’ve sent to a few of my Paper Pumpkin subscribers.
I “loved up” the card bases in this kit as some of you may have guessed when I shared my last set of cards on June 25th. So I didn’t have too many of those left over. But I ended up with extra lemon, pineapple, and sunshine die-cuts and decided to pair them up with my own card bases made from Whisper White cardstock. Below are the three quick and easy cards I made.
I didn’t use a whole lot of extra product for these cards. But I wanted a subtle background, a bit more gold accenting, and a different sentiment. Here are the details…
Products I used… See below for a complete list of extra products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements…
Whisper White Thick Cardstock
4-1/4” x 11″ scored parallel to the short side at 5-1/2”
Gold Metallic-Edged Ribbon
4-1/4″
Directions…
Add a drop of water to a drop of ink refill in a bowl or on a plate to dilute the color just a bit. Pick up a bit of this ink with a Water Painter (or paintbrush). Then tap the Water Painter barrel against the cap of the Water Painter (or any other narrow hard object such as a pencil) to release speckles of color off onto the Whisper White card base. Allow a few minutes for these speckles of color to dry. Each card will turn out differently. It’s hard to control the size of the speckles and where they will land.
Attach the black polka-dot sticker strip (from the kit) to the length to ribbon. Trim off excess ribbon from the ends, then attach to the card base as shown. (I placed this strip anywhere from 1″ to a little over 1-1/2″ from the bottom depending on the card.)
Position where the die-cut shape will sit, but don’t adhere it yet. Use this as a guide, and stamp the sentiment. Then adhere the die-cut using Dimensionals.
Having extra cardstock on hand is always wise for those of us who want to use up the extras from our kits. I used Whisper White a lot. I highly recommend adding it to your next order.
If you need more alternate project ideas using this kit, be sure to check out my posts on June 20th and June 25.
