Some fun, new products from the January-June Mini Catalog are being released early to be available to all on November 3rd. I was looking around on Pinterest for inspiration and came across a card by Patty Bennett. She used a long piece of Ornate Garden Designer Paper folded in 3 places to make an accordion style fun fold card. So I clicked on the pinned idea and it took me to her blog post where she shared how versatile this basic fold can be. I was reminded with one of her variations that I HAD indeed used this same fold in past cards I’ve made, too.
Patty showed that you can get four card variations from that folded designer paper, but I thought of one more. And I just showed these variations live on YouTube about an hour ago. (I used the Christmastime is Here Designer Paper, the Butterfly Wishes Stamp Set, the Sweetest Borders Dies, and All The Trimmings Ribbon, and the Wonderful Gems for the first card. And I used the Healing Hugs Stamp Set and Ornate Borders Dies for the second one.) And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video by clicking here (or you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog post), scroll through the close-up photos that follow, check out the measurements & products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.

I recently received this beautiful card from my friend Cheryl Lee. She made it with several products from the Forever Greenery Suite and the “thank you” image from the Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set (a retired stamp set).
I loved the look and the layout so much that I recreated it and made a couple navy and white versions by substituting in a few products from the Boho Indigo Medley. This is the first one. And below the directions is the second one. I’d love to know which one appeals to you more. I made the one with the gray circle first. But after making the second one with the white circle, I think that one is my favorite.
Here are the details if you wish to make one (or both) of these.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements…
Night of Navy Cardstock
5-1/2″ x 7-1/2″ scored parallel to short end at 4-1/4″
Scraps for die-cutting a couple branch pieces
Misty Moonlight Cardstock
Scrap for die-cutting a branch piece
Boho Indigo Designer Paper
1-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
Whisper White Cardstock
2-3/4″ x 5-1/4″
Outer cardstock layer (Smoky Slate or Whisper White Cardstock)
3″ x 5-1/2″
Circular piece (Smoky Slate or Whisper White Cardstock)
Scrap for die-cutting 2-3/8″ diameter Stitched Shapes circle
Forever Trim (Gold Metallic Trim)
6″
Directions…
Emboss the outer cardstock layer with the Greenery Embossing Folder. Then die-cut the branch pieces with the dies in the Boho Indigo Medley and the stitched circular sentiment piece.
Stamp the sentiment on the circular piece. Then adhere the Gold Hoop with Fine Tip Glue. Set aside to dry.
Stamp the inside image on the 2-3/4″ x 5-1/4″ Whisper White piece. (I first stamped on scrap paper and then onto the cardstock. This way I got a lighter shade of blue.)
Attach the rectangular layers to the Night of Navy card base.
After the Fine Tip Glue is dry, flip the sentiment circle over and add a bit of Seal Adhesive behind that upper left area. Add a leaf piece from the Forever Gold Laser Cut Paper and the two blue die-cut branch pieces. Then place quite a few Dimensionals across the back of the left portion of that circle securing those embellishments and attaching this focal point to the front of the card.
Use Glue Dots to add the horizonal navy branch and the gold bow.
Embellish with Gold Glitter Enamel Dots or the flowers from the medley.
Thanks for visiting! Tomorrow I’ll be sharing lots of other cards I’ve been give recently.

Once I start creating with a suite of products (or a certain fold), I have a hard time putting it aside. Today’s cards are more flap fold cards like the ones I shared on August 19th and August 20th. But they are made with the designer papers, stamps and ribbons from the Playing with Patterns Suite – the suite that is featured in the latest All Star Tutorial (that you can earn this month or purchase), that I used to make my Halloween treat containers in the All Star blog hop in my September 3rd post, and that Tricia Josephs created with in her Showcase Stamper projects that I shared on August 2nd.
Below are my Playing with Patterns flap fold birthday cards – a little different than the other two flap folds I’ve shared in that these are positioned in landscape format.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.

Directions:
Click here to see the flap fold cards I shared on August 19th (and to watch the how-to video and tips for preparing the card base and adding the designer paper).
Stamp and punch the sentiment circle piece. Stamp the 4″ x 5-1/2″ Whisper White piece.
Attach the 2″ ribbon pieces to the 4″ x 5-1/2″ Whisper White piece (coming out from behind the upper right corner), and attach to the inside of the card.
Trim the ribbon ends and add the Resin Dots.
Add the circle sentiment piece so it is positioned under the flaps as shown when the card is closed.
Then tie on the larger piece of ribbon and present to someone on their special day.
Here is the Purple Posy/Night of Navy version…my second favorite.
Measurements…
Night of Navy Cardstock

OH! Here is what the flip side of the open card looks like. Notice that I stamped the fun sparkle image at the top of the circle sentiment piece. You don’t see this when the card is closed. Sorry I forgot to mention that above.
And here is the Calypso Coral version. I did the ribbon a bit differently on this one because I wanted to use the thin Night of Navy Ribbon in that combo pack, but it was to flimsy to tie the card shut on its own. I’m not sure I’m a fan of how I used it. But oh well. What do you think?
Measurements…
Calypso Coral Cardstock
5-1/2” x 11” scored parallel to the short end at 5-1/2” then scored again at 1-3/4” from one end and 1-1/4” from the other end

STAMPIN’ CUT & EMBOSS MACHINES You’ll see the new Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machines on pages 170-172 in the new 20-21 Annual Catalog. They weren’t quite ready with the launch of this publication. There are still some COVID-19-related delays with the mini machine. But the larger Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine will be available September 1st! The machine is only available to demonstrators right now. But if you can’t wait until September 1st, you can get this $120 machine and another $5 item (like Rhinestones) in your Starter kit order in August and pay only $99!

My project idea that I’m sharing today is Paper Wallet Gift Card Holder. I remember making these years ago. And then my team members, Nancy and Kayla shared an adorable one on their blog last spring. So I’ve had it in my head to do one ever since. Well…I ended up making several because they were so easy. And then I ended up making one for each of my stamping club members! (These five are mine to keep.)
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store. And if you live in the USA and shop with me you will receive the August tutorial bundle FREE with your $50+ order!
Measurements…

1″ x 7-1/2″
Coordinating Colored Cardstock (I used Crumb Cake, Seaside Spray, and Gray Granite)
2-3/4″ x 4″
1/2″ x 5-1/2″
Foil Sheets (I used Silver and Champagne)
Scraps for die-cutting and stamping the scallop circle and the 6-sided label pieces
In Good Taste Designer Paper
Two pieces that are 2-3/4″ x 4″
Two pieces that are 1-3/4″ x 4″
Flowers for Every Season Ribbon (Misty Moonlight/silver Baker’s Twine)
Two pieces that are 6″ each
It might help to watch Nancy and Kayla’s how-to video. Click here to see it. But I also have some written directions below these photos for the ones I made. Here is what one of the wallets looks like closed.
This is the inside.
And this is the back view.
Directions…
Fold the Basic Black base piece. Pinch the two one-inch wide sections together and secure with a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive positioned super close the 5″ score line. Punch the slot for the gift card by bringing the Classic Label Punch only halfway in along the 6″ fold.
Add designer paper to the back and inside areas.
Die-cut the foil sheet pieces and stamp with feather and sentiment. Stamp the feather on the 2-3/4″ x 4″ cardstock piece and attach to the inside bottom section.
Tie bows in each piece of twine.
Add the foil sentiment piece and one of the twine bows.
Close the wallet, wrap the Basic Black belly band, and secure with Seal+. Be sure that the belly band can slide off and on.
Wrap and adhere the coordinating cardstock strip around the belly band with the ends meeting in the front. Add a couple Dimensionals to hold those ends. Then add the foil scallop circle piece and the bow.
Then just insert a gift card, add a note, and give it to a friend or loved on.
Here are the four others close up.
I hope you enjoyed this fun fold gift card holder and are now inspired to give it a go!
