My July 2020 Summer Nights Paper Pumpkin kit arrived a couple days ago! This kit is all about creating a fun summer night’s celebration. I’m in love with the evening sky designs on the post cards. And the die-cut tealight bags are so much fun!
This fantastic, all-inclusive, monthly subscription kit contained the supplies shown below to make nine postcard-style cards (5-1/4″ x 4″) with envelopes and nine die-cut tealight bags.
Plus this month subscribers have the opportunity to purchase the Summer Nights Add-On (from the online store) which includes 24 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ card bases and envelopes in coordinating designs so you can use the leftover kit supplies and expand the creative experience. The designs on these Summer Nights Add-On cards/envelopes are slightly different than those on the postcards. And so these give you even more summer evening sky imagery to create with! If you decide to assemble the kit as is, you will have LOTS of extras leftover. So these extras would be great to pair up with those add-on cards!
But I don’t assemble my kits as is. I like to think outside the box…see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards, scrapbook pages and more. So I paired up the extra items in the product list at the bottom of this post to the above kit contents and created my alternate projects that I’m sharing with you today:

I shared some cards on Monday that were based on a sketch challenge layout. Several in my Stampers With ART community participated in creating cards based on this challenge, and I shared a few of those cards that day along with a couple cards I also created with the Playful Pets Designer Paper using the sketch as inspiration.
Today I am sharing a few more cards I made based on that sketch. And I made them with a couple products from the Flowers for Every Season Suite: the Memories & More Cards and the Memories & More Cards/Envelopes. I also used a sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set stamped on cardstock punched with the Tailored Tag Punch and used these as my June birthday cards.
I love this Suite. The products are beautiful, but the main colors highlight the new 2020-22 In Colors: Just Jade, Bumblebee, Misty Moonlight, Cinnamon Cider, and Magenta Madness.

Basic Black Cardstock
3-1/8″ x 4-1/8″

Whisper White Cardstock
Scrap for stamping and punching sentiment piece
Memories and More card
3″ x 4″ card cut into three 1-1/4″ x 3″ pieces and one 1/4″ x 3″ piece
Directions…
Cut the Memories and More 3″ x 4″ card into strips and adhere to the Basic Black cardstock. Add the top and bottom one first. Then add the middle one centering it. Add this to the front of the card base.
Stamp and punch the sentiment piece. Add this to the front of the card with Dimensionals. Embellish with a Rhinestone.
Stamp the inside of the card and add the layered strips underneath to finish off the card.

My friend Joy challenged me to figure out the pattern for a candy dispenser she had seen online shared on line here byKelleigh Ratzlaff Designs. So being a person who always loves a good visual and math challenge, I took her up on it. I revised the design a bit to secure the opening flap – make it stronger. And then I made a few containers. I actually shared this pattern first with an exclusive design for my personal Paper Pumpkin subscribers that purchased the May 2020 kit. And because this 9”x 8-1/2” sheet of cardstock turned into an adorable 2” x 2” x 3” candy dispenser box was so easy to make, I decided I needed to make more with the Whale of a Time Suite of products.
I then shared how to make these dispensers during my latest Online Paper Crafting Class on Facebook this past Wednesday. I uploaded the recording of this class onto my YouTube channel (since I know not everyone is ON Facebook) and shared it here in my blog post. There are five new colors that just debuted in the 2020-21 Annual Catalog: Bumblebee, Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, Magenta Madness, and Misty Moonlight.
I wanted each member of my Stampers With ART Community to receive supplies to make a card featuring one of these new colors. So I used the new Flowers for Every Season Designer Paper and some coordinating products, prepared 150 packets, and sent them off in the mail.
Then during our recent online team event, I shared with them how to make the following fun fold cards as one of their team make-n-take projects.
(Ignore the fact that the Magenta Madness card doesn’t have enamel dots. I ran out after sending all those supplies to my team members. LOL)
Then cut the 1″ x 6″ strips to make them fit in the inside left side of the card. I cut 1-3/4″ from the top of the 2020-22 In Color Designer Paper strip and just under 2-3/4″ from the bottom of the Flowers For Every Season Designer Paper strip. These I placed in the middle section. Then I placed the remaining strips below and above so that they were not interfering with folding the card. And I trimmed off any excess.
Each team member used their own stamp set for the sentiment of their card. The stamp sets I used for my samples are in the product list below.
