MY ONLINE PAPER CRAFTERS CLUB IS LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBERS We are looking for more to join our online Paper Crafters club. Last year Stampin’ Up! released a project kit called Christmas Countdown. And I was thrilled when it came back this fall in the August-December Mini Catalog. The kit includes a sturdy white box of 25 mini drawers, the decorative pre-cut papers and stickers to add to the white drawer fronts, and directions for assembling as shown.
But as you know from ideas shared last year (click here and here), you can decorate these drawers in so many other ways.
AND because the drawers are double-sided, you can decorate one project kit TWICE!
Today I’m sharing how I combined it with the Poinsettia Place Designer Paper, the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Vellum, and the Beaded Pearls – products from the Poinsettia Place Suite.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Directions (with Measurements)…
The box itself measures 11-3/16″ x 11-3/16″ x 2-3/16″. And each drawer measures 2-1/8″ x 2-1/8″ x 2-1/16″. So I cut my designer paper pieces to 2″ x 2″.
Then I used the smallest of the Layering Circles Dies and cut a notch almost 1/2″ down. Tip…cut one that lines up great and then use that as a template for cutting the rest. I stacked my template one on top of 3 other paper, put the die in place, then cut them all at once.
After cutting the 2″ x 2″ panels, cut the Plush Poinsettias. Attach these to the drawer panels using Glue Dots in the centers of the flowers. Trim off the excess. Then add the excess petal pieces to the adjacent panels using sponged on Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Embellish with Beaded Pearls and Pearls.
Then fill the drawers with whatever suits your fancy.
I think I may use mine as a game to make our Christmas Eve a little more fun this year since we more than likely won’t be able to celebrate with the relatives because of the pandemic. My plan is to gather up pairs of treats/candy and fill the drawers randomly one item in each drawer. Then I’ll have my boys and husband play the matching game to see how well they can find matching pairs. They’ll get to keep the pairs they find. But in the end everyone will win, because I’ll bring out even more treats to eat so no one feels like someone else got more candy.
Lovin’ this Poinsettia Place designer paper? You may want to wait to purchase it until October when several packs of select designer series paper go on sale for 15% off.

On Wednesday, September 16, I shared in my YouTube Live how to take the same folded piece of 5-1/4″ x 12″ designer paper and create five different card folds.
I didn’t have finished samples of four of those five cards at the time. But I’ve completed them now, and I’m excited to show them to you!
Here is the one that opens like a traditional card. I used the Healing Hugs Stamp Set like I had for one of the cards I shared Wednesday. Refer to that post if you wish to shop for products I used so you can recreate this card. The only extra product I added was the pack of Gold Foil Sheets. And that product is listed and linked to my online store at the bottom of this post.
The outside sentiment piece measures 1-7/8″ x 2-1/2″ with a 2-1/8″ x 2-3/4″ Gold Foil Layer underneath. The inside sentiment piece measures 2-1/2″ x 3-3/4″ with a 2-3/4″ x 4″ Gold Foil Layer underneath. The ribbon measures 19″.
These other three are created using the supplies listed at the bottom of this post. They are all Christmas cards featuring the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set.
This one is the double-pocket card. I actually DID end up using Tear & Tape Adhesive to secure the sides even though in my video I mention that you can just use the ribbon to hold it shut. Nah…I changed my mind. I wanted a little more stability.
The larger insert measures 3-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ with a 3-3/8″ x 4-1/8″ Whisper White layer on top. The smaller insert is 2-5/8″ x 3-3/4″ with a 2-1/2″ x 3-5/8″ Whisper White layer on top. The ribbon measures 19″ and as I shared in the video is colored with the Dark Cherry Cobbler Blends Marker.
This one is the is the card that has a first and then a second opening (sort of like a 1-page book ?).
The front has a 1/4″ x 5-1/4″ strip of Gold Foil.
The 1-7/8″ x 4-1/4″ Whisper White piece has a floral image from the designer paper cut out and added to it.
The second white layer is 2-7/8″ x 4-1/4″.
And this last card is the z-fold card.
The wider ribbon is colored with a Dark Soft Suede Blends Marker. The vertical piece measures 6″ and the ends are tucked in between the folded designer paper. The bow is from a 8″ piece of ribbon. The smaller two bows are each made from 4″ pieces of ribbon.
The largest die-cut white layer is 2-5/8″ wide, the second largest is just under 2-3/8″ wide, and the smallest is 2″ wide. These are all die-cut with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.
FYI…This Christmastime is Here Designer Paper is hard to find in the online store. And it’s not in any of the catalogs. It was offered last year as an online “while supplies last” only special offer item. So be sure to click on the link below which will bring you right to it. Or do a search for “Christmastime” with a capital C or for 152154 which is its order number. But yes, currently it is not under the category of Patterned Paper or Specialty Paper.
My boys keep growing! What? LOL When I first started blogging in 2013, they seemed like babies. They won’t let me call them my babies anymore. My goodness, yes. They are young men. Nick is now in 9th grade – a freshman in high school and just days away from turning 15. Luke is an 8th grader and now 13-1/2. They are ready for this pandemic to be done (as are all of us). But they let me take a first week of school photo before they had to head back inside to start their distant learning.
I had so much fun finishing up these fun fold cards. I hope they gave you some creative inspiration! Which one was your favorite of all the folds?

I was looking around on Pinterest for inspiration and came across a card by Patty Bennett. She used a long piece of Ornate Garden Designer Paper folded in 3 places to make an accordion style fun fold card. So I clicked on the pinned idea and it took me to her blog post where she shared how versatile this basic fold can be. I was reminded with one of her variations that I HAD indeed used this same fold in past cards I’ve made, too.
Patty showed that you can get four card variations from that folded designer paper, but I thought of one more. And I just showed these variations live on YouTube about an hour ago. (I used the Christmastime is Here Designer Paper, the Butterfly Wishes Stamp Set, the Sweetest Borders Dies, and All The Trimmings Ribbon, and the Wonderful Gems for the first card. And I used the Healing Hugs Stamp Set and Ornate Borders Dies for the second one.) And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video by clicking here (or you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog post), scroll through the close-up photos that follow, check out the measurements & products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.

Friend and fellow demonstrator, Marciene Ingram gave me a birthday card that I fell in love with. She said she got the idea for the fold from Pinterest. And after a bit of investigating, I discovered that it was a card from Jackie Bolhuis that she CASEd. I was so excited with the way it was made that I made several versions of this fun-fold since using lots of other product.
I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago how to make some beautiful versions of this “flap fold” card with products from the Snowflake Splendor Suite in the Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalog: Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set, So Many Snowflakes Dies, Snowflake Splendor Designer Paper, Winter Snow Embossing Folder, Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems, and Snowflake Splendor Ribbon. Do you remember a couple years back when I shared my Twelve Months of HOME Class and some additional interchangeable pieces for it on 12/1/18 and on 12/3/18? Well, I’ve got a couple more pieces that I made using some of the upcoming new product so I could not only give you a taste of some of the fun goodies coming but also update my framed HOME project at the same time.
I die-cut my shape using the smallest label die, stamped the images in VersaMark ink, then heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After that I colored select areas with Stampin’ Blends Markers and embellished with a few Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
I die-cut my bell twice using the largest die (from Silver Foil and from Shaded Spruce Cardstock), punched my 2″ Circle from the Black Glitter Paper, and then added Poppy Parade scraps to the back side of the silver bell to cover the berries.
Next I traded out the silver leaves for Shaded Spruce leaves,…
…secured the leaves in place by adding Dimensionals on the back side, attached the bell to the Black Glitter Paper circle, then added the bow.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
These pieces are interchangeable with the help of Velcro Dots.
There is of course SOOooo much more in this upcoming catalog. But I hope you enjoyed these peeks. Thanks for stopping by today!
