I’m keeping it short and simple today. But I’m still bringing to you some creative inspiration by sharing a few of my handmade Christmas cards. I couldn’t share them all, but I’m sharing several that are made with current products or the latest Paper Pumpkin kits. Those that made each card are mentioned in the watermarks of the photos.
Hoping you are enjoying this magical season. Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! Happy Kwanzaa! Happy Holidays!!
❤️~Rachel

If you are celebrating upcoming holidays, you may be in the midst of wrapping gifts. And sometimes it’s nice to fashion a very special gift box and tag for that certain someone. Though I’m sharing this creative idea around Christmas time, this box & tag combo would be great for Valentine’s Day or just to give to that special person at any time to let them know how grateful you are for them.
Here are the details for this box that measures approximately 7″ x 9-1/4″ x 3/4″ when assembled.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of extra products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements…
Basic Black Cardstock
10-3/4″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 3/4″ on all four sides
Scrap for die-cutting large star
Christmastime is Here Specialty Designer Paper
10-5/16″ x 8-1/16″ (a little over 10-1/4″ x a little over 8″) scored at 1/2″ on all four sides
Gold Foil Sheets
Scrap for die-cutting starry swirl
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
Scrap for die-cutting large star
Whisper White Cardstock
Scrap for stamping and punching sentiment circle
Black Satin Ribbon
33″
Directions…
After cutting and scoring box base and box top pieces, trim in once on all four corners to make tabs, add Tear & Tape (as shown), fold on score lines, and connect tabs.
Add the ribbon and tie in a bow.
Die-cut the Basic Black star, the Cherry Cobbler star, and the Gold Foil starry swirl. Pop out the little stars.
Stamp the sentiment on the Whisper White scrap. Then punch it out.
Layer the Cherry Cobbler star onto the Gold Foil swirl. Then layer this onto the Basic Black. Add the sentiment circle with Dimensionals. Then add the small the gold stars here and there with Glue Dots.
Then just add the tag to the top of the box.

I had to play around with that beautiful Wrapped in Plaid Designer Paper one more time. This is the latest card I made.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of extra products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements…
Whisper White Thick Cardstock
4-1/4” x 11″ scored parallel to the short side at 5-1/2”
4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″
Wrapped In Plaid Designer Paper
2″ x 3-7/8″
Gold Foil Sheets
1/4″ x 4-1/2″ (two strips)
Directions…
Measure and mark 1-3/4″ up from the bottom left corner and 1-3/4″ down from the top right corner of the 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ Whisper White piece. Cut diagonally from mark to mark using Trimmer.
Adhere the Gold Foil strips just inside the diagonal edge on each piece using SNAIL.
Die-cut each piece with the 4″ x 2-5/8″ Stitched Rectangle Die to get the stitched look on the straight edges. Stamp the sentiment above the gold strip on the one that will be on top.
Adhere the designer paper on the card front with SNAIL so it is centered.
Add the top stitched piece and the bottom stitched piece using Dimensionals.
Finish with a couple rhinestones.
Super easy. And what fun results! I’m excited to share tomorrow during my Online Paper Crafting Class. I hope you can join me live on Facebook at 11:00 AM Central Time!

Do you need a last minute holiday card idea? If you have the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley, or you feel like ordering it now and either rushing your order or sending your cards out closer to the end of December, I have a card to share with you today that is easy to make and is OH SOOOooo peaceful and pretty. (Gosh, you could even get a head start on next year’s cards.) A big thank you to Amy Rich for the inspiration.
And here is the card I made using this medley, the Stitched Shapes Dies, the Everyday Label Punch, some cardstock, the Night of Navy ink, and a sponge.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of extra products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements…
Night of Navy Cardstock
4-1/4” x 11″ scored parallel to the short side at 5-1/2”
Whisper White Cardstock
3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ (for the inside)
2-7/8″ x 4-1/8″
1″ x 3-1/2″
Scrap for stamping and punching sentiment piece
Gold Foil Sheets
Scrap for die-cutting stitched circle piece
White and gold-foiled star card from the kit
2-3/4″ x 4″
Directions…
Stamp the sentiment. Punch it out so that the sentiment is positioned more towards one end of the punch.
Then insert the punched sentiment and punch again to shorten it up and get rid of the extra white space.
Die-cut the stitched circle. Then layer the sentiment piece onto the stitched circle using a Dimensional.
Pounce the dust from the Embossing Buddy onto the back of the reindeer sticker to “get rid of” the stickiness.
Add Night of Navy ink to the white and gold-foiled star card from the kit by moving an inked up sponge in a circular motion. Starting at the top and moving down will help to produce that gradual dark to light look since the ink lessens from the sponge the longer you use it before re-inking. The foiled stars will resist the ink, but it will help to wipe the surface with a tissue afterwards to get rid of any ink that is sitting on top of the foiled areas. Layer the gold-foiled star paper onto the 2-7/8″ x 4-1/8″ Whisper White.
Tear along one long edge of the 1″ x 3-1/2″ Whisper White piece to make a snowy ground.
Adhere the 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ Whisper White piece centered on the inside with SNAIL.
Adhere the sponged star layer on the front with SNAIL.
Adhere the snowy ground with Dimensionals.
Adhere the reindeer with Dimensionals.
Adhere the layered sentiment piece with SNAIL.
Stick on a few star embellishments from the medley.
I loved this card so much that I made it into some team recognition cards with a demonstrator-only stamp set from years back for the sentiment.
The Most Wonderful Time Product Medley will go into “hibernation” until next fall. So you may want to purchase it before it disappears for awhile on January 3.

I’m so excited to share with you how I turned the supplies from the Joy of Giving Tag Kit into 50 quick-to-assemble Christmas cards!
This all-inclusive kit comes with 10 of several pieces and directions to make 30 gift tags (10 of 3 designs).
But I simply reallocated those pieces. Then I added a few extra items like the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Paper, coordinating cardstock and inks, Gold Glitter Enamel Dots, and envelopes so I could make some adorable but super quick holiday cards for the demonstrators in my Stampers With ART group!
Then on Wednesday during my Online Paper Crafting Class on Facebook, I shared how easy these were to make. I uploaded the recorded version of my Facebook Live video to my YouTube channel (since I know not everyone is ON Facebook). And then I was able to share it here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video (you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog), scroll through the close-up photos, check out the products list below the photos, and then let me know if you have any questions.
I hope you enjoyed what I shared in this video. Below are measurements, close-up photos, and a product list for the cards that I demonstrated.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
There are three items that are on the Closeout list: The Joy of Giving Tag Kit, the Wrapped in Plaid Specialty Designer Paper and the Shaded Spruce/Gold Striped Ribbon. Supplies are limited and popular items will sell out quickly. The closeout ends on January 2. Click here and scroll down for more information.
I used my full-size Poppy Parade ink pad, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, and Clear Blocks. These items are listed below in the Product List. But they are not necessary to have since the Joy of Giving Tag Kit includes Poppy Parade ink, adhesives, and a block.
Measurements for each card…
Wrapped In Plaid Specialty Designer Series Paper
1-1/2” x 5-1/2” strip for each card
Whisper White Thick, Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, or Shaded Spruce Cardstock
4-1/4” x 11” scored parallel to short end at 5-1/2” for each card
Here are close-up photos of my five cards.
And these are all the cards I made for my demonstrators. I used 2-1/2 kits.
Thanks for visiting!

Two more ideas for all of you who received the Winter Gifts November 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit
I love the challenge each month of coming up with my final card design (a card for 5 of my lucky subscribers) using my leftovers from what I’ve already created with my kit. (And as you may guess from what I’ve made and shared already on November 23 and November 28, there weren’t that many supplies left over.) PLUS there is of course the added challenge that I need to make 6 identical cards from these leftovers (1 for me and 5 for those subscribers). But I did it!
My valentine card is definitely “outside the box” – not Christmas-themed at all as one would expect with this kit. I used a couple new products that will be made available to all come January 3… products debuting in the 2020 Spring Catalog: The Heart Punch Pack and the Heart Doilies. Here are the details if you wish to recreate this card.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of extra products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements…
Whisper White Thick Cardstock
4-1/4” x 11″ scored parallel to the short side at 5-1/2”
Early Espresso Cardstock
4-1/8” x 5-3/8″
Poppy Parade Cardstock
Scrap for punching the scalloped heart and the small heart
Sahara Sand Cardstock
3/8″ x 2-3/4″
Silver Glimmer Paper
Scrap for punching the large heart
Kit sled
For punching the large heart and the small heart
Kit silver twine
7″
Directions…
Emboss the Early Espresso Cardstock.
Punch the hearts.
Trim up the bottom end of the Silver Glimmer Paper heart (as shown). Then use Glue Dots (from the Online Store as they are thicker) to add the Glimmer Paper heart to the Heart Doily. You’ll want to see the silver sparkle show through the punched holes in the Heart Doily.
Stamp your sentiment to the right on the Sahara Sand Cardstock strip. Either mask the stamp to ink up only the “with love” portion or cut your stamp before inking.
Tie a bow with the twine.
Layer the woodgrain heart onto the Poppy Parade scalloped heart.
Assemble your card by adding the doily first and then the sentiment strip so the right edge is flush with the right edge of the Early Espresso layer. Continue to use SNAIL Adhesive and add this Early Espresso layer to the Whisper White card base.
Now add the layered woodgrain heart with Dimensionals from the kit and the silver twine bow and little hearts with Glue Dots from the kit.
Finally adhere a large silver sequin from the kit to the center of the O in LOVE.
Product List… things you might need/want in addition to the November 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit to make this card
