I’ve had a lot of fun playing around with this new suite. Here are two cards that I thought I’d share today. Each one has slightly different steps when it comes to decorating. But the basic measurements are the same.
Basic Measurements…
Basic Black Cardstock
4-1/4″ x 5-1/2”
World of Good Designer Paper
4″ x 5-1/4″
Whisper White Cardstock (for the inside)
1-5/8″ x 3-7/8″
Coordinating Cardstock (Cinnamon Cider or Early Espresso)
2-5/8″ x 11″ scored parallel to the short end at 5-1/2″
Here are more details for the light brown card.
Additional Measurements for the tag…
Whisper White Cardstock
3/4″ x 3-3/4″
Vellum Cardstock
1″ x 4-1/8″
Tips…
Stamp the hemisphere images randomly on the Cinnamon Cider flap with VersaMark ink. Then stamp the speckles image randomly with Tuxedo Black ink.
Assemble the basic layers of the card.
Punch the tag pieces. Emboss the Vellum one and stamp the Whisper White one with Tuxedo Black ink. Adhere together and adhere to the flap.
Add the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.
Here are more details for the dark brown card.
Additional Measurements for the tag…
Whisper White Cardstock
1″ x 3-7/8″
Vellum Cardstock
1″ x 3-1/2″
Tips…
Stamp the globe base and the hemisphere image on the Early Espresso flap with Early Espresso ink. Then dip an Aqua Painter brush into a tiny puddle of watered-down Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint…hold the brush end over the Early Espresso flap piece (maybe inside a shallow cardboard box)…and tap the end of the Aqua Painter firmly to add speckles randomly. Allow to dry
Assemble the basic layers of the card.
Punch the tag pieces. Emboss the Vellum one and stamp the Whisper White one with Tuxedo Black ink. Adhere together and adhere to the flap.
Color a few Gold Glitter Enamel Dots with the Dark Basic Black Blends Marker and add to the card.
I hope I inspired your creativity today.

Welcome to our monthly “A Paper Pumpkin Thing” blog hop! See what I have to share. Then check out all the other blogs in the hop to see additional creative alternate paper crafting project ideas that we each came up with using the contents of the May 2020 A Kit In ColorPaper Pumpkin kit. To follow the hop and see other creative project ideas, simply scroll down and click on the names of other hop participants. (If you are receiving this blog post by email, click HERE to see the hop.)
Here is a photo of the intended projects from this month’s kit: 8 full-size (5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″) and 4 note card size (5″ x 3-1/2″) cards – 4 of 3 kinds.
I’ve already shared a few other alternate projects using the contents of this kit on May 20th.
Today I have a fun automobile “Happy Birthday” note card and a coordinating scrapbook page to share.
Products I used for these projects… See below for a complete list of extra products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.
You may have seen a peek at the note card in Paper Pumpkin’s monthly newsletter that was shared yesterday. Well here are the details on how to make it. ?
First I cut Balmy Blue and Basic Black Cardstock scraps with these Garage Gears Dies: four of the gear that is circled (save two for the scrapbook page) and one of the “ovalish” shape (you’ll use half for the card and the other half for the page).
I then lined up my Balmy Blue “ovalish” shape on top of one of the medium clouds from the kit. I drew a light pencil line, cut along that line, and then cut that top piece into two to create the windows of the automobile. (You can use the other side to make a set of windows for the car on the scrapbook page.)
For each of the wheels, I carefully fussy-cut all the way around to make them smooth.
I stuck the wheels and windows on and then added a couple Gold Gilded Gems. I then used the finished automobile as a guide for stamping the road with the medium “U-shaped” stamp on the vellum piece (which also comes in the kit). I used StazOn Ink so it would dry quickly on the vellum. But I made sure to clean off my stamp right away to minimize the staining.
I attached the automobile with Dimensionals. Then I adhered this vellum layer to the note card base using adhesive hidden under the automobile.
To finish it off, I stamped the inside and added more Gilded Gems.
Making my page was similar in many ways, but I used Memento Tuxedo Ink since I wasn’t stamping directly onto vellum. Memento is water-based and cleans off the stamps better.
I started by adding my layered photo mats:
Basic Black Cardstock – three pieces that are 6″ x 4″
Vellum Cardstock – three pieces that are 6-1/4″ x 4-1/4″
After assembling the automobile, I used it as a guide and then stamped my road. On the left I stamped the large “U” first, connected the medium “U” above that, then connected that one to the small “U”. On the right I stamped the medium “U”.
For my vellum banners I placed them where I wanted them (after stamping the road), added the Gilded Gems, then with Glue Dots strategically placed under the vellum where the gems sat, I connected the vellum banners and then added them to my 12×12 Just Jade Cardstock with more hidden Glue Dots.
I added the title piece and the automobile with Dimensionals.
I hope I inspired your creativity with what I shared today!

On Monday of this week I attended a team meeting via Zoom. We were each challenged to create a card using our own products but following certain measurements and directions. And each of us ended up with different cards but with the same fun fold. I was so in love with the card I made that I changed my plans for what I was going to share during my Wednesday’s Online Paper Crafting Class on Facebook Live. (Thank you to Kelly Burkart and Carole Baumgartner for sharing this fold with me and to Connie Stewart which is where they got this fun fold idea from!)
So today I am presenting this tucked z-fold card that I demonstrated using new products debuting June 3, 2020 in the upcoming 2020-21 Annual Catalog: World of Good Specialty Designer Paper, Beautiful World Stamp Set and World Map Dies during my latest Online Paper Crafting Class on Facebook this past Wednesday.
I uploaded the recording of this class onto my YouTube channel (since I know not everyone is ON Facebook) and shared it here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video by clicking here (or you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog), scroll through the close-up photos that follow, check out the products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.
I hope you enjoyed what I shared in this video. Below are measurements, close-up photos, and a product list for this fun-fold card I demonstrated. (Click here to see the glue holder I have. Welcome to the April 2020 Maui Achievers Blog Hop!
Follow along and check out all the other blogs in the hop (click on the names of the participants in the list below my signature) so you can see some fabulous cards and projects created by other demonstrators who also earned the Stampin’ Up!® Maui incentive trip still planned so far to take place in July of 2020 (If you are receiving this blog post by email, click HERE to see the hop.)
Have you see the fantastic Music From the Heart Stamp Set that debuted in the Jan-June 2020 Catalog? I love the images and sentiments in the set, because music is HUGE in my life! I love singing and used to perform quite often, I play the piano, I practiced with other musicians when I was younger with the goal of performing for a living, and both my boys are quite musical (one has a beautiful voice and the other is quite talented with the piano and drums).
I am so grateful to Dawn Olchefske (one of Stampin’ Up!’s million dollar sales achievers) for having a hand with the designs for this stamp set. I purchased it right away, but I’ve only created and shared with it one other time when I made and shared the Vertical Sticky Note Pad & Pen Holders on February 15th. I think I’ve just seen so many wonderful creations shared already (click here to see some of those ideas on Pinterest), that I thought…”What more can I bring to you?”
Well, I put on my thinking cap this past weekend…
There are five colors that will be leaving us soon – the 2018-20 In Colors: Blueberry Bushel, Grapefruit Grove, Lovely Lipstick, Call Me Clover and Pineapple Punch. I’d I used these colors (four of them) with this stamp set to bring to you some bold and cheerful fun-fold greeting cards. I would have made a fifth card (yes, there are a lot of possible image combinations in this stamp set!), but I didn’t have this color Grosgrain Ribbon left in my stash.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products I used for these cards linked to where you can find these items in my online store.
PDF Tutorial…Click here to access and download a direction sheet for these cards.
Measurements
Basic Black Cardstock:
4-1/4” x 5-1/2″
3” x 8-1/2” scored parallel to short side at 4-1/4”
Colored Cardstock: 2-3/4” x 4”
Whisper White Cardstock: 2-3/4” x 4”
Colored Designer Paper: Two pieces that are 1” x 4”
Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon: Two pieces that are a little over 4” each
Colored 1/8” Grosgrain Ribbon: 3” to 8”
Directions
Stamp images with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock (see examples in photo for ideas).
Add a touch of color: Call Me Clover Marker to color in heart, Grapefruit Grove Marker to color in heart, Lovely Lipstick Ink Pad for stamping little heart, or Blueberry Bushel Ink Pad to stamp 2nd generation splatter image from Waterfront Stamp Set.
Add coordinating grosgrain ribbon, and then adhere this layer to the front of the folded 3” x 8-1/2 Basic Black piece.
Attach designer paper strips to the organdy ribbon pieces so the ribbon peeks out about 1/8”. Then attach these ribbon/paper pieces to the top and bottom of the 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” Basic Black piece.
Adhere the folded 3” x 8-1/2 Basic Black piece to the center of the card, attach the coordinating 2-3/4” x 4” cardstock to the inside, and finish by embellishing the front of the card with rhinestones.
I mass produced these and have sent one to each of my Online Club Members as a thank you for their April club orders. By the way, I have a couple crafters who are ready to start club. And we just need 4 more people to join them. Let me know if you’d like to take part in my next Online Club that we are forming. You get extra perks for your monthly orders. And who doesn’t like being spoiled and feeling special?!
Here is each card close up…
Because these colors are retiring soon (the retiring products list will get posted the afternoon of April 22…in just a couple days), you’ll probably want to get your hands on inks, ink refills, cardstock, paper, etc. now if you love any of them. Because once these products are sold out, it’s very difficult to find them elsewhere.
I hope you enjoyed what I shared today. Have fun on the hop! And have a blast seeing all those inspiring ideas made by fellow trip achievers!
