I’ve already shared a few other alternate projects using the contents of this kit on May 20th.

Today I have a fun automobile “Happy Birthday” note card and a coordinating scrapbook page to share.
Products I used for these projects… See below for a complete list of extra products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.
You may have seen a peek at the note card in Paper Pumpkin’s monthly newsletter that was shared yesterday. Well here are the details on how to make it. ?
First I cut Balmy Blue and Basic Black Cardstock scraps with these Garage Gears Dies: four of the gear that is circled (save two for the scrapbook page) and one of the “ovalish” shape (you’ll use half for the card and the other half for the page).
I then lined up my Balmy Blue “ovalish” shape on top of one of the medium clouds from the kit. I drew a light pencil line, cut along that line, and then cut that top piece into two to create the windows of the automobile. (You can use the other side to make a set of windows for the car on the scrapbook page.)
For each of the wheels, I carefully fussy-cut all the way around to make them smooth.
I stuck the wheels and windows on and then added a couple Gold Gilded Gems. I then used the finished automobile as a guide for stamping the road with the medium “U-shaped” stamp on the vellum piece (which also comes in the kit). I used StazOn Ink so it would dry quickly on the vellum. But I made sure to clean off my stamp right away to minimize the staining.
I attached the automobile with Dimensionals. Then I adhered this vellum layer to the note card base using adhesive hidden under the automobile.
To finish it off, I stamped the inside and added more Gilded Gems.
Making my page was similar in many ways, but I used Memento Tuxedo Ink since I wasn’t stamping directly onto vellum. Memento is water-based and cleans off the stamps better.
I started by adding my layered photo mats:
- Basic Black Cardstock – three pieces that are 6″ x 4″
- Vellum Cardstock – three pieces that are 6-1/4″ x 4-1/4″
After assembling the automobile, I used it as a guide and then stamped my road. On the left I stamped the large “U” first, connected the medium “U” above that, then connected that one to the small “U”. On the right I stamped the medium “U”.
For my vellum banners I placed them where I wanted them (after stamping the road), added the Gilded Gems, then with Glue Dots strategically placed under the vellum where the gems sat, I connected the vellum banners and then added them to my 12×12 Just Jade Cardstock with more hidden Glue Dots.
I added the title piece and the automobile with Dimensionals.
I hope I inspired your creativity with what I shared today!

If only I had 1/10 of your creativity…I swear I would only use my powers for good!
Jeered-Louise, where does that come from?!
Brilliant…some of us see clouds, you see a car!
LOL…thanks for making me giggle! I appreciate your sweet and generous comment, Christine!
Oh Rachel, Your comments are so true. I now realize you’re right there! I feel it everyday. Navy “brat”, raised over seas–I just don’t understand the animosity, however I do feel severe training must occur within law enforcement. No one is above the law.
I’m now overly attracted to the bling and glitter but I loved your recent card with the gold layers and brown background!!! Loved the askew too!
Now, will you be having a paper share?
The birds will sing.
Hugs to you Jessie. Thank you. And I’m sorry…I’m not hosting product shares for two main reasons: 1. there are many product delays already on new products from demonstrator preorders (production and shipping delays because of COVID-19) and 2. I don’t have the help I usually have because of social distancing.
