One of the more recent card swaps that some on my Stampers With ART team members participated in was our 1-to-1 Holiday Card Swap. In this type of swap the swap cards created are mailed directly from one swapper to the other. So instead of having a big bag of swapped out cards arrive at once, they show up in the mail a little at a time making the anticipation a bit greater and the fun last a little longer. And we ALL love getting happy mail especially at this time of year.
Although I didn’t participate myself (only organized the event and assigned who would send to who), I was blessed that many of the swappers also sent me copies of their cards. So today I thought I’d share all this fun holiday card inspiration with you.
The products used in these cards all came from either the 2021 July-December Mini Catalog, the 2021-22 Annual Catalog (click here to find links to the current catalogs), or even the Eden’s Garden Collection. So that should help in case you want to recreate any card in particular. But also note that many of the mini catalog and exclusive limited time products are starting to sell out. It’s almost Christmas. So I thought it would be fun to share some festive holiday gift tag ideas today along with some tips on embossing using three different Stampin’ Up! tools: embossing folders, decorative masks, and specific detailed dies.
I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating these tags using the Wintery 3D Embossing Folders, Christmas Pinecones Dies, Adorning Designs Decorative Masks, Plenty of Patterns Decorative Masks, and Beautiful Leaves Dies. So I thought I’d share a couple more projects that I put together with some of my leftovers from last month’s Gifts Galore kit. This first one is a simple scrapbook page.
I used the Pine Tree Punch from another tree that I had cut incorrectly for another project to get that mini tree in the title piece. The title piece is up on Dimensionals (that aren’t interfering with the photos) and so is the mini tree. Additional cardstock used: Evening Evergreen, Poppy Parade, Basic Black (to represent photos OR to use as added photo mats), and Goil Foil through the middle.

My second idea is Balcony Fold Card. It’s put together in a similar fashion as the card I shared in my last post on Wednesday, December 8th. Because it’s a bit more elaborate than the scrapbook page above, I’m going to suggest you watch my how-to video from Wednesday (if you haven’t already) and then just follow the extra tips below for this version.

All the white pieces above have an extra 1/2″ of height to allow for tearing.
I cut my snowman just short of 5-1/2″ tall. Then I cut that bottom piece in half and scored each of those 1/2″ up from the bottom. These two pieces became the side extensions to make the snowman base 5-1/2″.
This gave me the “back balcony” layer.
Hopefully the rest makes sense by looking at it. Again be sure you watch my how-to video from Wednesday so you know how to add the balcony layers and belly band.

On Wednesday during my YouTube Live Online Paper Crafting Class I share how to make a couple Gift Bag Pop-Up cards…one with the Gingerbread & Peppermint Suite of products and one with the Ever Eden limited-time products and the Eden’s Garden Stamp Set.
But it was a LOT of information for one blog post. So Wednesday I shared the photos, measurements, and supplies for the Gingerbread & Peppermint version and today I’m sharing that information for the Eden’s Garden version.

I had to hurry a bit to get through this second card in the video and ended up putting my magnets in the wrong place. So here is a photo that should help you if you are planning to go with this version of the card base fold. I peeled apart the card I had demonstrated in the video to fix it. Hahaha! You can see by the ruler markings that one magnet is 1-1/2″ from the score line (about 1-3/4″ from the outer edge) and the other is 2-1/2″ from the score line (about 3/4″ from the outer edge).

The card I’m sharing today features the stunning Peaceful Place Suite of products from the July-Dec 2021 Mini Catalog and is assembled to show off both sides of the beautiful designer paper. You’ve possibly seen me share this type of card before on August 6, 2021, July 21, 2021, and even back on July 15, 2018. But it’s a favorite of mine because it’s such an easy way to make the front and the inside decorative.

Measurements
Evening Evergreen Cardstock
5-1/2” x 5-1/4” scored parallel to the long side at 4-1/4”
Basic Black Cardstock
Scrap for punching sentiment layer
Basic White Cardstock
4” x 5-1/2”
Scrap for stamping & punching sentiment piece
Peaceful Place Designer Paper
4” x 5-1/4”
Glittered Organdy Ribbon
16”
Directions
Stamp sentiment in black ink and punch the sentiment piece leaving room for the tree. The tree is a super light version of Evening Evergreen. So stamp off twice on scrap paper before stamping on the white cardstock.
Punch this shape again from Basic Black cardstock. Cut in half horizontally. Layer on the back of the white sentiment piece.
Fold the card base piece on the score line and reinforce the fold using the Bone Folder.
Stamp and adhere the 4” x 5-1/2” layer so it’s centered in the “inside” of the card. The snowflakes are a super light version of Evening Evergreen. So stamp off 2 or 3 times on scrap paper before stamping on the white.
Now add adhesive under the 1″ wide area, place the designer paper so that it is centered on the “inside” of the card over the white layer, and press the 1″ wide area down to stick it to the designer paper.
Wrap the ribbon around and tie in a knot.
Add the sentiment layered piece with Dimensionals.
And finish with a couple Evening Evergreen In Color Jewels.
