Happy Thanksgiving! It’s that time of the month again…when I post my Paper Pumpkin video of alternate project ideas. This month I got my kit a little later than usual. So instead of two separate blog posts, I’m placing my initial introduction of the kit with the video in today’s post as part of the monthly blog hop I’m in.

Mossy Meadow Cardstock
4-1/4” x 5-1/2”
Scrap for punching the deer
Mint Macaron Cardstock
2-7/8” x 5-3/4” scored 1″ in from the top
Basic White Cardstock
2-3/4” x 2-3/4” torn in half to make the snowy ground layers
2-3/4″ x 1″ torn along one long edge
2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ for inside panel
Scrap for stamping and punching sentiment
Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
Scrap for punching the nose
Whimsy & Wonder Designer Paper
4” x 5-1/4″
Two pieces that are 1/2″ x 2-3/4″
Silver Specialty Paper
Scrap for punching antlers
Directions
Cut, tear and punch all the pieces according to the measurements above.
Stamp the sentiments.
Assemble the deer.
Fold the Mint Macaron Cardstock over the top edge of the Mossy Meadow Cardstock card base and adhere. Use Bone Folder to reinforce the fold.
Add the larger sentiment layer and a strip of designer paper to the inside flap. Add the larger designer paper to the Mossy Meadow base piece.
Close the card and add the snow layers at the bottom and the other torn white piece and designer paper strip at the top.
Use Dimensionals to add the deer.
It’s a quick and festive one if you are still looking for a design you can recreate for your holiday cards.

If you haven’t made your Christmas cards yet or you are looking for ideas for another year, this is one that I had a fun time creating. It’s based on a fold from one of my team swaps back in August from Michelle Andrade. (Click here and scroll to the bottom to see her card.) I love how she folded a 1/2 sheet of cardstock to make the front layer.
I used the Frosted Gingerbread Stamp Sets, Gingerbread Dies, and Gingerbread & Peppermint Designer Paper. But did you notice that my frosted cookie is not gingerbread? Just by changing the color of the cookie base piece, you can dictate the flavor of your cookies. So if you want to make a frosted sugar cookie, maybe use So Saffron for your cardstock. (The cooling rack and spatula are from the coordinating Memories & More Card Pack. I just added them in the photo because they are so cute. But you don’t need this product to make the card.)

Real Red Cardstock
4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
Scraps for die-cutting candy swirls
Granny Apple Green Cardstock
4-1/4” x 11″ scored parallel to short side at 4-1/4”, 7″ and 9-3/4″
Gingerbread & Peppermint Designer Paper
1-1/4” x 4”
1″ x 4″
Basic White Cardstock
4” x 4”
3/4″ x 3-1/2″
Small scraps for die-cutting candy circles
Larger scrap for die-cutting frosting
Early Espresso Cardstock
Scrap for die-cutting cookie
Ombré Specialty Paper (red)
Two matching pieces that are 1/2” x 4”
Directions
Die-cut the chocolate cookie and the candy circles. Add Adhesive Sheets to the back side of the larger white scrap and the red scraps. Die-cut the candy swirls and cookie frosting pieces. Then layer all these pieces to form the full cookie and candy pieces.
Fold the green piece at each score line and use the Bone Folder to reinforce the creases. Adhere the skinny end down to create a z-fold piece. Add this in the center of the Real Red base piece. Then add the glitter strips from the red Ombré Specialty Paper along the sides and the designer paper strips to the front.
Punch the end of the white strip, stamp the sentiment, and add to the front along with the cookie using Dimensionals.
Stamp the white 4″ x 4″ piece with the inside sentiment making sure it is in the middle or a little higher. Stamp the candy images in the upper left. (I cut one of the small candies from the set of five to have a separate single stamp. But you could also just be careful and only ink up one of them.) Add this layer to the inside.
Attach the die-cut candies to the lower right. Stamp a small one nearby.
And then use your Take Your Pick Tool to add the gems in the lower right and on the cookie.
If you like to add photos to your Christmas cards, you could add one in the middle that measures 2-1/2″ x 4″.

So much has happened in the “demonstrator world” this past week. Our yearly big convention called OnStage was held online this past weekend AND those of us who attended had the opportunity to preorder a few select products that will debut in early January. So new products are in my hands (yes, I expedited my order)!
We had a fun team event on Zoom just before the virtual convention began on Thursday night. And my upline, Susan Campfield led us in a make-n-take: a fun fold card called a Diagonal Joy Fold Card. I loved it so much that I’ve been making other versions of it since! So of course I have a version to show you with some of the new product.
But I wanted to walk you through another version of this card that is more relevant to the month we are in right now with products you can get now (from the 2021-22 Annual Catalog) AND products that are the focus of our current promotion right now (the Seasonal Sale).
I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating this Diagonal Joy Fold Card using the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set and coordinating Poinsettia Petals Dies. Tomorrow is the last day to sign up (or have an active subscription) for Paper Pumpkin so you want to receive the next kit, the November 2021 Love, Santa kit (see below for peeks and details). So I thought I’d share one more card idea that I created with my leftover elements from the October 2021 Peaceful Christmas Paper Pumpkin Kit.
If you are someone who loves to add photos to your Christmas cards AND you love to create your own holidays cards with paper crafting products, you’ll love this fold. It not only allows for a bit of creative space, but your photo is seen when the card is closed AND open.

And here it is open. Ooo…ahhh! Don’t you just love the trees?
Wondering where to sign it? My thoughts are within the area of the trees on the inside with a bright colorful (or white) gel pen. OR have a space on the back side to add your sentiments and signature/s.
Here are a couple other versions to show that you can coordinate your card supplies to colors you may have in your photo.

Measurements for one card…
Basic Black Cardstock
4-1/4″ x 8″ scored parallel to the short side at 5-1/2″
2-5/8″ x 3-3/4″ (represents the photo)
Colored Cardstock
2-7/8″ x 4″
Ribbon
13″
“Trees” kit card base
Vertical 4″ x 5-1/2″ piece cut into three sections (see directions section)
Kit label
1/2 label
Directions…
Stamp the sentiment on the 1/2 label piece.
Cut the “trees” card base into three sections so that the bottom and middles sections are 2-1/4″ tall and the top section is an inch tall. Keep them in order.
Add the top section to the bottom of the front flap of the Basic Black card base. Tie on the ribbon.
Add a section of vellum trees with a Glue Dot or two hidden under the ribbon area.
Add the stamped 1/2 label piece.
Adjust the ribbon if needed. Then open the card and add the middle section to the inside top most area of the Basic Black card base (above the score line). And add the bottom section just below the score line. Then add the colored cardstock below that.
Add a photo (or the smaller black cardstock piece if you want an additional photo mat).
And then close the card and add a couple rhinestones or jewels.
