One of the newer kits in the Kits Collection by Stampin’ Up! is the Cozy & Bright kit which features enough supplies to make 12 festive holiday cards with classic pine, cinnamon, and orange designs. I couldn’t help myself… In a goal to stretch the kit to make even more cards I was able to triple the cards from the kit with these sets of designs. If you want to do the same, you could pick one of these three sets or make ALL of them. Each set of three is made from one card and one envelope from the kit. So all together I got these nine cards from three kit cards.

Basic White Cardstock
(2) 4-1/4” x 11″ scored parallel to short side at 5-1/2”
Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
5-1/2” x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to short side at 4-1/4”
Kit envelope
Cut to 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″
Kit card
Cut card in half down the middle, then cut the design and the back at 2-3/4″ to get 4 equal size pieces. Cut each of those to 4-1/8″ wide paying attention to where the cuts are going on the designs.

Tips…
Add one 2-3/4″ x 4-1/8″ solid green piece and one 2-3/4″ x 4-1/8″ printed design piece to each card. But tear a long edge of the solid one before attaching.
Punch a row of trees and then trim up what you need. If your sentiment is longer, you may want more than just 3 trees.
You can use the kit scraps from the punched out pieces, left over envelope scraps, or even Basic White cardstock to make the 5/8″ tall sentiment strips. I stamped those, trimmed them at an angle, and added them with Dimensionals.
Wrap the cinnamon sticks with Linen Thread. Add the orange, and then add the sticks with Dimensionals.
For the third card stamp the sentiment, then add the printed envelope piece with Dimensionals.
Stamp the insides of the cards if you wish.

Tips…
You can use the kit scraps from the punched out pieces, left over envelope scraps, or even Basic White cardstock to make the 5/8″ or 3/4″ tall sentiment strips.
Add the solid green piece to a white card base. Then add a stamped sentiment strip.
Layer the punched leaves behind the small orange. Wrap the cinnamon sticks with Linen Thread. Add the orange, and add the sticks with Dimensionals. Then add one more star anise tucked into the left corner.
For the second card add the printed green piece to a white card base. Add the large orange and star anise. Then add a stamped sentiment strip with Dimensionals.
For the third card stamp the sentiment, attach this envelope piece to the gold strips, then add the printed envelope layered piece to the front.
Stamp the insides of the cards if you wish.

Cut card in half down the middle, then cut the solid half at 2-3/4″ to get two pieces that measure 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″. Cut the printed into two pieces the long way to get a piece that measures 1-7/8″ x 5-1/2″ and a piece that measures 2-3/8″ x 5-1/2″

Add the large orange to the larger printed base, and trim off the excess for the second card. After folding the z-fold base, add the printed pieces. Wrap the cinnamon sticks with Linen Thread and attach with Dimensionals. Stamp the inside sentiment.
For the second card layer the punched leaves behind the small orange. Add the leftover orange section and the smaller orange to a solid green layer.
You can use the kit scraps from the punched out pieces, left over envelope scraps, or even Basic White cardstock to make the 5/8″ tall sentiment strip. Add it with a Dimensional. Then add a large star anise with a Dimensional and small star anise.
For the third card stamp the sentiment, then add the printed envelope piece to the other solid green layer. Add it to the card with Dimensionals.
Stamp the insides of the cards if you wish.

I’m hooked on the Pop-Out Bendy Fun Fold card! I shared my first one on August 20th with the Apple Harvest Stamp Set and Apple Blossoms Dies, the second one on August 22nd with the August ’22 Sweet Sunflowers Paper Pumpkin Kit, and the third on August 24th with the Aspen Tree Dies, Lights Aglow Designer Paper and Leaf Fall Embossing Folder. Hahaha! So if you are hoping I’ll be done, I can assure you I have different cards & projects planned for the near future. But for today, let me share with you one more.

I had intended to get this card posted this morning, but I was at the Minnesota State Fair all day yesterday with my son Nick,…
his high school marching band, and the many parent volunteers. I was one of these chaperones/band parent volunteers. So I got to be there right in the action of their parade performance with the water…
and to cheer them on later for their TV 5:00 news performance.

It was so amazing to see the hard work and dedication of the kids and all the others involved. It was fun to laugh at the goofy moments like these. (Nick with his girlfriend Jaylene are attached at the hip. Both of them are quad players).
And it was fun to be able to spend some relaxing fair time there with the other parents and especially my sister Renée (her son Rob is one of the bass drum players in the band). By the way…this Island Hopper is the BEST food there at the fair! My family is going back there on Tuesday. And I’m going to get this again for sure.

Did you catch the blog hop I participated in a few days back on August 20th? Those of us in that hop each featured a fun fold card called the Pop-Out Bendy card. I used the Apple Harvest Stamp Set (available now) and Apple Blossoms Dies (which will be available September 1st) in my version of this fold.
Well… I got hooked and made a few more cards with this fold. One of them I shared on August 22nd. And the other two I’m showing you today.
In fact I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating this Pop-Out Bendy Fun Fold Card with the Aspen Tree Dies, Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set, Leaf Fall Embossing Folder, and Lights Aglow Specialty Designer Paper. I also showed another version of this card I made with the Christmas Pinecones Dies. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. I won’t be live on YouTube today. It’s a busy holiday week for me. So instead I thought I’d share with you the cards I sent out to those in my Stampers With ART Community. I needed to make a little under 250 this year, so I kept it simple but used beautiful images, papers and extras.
I invested in several packs of the Beauty of the Earth designer paper to use two of the double-sided papers. Then I cut those papers into 3″ x 4″ pieces and attached them to the card base in such a way so that when closed you would see one side and when open you would see the other.
I wanted to avoid bumps and ridges so the cards would go through the mail easily and require standard forever postage. But I also wanted sparkle. So I used a flat strip of White Glittered Organdy Ribbon on each.
And I knew I wanted cut out leaves next to the stamped leaves images. But at the time Stampin’ Up!® didn’t have a leaf punch (one is going to debut on January 4th though!!!). So I used the largest die in the Forever Flourishing set and cut it into seven sets of leaf clusters.
This is the first design which has a more Autumn look to it.
And here is the second design with the cooler, more wintery tones.

Beauty of the Earth Designer Paper
3” x 4” (pay attention the direction when cutting and adding to the card)
White Glittered Organdy Ribbon

Directions
Stamp sentiment. Layer this white piece onto the navy piece.
Position this sentiment piece to guide you in stamping the front leaves. Do not adhere. Open the card and stamp another set of leaves so it will appear to peek out from the designer paper layer (use the paper as a guide if needed). Add a set of die-cut leaves next to the stamped ones.
Place the designer paper on the lower portion of the inside of the card so there is an 1/8” border under and on the sides. Add adhesive about 1/2” down from top edge, then close the front flap to connect.
Wrap ribbon from the inside around to the front connecting the ends with Glue Dots in the area where the sentiment layer will be.
Add the sentiment layer while also tucking in the second set of leaves.

If you celebrate Christmas or even some other holiday during this season, then I’m guessing some of these things are going on in your world, too. But I just thought I’d share a few photos of what’s been happening in MY world this past month.
Besides putting up many outside and inside decorations (even before Thanksgiving) and listening to lots of Christmas music, we’ve gotten into the spirit when we attended the GLOW Festival in St. Paul on December 3rd.
My kids are growing up WAY too fast. Here is Nick (my 16 year old) with his girlfriend Jaylene. We baked and decorated a bunch of cookies on December 4th and December 11th. I used to do this a lot more when the kids were little. And I’m grateful that Nick pushed me to do this again this year. I absolutely love making Christmas cookies! In fact we are doing more of this tonight to replenish our supply for Christmas Day.
This past weekend, we enjoyed spending time & celebrating Christmas in Harmony, Minnesota with my husband’s side of the family. Terri and Jim are such generous hosts. They always have plenty of food, festive decorations everywhere, and a place for everyone to sleep comfortably.
Getting together with family is truly the joy of this season.
And the kids have been performing in music concerts this month. Nick’s band concert was December 9th. Then he played percussion for the orchestra concert on December 14th. And this past Monday, the 20th Luke, my almost 15 year old performed with his high school choir. Such talent! These concert are a great reason to just sit, enjoy, and appreciate.
We have more to come….more baking, wrapping more gifts, cleaning and more decorating. And then we host for my side of the family on Christmas day.
