Today at 11 AM Central Time I’ll be hopping on my Facebook Page to broadcast live and share several ideas and projects that I made with the Brightly Gleaming Suite of products from the 2019 Holiday Catalog. Here are three of them that I’ll be explaining how to make. Products I used… See below for a list of products mentioned linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Our Copper Tea Tins go so well with this suite! And THIS tin shows off much of the awesome suite product: the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set, the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack, the Brightly Gleaming Foil Elements, the Brightly Gleaming Designer Paper, and the Star Designer Elements.
Here is an actual ornament I made from 25 punched ornament shapes, the large star from the Brightly Gleaming Foil Elements, some hot glue and some Multipurpose Liquid Glue, some Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon, and a couple punched circles (2″ and 1/2″).
It looks harder to make than it really is.
Do you remember me sharing how I turned the Countdown Christmas Project Kit into a Halloween “Pick a Drawer” game back on my August 19th blog post? And do you remember the list of ideas I shared for other ways to use this kit?
Countdown to a vacation or a special visit
Countdown to a wedding
Countdown to the birth of a baby
Countdown to another holiday
Countdown to someone returning home
Drawers to hold craft items/embellishments
Drawers to hold notes/memories/trinkets for a couple celebrating an anniversary or for a soon-to-be bride
Drawers to hold notes of gratitude for Thanksgiving
Drawers to hold jewelry
Drawers to hold 25 things that are special about you or 25 reasons why I love you
Well… I love the green and copper designer paper in the Brightly Gleaming Designer Paper pack (I’m a huge fan of the color green!). And so I decided to decorate a set of these drawers with that sheet and another more solid green sheet from the pack, some Pearls, and some Star Designer Elements. Ta-da! I think this needs to be a permanent addition to my craft room.
I’ll give how-to tips for these three projects and more. I sure hope you can join me live! If not, stop back on Saturday to see the recorded version of that broadcast that I will post here on my blog. And see photos of the cards and other ideas I share.

I got this corner-cut layout idea from a swap I received on the incentive trip from Ann Clemmer. (I shared it along with my other swaps on July 18th.) I thought it was clever and unique.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements…
Pretty Peacock Cardstock
4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ and folded in half for the card base
Scrap for die-cutting/embossing the leaf (or use what is left over after cutting off the corner of the card base)
Gray Granite Cardstock
4″ x 5-1/4″
Early Espresso Cardstock
2-15/16″ x 2-15/16″
Scrap for punching two leaf clusters
Champagne Foil
Scrap for die-cutting/embossing the leaf
Come to Gather Designer Paper (pattern with white pumpkins and gray background)
Two pieces that are 1-3/8″ x 1-3/8″
Come to Gather Designer Paper (pattern with polka-dots on gray background)
Two pieces that are 1-3/8″ x 1-3/8″
Directions…
Measure 3″ up the right side and 3″ across the bottom from the lower right corner of the folded card base. Mark those two spots with a pencil. Then cut diagonally to remove the lower right corner of the card front.
Stamp the large leaf image on the upper left corner of the Gray Granite Cardstock using Pretty Peacock ink. And attach to the inside of the card.
Attach the Early Espresso square to the front of the card with Dimensionals.
Stamp the two sentiments with Early Espresso ink on the card front in the upper left and on the Gray Granite layer peeking out on the lower right.
Adhere the designer paper pieces to the Early Espresso square (now a diamond).
Die-cut and punch the leaves. (The dies also emboss at the same time!) Adhere them to the middle of the diamond using Glue Dots and Dimensionals.
This is what it looks like when I prepare to mail out my Stampers With ART make-n-take materials. My friend (and assistant) Vicki Spicer came over to help me with this process. Yay! Love that gal!
I’m already in the process of planning the October 16th make-n-takes. ?
This past Sunday was our fantastic Creative Connections event in Medina, Minnesota! Our local leaders group puts this on for our team members each year. This year I helped with assembling name tags and checking in the 290 attendees when they arrived.
Everyone does their part in some small or large way. Those that demonstrated and presented this year were Sue Nurnberger, Amy Rich, Lisa Schultz, Beth Tetzlaff, Dawn Olchefske, Bj Peters, Donna Griffith, Brian Pilling, Kay Kalthoff, Patsy Waggoner and Karen Titus.
The room was packed with energy and ideas. There were display boards everywhere, prizes for everyone, and opportunities to visit and take photos. People were swapping cards and having a grand time soaking in what they could.
Thank you to Terri Gaines, Susan Campfield, and Georgia Giguere for taking the lead once again on this super affordable training event! Those in my team that attended were all smiles! And how fun it was to have Brian Pilling and Donna Griffith from the Stampin’ Up! home office spend their day with us again.
And it’s amazing what can happen with all these creative people get together! I’m looking forward to next year. Be a part of my community and you’ll be able to take part on August 9, 2020!

I just love the Coffin Treat Boxes in the 2019 Holiday Catalog. They are adorable as little coffins for Halloween treats of course, but I also turned one into a tombstone treat box! And… if you caught my Online Paper Crafting Class on Facebook Wednesday, you saw that I also shared how to turn this box into a boat. ?(I’ll share photos of the boat and the video of the class here on my blog tomorrow if you didn’t catch it on Facebook.)
Here are my coffins. This first one I demonstrated for my Stampers With ART Stars in our Tuesday, September 10th Online Team Event.
I sent everyone in my group the coffin box base and lid, some Basic Black Scalloped Edge Ribbon, two stamped sentiments and two framed images from the Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set, the die-cut black Ornate Frame piece, and a little of the designer paper from the Monster Bash collection. During the demo, I shared making this box and how to spruce it up with the Blends Markers and a bit of Real Red Ruched Ribbon.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Here is another version using the Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green Blends and the other sentiment inside the coffin.
And this is the coffin box standing upright turned into a tombstone instead!
I paired it with this cute note card that I made with a piece of 6″ x 3″ Basic Black Cardstock scored at 3″ and folded in half AND embellished with smaller tombstones that I punched with the Timeless Label Punch and a couple Monster Bash Enamel Shapes.
Sponging some Basic Gray ink on the Basic Gray punched tombstones gives a spookier feel to the cemetery scene. I’m excited to hand these out at Halloween!
Please remember to stop back tomorrow when I share how to turn this box into a boat.

I’ve been receiving more cards, and I want to share them with you today! Some of these are birthday cards, some are swap cards, some are just “thinking of you” cards, and the last one is a card that I made at a recent team meeting. Fun, fun, fun ideas!
Have you ever made one? Basically the card part inserts into the “flower pot” which is created with an angled-cut piece of cardstock folded two times like this (see below). No need to take it apart as I did in this photo. I just wanted you to see how it worked. All you need to do is slip the insert (with the flowers attached to it) in and out of the flower pot. The sentiment images come from the Special Celebrations Stamp Set.
Make sure the flowers are attached to the insert above the top edge of the flower pot – ideally just in the center of the flowers so that the petals can hang over the pot when the insert is all the way in. Theresa used the large Daisy Punch, the Medium Daisy Punch, and the Leaf Punch along with the coordinating Daisy Lane Stamp Set.
And another fellow Demonstrator Council member, Elizabeth Wright sent this adorable “Cow’s It Going” card that she made with images from the Over the Moon Stamp Set.
This next card by Mackenzie Grimme makes my mouth water. (Someday I will find a gluten-free apple pie comparable to the one I used to make. Apple pies are one of my favorite treats!) Mackenzie used the Basket Weave Embossing Folder and the Harvest Hellos Bundle (the stamp set and punch) along with some ink tricks to make this tasty card.
Kristie Strumm gave me this other card, too. (Such a sweetie!) She used the stamp set, the dies, the felt from the embellishment kit, and the designer paper from the Follow Your Art Suite.
This last card is one that I assembled from the make-n-take pieces I received at my upline, Susan Campfield’s demonstrator event on August 24th. She got the idea for this Overlay Fun Fold card from Lisa Curcio, and blogged about it on August 20th with a different card design. It was a fun and easy card to make. And I LOVED that we used the Peaceful Pines Bundle (stamp set and dies) to make it.
I appreciate you stopping by today! Needing to set aside a day to make cards? Did you know that Saturday, October 5th is World Card-Making Day? What a great excuse to gather with your friends for a day of creativity and fun! If you are planning a card-making event, I’d love to hear about it.
Today is the last day to get in on the September 2019 Paper Pumpkin, Bone Appétit kit! It includes 20 food-safe treat boxes, a unique and exclusive Halloween stamp set, and a spooky, special-edition box. September’s kit also gives new meaning to the word “handmade.” Coordinating colors are: Basic Black, Gorgeous Grape, Pumpkin Pie, and Whisper White Click here to get your subscription started by September 10th for this next kit.
I’m forming a new Paper Crafters club that will begin mid-September (with orders due mid-month for October, November, December, January, February & March). And we are looking for just ONE more to join us. The commitment is to order at least $25 worth of Stampin’ Up! product in each of those 6 months. In one of those months, you would reap the hosting rewards (free merchandise based on the club orders). And then you’d also be able to get in on monthly product perks that would be sent to you along with your monthly club cards.
