I had a request to share how to create envelopes from designer papers to fit cards of various sizes. I also had a request to demonstrate the Translucent Floral Stamp Set in a video. So today’s card is larger than normal, has a custom-made coordinating envelope, features the Translucent Floral Bundle, and involves some fun ink blending techniques.
I think it’s stunning! I hope you do, too.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating this unique and stunning card and DIY envelope with the Translucent Floral Stamp Set, Translucent Floral Dies, Blending Brushes, Daubers, Wink of Stella, Delightful Floral Designer Paper, and other coordinating Stampin’ Up!® product. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. I’m easing back into paper crafting! And I’m excited to share with you some fun alternate cards that I designed using one of our festive Kits Collection kits: Christmas Everywhere. But first I want to remind you that today is the last day of the Oct 2023 free shipping promotion! Click to shop.
(I can’t believe I forgot to mention this in my Live. 🤦🏼♀️)
…
This Christmas Everywhere kit has supplies for making 9 cards and contains a stamp set. I don’t know about you, but when I make Christmas cards, I don’t just make nine. And for many of us it’s hard to justify purchasing multiple kits to make more cards knowing that we’ll end up getting a stamp set with every kit. So, when it comes to a holiday card kit, I definitely think it’s valuable to have a way to at least double the amount of cards you can create.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for how you could expand the Stampin’ Up!® Christmas Everywhere Kit to make MORE than double the amount of holiday cards by just using the kit & some extra cardstock and envelopes. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video by clicking here (or you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog post), scroll through the close-up photos that follow, check out the measurements & products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.

My hand is healing well. And I’m taking precautions to cut down on repetitive actions such as typing. In fact I am now using the dictation option within a Word document to create a lot of my blog post text …text that I can just copy and paste. And I’m discovering other ways to balance out using both my left and my right hand when it comes using the computer. Nothing like surgery to make you practice healthier habits.
I hope you enjoyed what I shared today!

#APaperPumpkinThing Welcome to our monthly APPT blog hop to showcase Paper Pumpkin kit alternate projects! This time we are highlighting the September 2023 With Love & GratitudePaper Pumpkin kit. See what I have to share. Then check out all the other blogs in the hop for additional creative ideas my fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator friends shared. (If you are receiving this blog post by email, click HERE to see the hop.)
Here are the mini cards and gift boxes the kit instructs how to make. (Click here for a link to Stampin’ Up!’s how-to video to help you assemble these as intended.)
I’ve already shared a few other alternates using the contents of this kit on September 22nd and on September 23rd. Be sure to check those out.
Today I am sharing how I would “Halloween this kit” a bit.
ExtraProducts I used… See below for a complete list of extra products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.
The kit does come with pumpkin die-cut images. But for a more traditional pumpkin color you can use the stamp image in the kit with pumpkin pie ink to create orange pumpkins.
So for the treat box I did just that… stamping the image on some scrap white cardstock and using my Paper Snips to fussy cut around the image. The stem is stamped with Early Espresso ink which I also used on the banner. The sentiment I used is from the September 2021 Haunts and Harvest Paper Pumpkin kit. If you don’t have that past kit you could search for a sentiment elsewhere or use the Early Espresso marker from the Neutrals Collection to write the sentiment.
I then curled the banner using my Bone Folder, added the pumpkin in the middle with a Dimensional, tucked in and attached the gold leaves with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, added the banner with a bit of adhesive under the left end, and I added some gold embellishments from the Brushed Metallic adhesive Backed Dots.
I decided to deviate a bit more from the kit when making my Halloween card. First of all, I wanted a full-sized card and I wanted to use traditional colors again. So, I stamped my pumpkin the same way. I cut it out using my snips, but this time I drew on a face with the Early Espresso marker from the Neutrals pack.
Then I decided I wanted the pumpkin to be part of the word “Boo!” AND I really wanted it to stand out. So instead of using Early Espresso Cardstock behind the lettering, I used Basic Black (which is one of the colors in the designer paper layer).
Below are the measurements you’ll need for the card base & layers.
Measurements…
Basic Black Cardstock
5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4″
2-1/2″ x 3-3/4″
Basic White Cardstock
2-1/2″ x 3-3/4″
Scraps for die-cutting letters and for stamping and fussy cutting the pumpkin
Them Bones Designer Paper
4″ x 5-1/4″
After cutting all of my layers to size, I simply assembled the card using Dimensionals from the kit, Seal Adhesive for quickness in adding the paper layers, and Multipurpose Liquid Glue underneath the thin letters.
And that’s it!
I hope I inspired your creativity with what I shared today! If you did not get this kit, I hope you can apply these ideas to products you already own.
If you are not a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, I invite you to give it a try. CLICK HERE to learn more. CLICK HERE to sign up by October 10th for this next kit…

The the images in the stamps, dies, and paper designs are perfect for building scenes. So of course I had to do just that. The card I’m sharing today is a simple diorama card. But you could go beyond and make multiple layers and really build up a fun city scene with even more detail.
My original plan was to make a few variations of this card. But I ran out of time before my hand surgery. So now I leave that up to you! Please share with me the variations you come up with.
A few hours ago I shared live on YouTube and on Facebook step-by-step directions for creating this card with the Let’s Go Shopping Stamp Set, the Let’s Go Shopping Dies, the Les Shoppes Designer Paper, the Soft Shimmer Paper, and other coordinating Stampin’ Up!® product. I used the Them Bones Suite of products to make this adorable Square Column Fold Halloween Card that I’m sharing with you today.
On 9/20/23 I demonstrated how to make a Square Column Fold Card using the Layering Leaves Stamp Set. And on 9/26/23 I shared another I had made with the Translucent Florals Stamps and Dies. Check those out for more inspiration.
I have to say I was pretty excited after creating this card yesterday with mainly my left hand. For those of you that didn’t know, I had surgery to repair a rupture on the sagittal band of my right middle finger on 9/21/23. My right hand is my dominant hand. So I have to say it’s been a little bit of a challenge dong pretty much everything. But I am so grateful to all of those who have been helping me make it through these past couple of weeks (a special thanks to my surgeon, the nurses, the medical team, my sister Renee, my mom and dad, Theresa, Gretchen, Rose, Jaylene, my boys, and my husband Tim)!
I get the stitches out today and go into a brace that allows a bit more movement. So hopefully tomorrow I’ll be able to use my right hand a little bit during my Online Paper Crafting Class.
Be sure to watch the instructional video in my September 20th blog post first to get an idea of how this type of card comes together. And then read through the measurements supplies and tips below so that you can recreate this version of the fun fold card.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements …
Them Bones Designer Paper (plaid pattern)
(2) 1-3/8” x 5-1/2”
1-3/16” x 5-1/2”
Them Bones Designer Paper (plaid pattern)
Scraps for die-cutting the 3 skeletal figures
Basic Black Cardstock
5-1/2” x 10-1/8” scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4”, 5-3/4”, 7-1/4”, and 8-3/4”
Scrap for die-cutting the small circle (approx. 1″ diameter)
Basic Gray Cardstock
1″ x 2-5/8″
Scrap for die-cutting the tombstone
Glow In The Dark Specialty Paper
Scrap for punching the 1-3/4″ circle
Here is a photo of the finished card from above to show the “wobble” behind the skeleton guy…
…and close up in the dim light to show off the glow of the moon.
This card is pretty simple to put together if you’ve seen the video for the first card. I punched the Basic Gray banner before stamping it. And then I made sure to add it to the card base with Dimensionals so it lines up with the moon when closed. The designer paper strips, the tombstone, the cat & dog, and the moon are all added flat to the card base with Seal Adhesive or Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The skeleton guy is mounted onto a small 1” diameter circle of black cardstock that I cut using the Reach For The Stars Dies. This way I had enough surface area behind the skeleton for mounting the wobble. Be sure to add your skeleton with the wobble on the back so that he’s positioned straight up and down when released. You may have to do a little adjusting before you press it in place permanently. I love how the skeleton dances when the card is pulled from the envelope!
Oh!…and remember to add the embellishments.
The card folds flat in this direction to fit into its envelope.
And it opens up flat in this direction for ease at writing and signing on the tombstone.
Thanks for stopping by to see what I had to share today. I hope I inspired your creativity!

Last week I demonstrated how to make a Square Column Fold Card. In that video I shared a peek at this card that I’m going to give you details on today.
Be sure to watch the instructional video in that September 20th blog post first to get an idea of how this type of card comes together. And then read through the measurements supplies and tips below so that you can recreate this version that I put together with the Translucent Florals Stamps and Dies and the beautiful coordinating Delightful Floral Designer Paper.
Wouldn’t this make a fantastic wedding card?! And it’s fairly easy to make.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.

Basic White Thick Cardstock
5-1/2” x 10-1/8” scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4”, 5-3/4”, 7-1/4”, and 8-3/4”

Scraps for stamping and die-cutting flowers, leaves, and branches
Here are photos of the finished card from above…
…and close up.
The large flower is stamped with Calypso Coral ink and added with Dimensionals in the middle just above the sentiment strip. The one behind and above it is stamped with Berry Burst ink and added with Seal Adhesive. It has the look of being a bit lifted because the end was curled up a bit with a Bone Folder
The leaves are inked in three colors… first with Lemon Lolly ink directly from the ink pad, then with Parakeet Party ink and pretty peacock ink using Daubers to apply the ink. The ends were curled up a bit and then added with Seal Adhesive. And the smallest flowers are stamped with Fresh Freesia and added with Dimensionals.
The branches are then added with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and tucked under the top and under the bottom of the bundle of flowers.
The card folds flat in this direction to fit into an envelope.
And it opens up flat in this direction for ease at writing and signing.
