Last week I demonstrated how to make a Square Column Fold Card. In that video I shared a peek at this card that I’m going to give you details on today.
Be sure to watch the instructional video in that September 20th blog post first to get an idea of how this type of card comes together. And then read through the measurements supplies and tips below so that you can recreate this version that I put together with the Translucent Florals Stamps and Dies and the beautiful coordinating Delightful Floral Designer Paper.
Wouldn’t this make a fantastic wedding card?! And it’s fairly easy to make.

Measurements …
- Delightful Floral Designer Paper
- (2) 1-3/8” x 5-3/8”
- >1-1/8” x 5-3/8”
- Basic White Thick Cardstock
- 5-1/2” x 10-1/8” scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4”, 5-3/4”, 7-1/4”, and 8-3/4”
- 1/2” x 2-3/4”
- Scraps for stamping and die-cutting flowers, leaves, and branches
Here are photos of the finished card from above…

The large flower is stamped with Calypso Coral ink and added with Dimensionals in the middle just above the sentiment strip. The one behind and above it is stamped with Berry Burst ink and added with Seal Adhesive. It has the look of being a bit lifted because the end was curled up a bit with a Bone Folder
The leaves are inked in three colors… first with Lemon Lolly ink directly from the ink pad, then with Parakeet Party ink and pretty peacock ink using Daubers to apply the ink. The ends were curled up a bit and then added with Seal Adhesive. And the smallest flowers are stamped with Fresh Freesia and added with Dimensionals.
The branches are then added with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and tucked under the top and under the bottom of the bundle of flowers.
The card folds flat in this direction to fit into an envelope.
And it opens up flat in this direction for ease at writing and signing.

US BACK-TO-SCHOOL SALES TAX HOLIDAY
Thirteen states and Puerto Rico are offering a sales tax holiday for school supplies during the months of July, August, or September. Products that are eligible according to the statute include “items normally used by students in a standard classroom for educational purposes.” To see the names of participating states, products exempted from tax, and sales tax holiday dates 2023 Tax Holiday spreadsheet here. If you want to get in on the tax holiday, you must place your order with Stampin’ Up! during the tax holiday period in order to receive these items tax-free (which is midnight on the first day to midnight on the last day of the tax holiday). Also, keep in mind that this is a state sales tax holiday; the state statute may not apply to county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.
If a person joins as a hobby demo, then the person has to buy or sell how much, in what period of time?
In the US the minimum sales amount for any demonstrator (hobby or business) is $300* retail each calendar quarter (with the demo min. 20% discount, the cost is more like $240*). The quarter you sign up in is waived though. So if you get the starter kit in October, the first $300 in sales/personal purchases is due by the end of March 2024. Plus there is no penalty for dropping when you no longer can submit the minimum sales.
