Today I’ve got a fun fold card to share that actually came together in a unique way. My team member, Amy Rudd was in charge of leading the make-n-take project for our last team event. She shared her drawings and measurement information with me ahead of time. I guess I didn’t fully understand what she was explaining though, because the sample card I ended up creating and sharing during the event was slightly different. Hahaha!
Since that team event I’ve seen a few other cards out there that are similar to mine (stair step cards) but require a bit more cardstock. I wanted to keep my 11″ length, BUT I also wanted the back to prop up as part of the whole scene. So I altered it more and added an easel. I also decided to name it a “mountain fold” because of the peeks and “display” because the easel allows it to stay upright.
I’m traveling with my son Luke right now. (We are in Los Angeles, CA.) So I wasn’t able to be live today for my Online Paper Crafting Class. Instead I pre-recorded a video for this unique card and shared it on YouTube and Facebook. I used products from the new Bee Mine Suite from Stampin’ Up!’s Jan-April 2024 Mini Catalog which just debuted January 4, 2023.

With the Silver Foil Specialty Paper recently sold out and the Holographic Specialty Paper currently unavailable in the US market, I decided to look into other ways to create a metallic look for the soda/pop can images. One way is to color creatively with Stampin’ Blends alcohol-based markers. And another way is to add Enamel Effects (a big thank you to fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, Kylie Bertucci for sharing her fun Simply Sparkling cards recently that encouraged me to play around with the effects).
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating these metallic effects with these fun Stampin’ Up!® product. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. I learned a creative fun fold card from my friend Alanna Wharf. It’s called a Back Fold Card, because the card folds back to allow the front to open. So I thought I would share more new products debuting in the Jan-April 2024 Mini Catalog and demonstrate this fold for you today.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating this card (three versions of it!) with the Ice Cream Swirl Stamp Set, Ice Cream Swirl Dies, Lighter Than Air Designer Paper, Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots, Baker’s Twine Three Color Pack, and other coordinating Stampin’ Up!® product. Today I’m sharing an adorable gift box that I created with products from the Bee Mine Suite (the Bee My Valentine Stamp Set, the Bee Builder Punch, the Sweet Sorbet Bordered Ribbon, the Square Pillow Boxes, and the Hearts & Flowers embellishments), a Wobble, and the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder.
Because the suite products are not available for everyone yet, you will not be able to view them in the online store. But I have included the names and order numbers in my Product List at the end of my post so that you can find them come January 4th.
Isn’t this bee adorable!? And he wobbles so it looks like he’s a happy, dancing bee!
Before assembling the pillow box, run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. (FYI…the opening will be on top.)
After assembling, tie on a length of Sweet Sorbet Bordered Ribbon around the middle securing the bow off to the right. Remember…the box opens from the top so the ribbon won’t have to be removed.
Stamp the black stripes & stinger image first onto a scrap of Basic White Thick Cardstock with Tuxedo Black ink. Then stamp the bee body with Daffodil Delight ink and stamp the smiling face with black. (I thought it was easiest to connect the two images by stamping the dark one first.) Stamp the wings two times in Daffodil Delight ink and the antennae once in Tuxedo Black ink on other scrap pieces. Then punch them all out and glue them together to form the bee.
Adhere a Wobble to the box tucked in just above and behind the ribbon (you can see this in the above photo). Then add the bee to the other sticky end of the Wobble. Be sure to move the bee to make sure the Wobble works (and because it’s fun). And finish off with the yellow and red heart embellishments.
It’s a good size box… 4″ x 4″ x 1-3/4″ (10.2 x 10.2 x 4.4 cm) when assembled. Plus the boxes are food safe and stampable.
As I mentioned on Friday’s post…Stampin’ Up! demonstrators get to order early. So the products in this suite aren’t available for everyone quite yet. But I hope you enjoy getting peeks at what will debut on January 4th. This suite will be quite popular I’m sure. It’s perfect for creating Valentines. And so I predict many ordering these items right away.

As promised, today I’m sharing a few more creations from my talented friend, Rose Kerry. She was kind enough to send these Halloween cards she had made with products she earned as a demonstrator in my Stampers With ART community so that I could have a second post of creative inspiration during this time while my hand is healing from surgery. These cards will really get you into the Halloween spirit!
You may have noticed the insides of every card Rose makes are just as decorative as the outsides.
I love how she used the designer paper sheet containing all the divided card layer sections on many of her cards. That designer paper really completes the scenes!
She stamped her skeletal images with VersaMark Ink on Basic Black Cardstock and then heat embossed with white embossing powder to create her bone white characters. TOO fun!
I love how she also used a Sponge Dauber to sponge the edges of her gray cardstock to give depth to the ground and the tombstones.

This is a fun card that I wanted to demonstrate in video format for you all today, but it was too hard to fit that into my day. It’s the first day of a new catalog, and those first days are usually pretty busy for me helping my team and my customers. Plus it was the first day of school for my boys and our exchange student. We had things to prepare for last night, and coordinating everyone this morning was a bit of a challenge. But they all made it out the door in time! Yay.
Here is my Pop Out Standing Step Card that I made with the Zoo Crew Suite. This is what it looks like from the front.
And here it is standing. The two “step” sections in the front act as a base for the card.
Because this designer paper has a ton of critters, the variations of this card that you could make with this suite are endless!
Products I used… a complete list of products I used is shown below, and everything is linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements …
Basic Black Cardstock
4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
1-1/4″ x 4-1/4″
1″ x 4″ scrap for die-cutting the scallop “top curtain”
Scraps for die-cutting the two side curtains
Basic White Cardstock
3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″
5/16″ tall strip
Distressed Gold Specialty Paper
3-1/2″ x 4″
Scrap for stamping and fussy-cutting tutu
Zoo Crew Designer Paper (black with white scallops)
4″ x 4-1/4″ scored parallel to the short side at 1/2″ (starting at the top of the design), 1-1/4″, 2-1/4″, 3″
6″ x 4-1/4″ scored parallel to the short side at 3/4″ (starting at the top of the design), 2-3/4″, 3-1/2″, 5-1/2″
Zoo Crew Designer Paper (dancing critters)
Scraps for fussy-cutting or die-cutting all six critters
Directions…
Prepare the pieces above. Add the gold paper to the top of the black base piece as shown. Connect the b&w designer paper pieces (with adhesive along the 1/2″ wide ends) to form steps. And add them at the bottom so they touch the bottom edge of the black base. Add the die-cut side curtains as shown. Then add the top scallop curtain with Dimensionals.
Attach the front black panel to complete the stage. Then add the critters. I added the back one with glue on the back of the legs and a Dimensional behind the head. I added the small front one with a Dimensional. The rest of the dancers are just glued in place with glue under the feet.
Embellish the card with the stars and pearls.
You can see here how the steps are connected.
So of course flattening the steps in an upward position will allow the card to fit into an envelope.
Next stamp the skirt of the leopard onto the scrap gold piece. And fussy-cut.
Stamp the leopard and the “You’re TOO wonderful” on the white layer.
Glue on the gold skirt.
Then hand-write “TUTU” on the white strip. Trim the excess and glue on over the “TOO”
Attach this layer to the back of the card.
Here is that photo of the front again. It’s such a fun card to make! I hope you enjoyed my idea.

US BACK-TO-SCHOOL SALES TAX HOLIDAY Thirteen states and Puerto Rico are offering a sales tax holiday for school supplies during the months of July, August, or September. Products that are eligible according to the statute include “items normally used by students in a standard classroom for educational purposes.” To see the names of participating states, products exempted from tax, and sales tax holiday dates 2023 Tax Holiday spreadsheet here. If you want to get in on the tax holiday, you must place your order with Stampin’ Up! during the tax holiday period in order to receive these items tax-free (which is midnight on the first day to midnight on the last day of the tax holiday). Also, keep in mind that this is a state sales tax holiday; the state statute may not apply to county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.
