I learned a creative fun fold card from my friend Alanna Wharf. It’s called a Back Fold Card, because the card folds back to allow the front to open. So I thought I would share more new products debuting in the Jan-April 2024 Mini Catalog and demonstrate this fold for you today.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating this card (three versions of it!) with the Ice Cream Swirl Stamp Set, Ice Cream Swirl Dies, Lighter Than Air Designer Paper, Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots, Baker’s Twine Three Color Pack, and other coordinating Stampin’ Up!® product. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video by clicking here (or you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog post), scroll through the close-up photos that follow, check out the measurements & products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.
I hope you enjoyed what I shared in this video. Below are measurements, close-up photos, and a product list for what I demonstrated. (Please subscribe to my YouTube channel or tune into my events on my Facebook Page so you can get updates when I share and go live). Bonus… for those of you who use A4 cardstock, you’ll be happy to know I’ve included metric measurements, too!
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.

Your card was very cute and the fold was awesome! Enjoyed watching you from Morris, MN. I have been stamping for about 15 years. Great Hobby!
An awesome hobby for sure. Love how we can bless others with what we craft.
(Thanks for the compliment, too Linda.)
Hi Rachel, I am so enjoying your blog and youtube videos. You always have such unique ideas! The fun fold today is so cute, and adding the “sprinkles” on the cones is such a great idea. Hope you have a Merry Christmas!
Glad you enjoyed this card idea. Thanks Laura. Hugs to you. And Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Rachel- your card is so cute. I love the fold. I will need to try it!
Thanks Joan!
This is such a simple, and brilliant card, Rachel. I’ve never seen a back fold before, but it’s a great idea I must try. Thanks for sharing it and all your tips.
Also an extra thank you for sharing an A4 version. While I’m very used to converting US measurements, it’s very considerate and generous that you think of those outside the US & Can who can’t easily do this.
Thanks Diane! It takes some time to convert. But when I have the time, I like to do that. Math is one of my passions. Hahaha!
Thanks Rachel for demonstrating a back fold card. Love them.
Aww..thank you Kylie.
