It was delivered late afternoon on Monday. I was able to play around on Wednesday and record and edit my video these last couple days so I could bring to you my first set of alternate projects using the June 2021 Expressions in Color Paper Pumpkin kit!
This kit contained the supplies shown below to make nine colorful and beautiful cards.
But I never assemble my kits as is, because I like to show subscribers other ways to use those supplies. I like to think outside the box…see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards, scrapbook pages and more. So today I’m sharing with you…

I created more alternate projects using the contents of the May 2021 Batter up Paper Pumpkin Kit and a few extra Stampin’ Up! supplies such as extra cardstock, the Tailored Tag punch, the Layering Circles Dies, a red marker, and more. And I wanted to share them with you today – the second to the last day to make sure you have an active Paper Pumpkin account so you don’t miss out on the NEXT kit…the June 2021 kit.

Six alternate card ideas (including three fun-fold cards!) – making each of these 3 times doubles the cards in your kit
Today I am sharing a fun spinner card that stretches tall when open.

Measurements…
Balmy Blue Cardstock
4-1/4″ x 11″ scored parallel to the short side at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″
2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″
Basic White Cardstock
Scraps for die-cutting circles (for forming clouds)
Garden Green Cardstock
1″ x 4-1/4″
Granny Apple Green Cardstock
1″ x 4-1/4″
Real Red Playful Pets Trim
Two pieces that are 1″ each
Directions…
Die-cut the smaller Balmy Blue piece as shown using the 2-5/8″ and 1-7/8″ diameter Circle Dies. Die-cut white scraps to get multiple circles which will later form clouds. I die-cut one 2-3/8″, two 1-5/8″, two 1-3/8″, and two 1-1/8″ diameter circles.
Stamp sentiments on the two that you’ll want to have as centers of the clouds.
Add Dimensionals to these parts and pieces as shown. Be sure not to have the Dimensionals positioned too close to the circle edges on both cardstock pieces.
Make a coin sandwich by connecting the coins with a Dimensional (keep everything centered as you make the sandwich).
Add them to the bottom fourth of the card base by first adding the outer piece, then the sandwiched coins so the raised cardstock fits inside the coin sandwich, and then the inside circle. (Be sure this is centered as perfectly as you can get it. AND be sure the circle fits inside the coin sandwich on the opposite side.)
Prevent the coin sandwich from escaping by adding the Garden Green strip as shown (about 1/8″ from the bottom edge).
Add the main cloud sentiment circle using Dimensionals when the card is closed so you can see it completely. Keep the Dimensionals in the middle of the circle so you can tuck other circles under and around.
Finish building the clouds with the remaining circles.
Add the ribbon pieces using Glue Dots from the kit.
Draw in three dots (an ellipses) before the word “ever.” Add a blue rhinestone and draw in the rest of an exclamation mark after the word “ever.”
Add the Granny Apple Green Cardstock strip and a baseball bat die-cut from the kit.
And this is what it can do!

I used the supplies for three kit cards and turned them into six. So technically I doubled the cards in the kit AND got treat bags to boot – 18 cards and 9 treat bags. Woo hoo!

Today is the last day to sign up (or have an active subscription) for Paper Pumpkin so you get in on this month’s May kit (see details below). So I thought I’d share one more card that I put together with some of my leftovers from last month’s So Cool kit.
I added in some cardstock, Rainbow Glimmer Paper, and sequins. And I used a die to make the bite in the popsicle, but a scallop circle punch would work. Isn’t it a fun card?

Measurements…
Basic White Cardstock
4-1/4″ x 5-7/16″
Basic Black Cardstock
2-3/4″ x 11″ scored parallel to the short end at 5-1/2″
Rainbow Glimmer Paper
Two pieces that are 3/8″ x 5-1/2″
After prepping all your pieces above, die-cut the popsicle with the small scallop circle to create a bite mark.
Position the popsicle on the Basic Black layer (fold it to help center the popsicle). Then line up the die…
…keep it in place with a sticky note, open up the cardstock, and run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
Add the glimmer paper strips to the Basic White layer.
Lay the Basic Black across the front of the Basic White layer as shown and stamp the sentiment within the bite mark area.
Wrap the Basic Black around to the back (don’t attach yet), then open the front, position the popsicle stickers adding them only to the white and not the black cardstock. Then pull the black away and trim off the tops of the stickers and set aside.
Wrap the black cardstock around again and attach the back to the back side of the white layer. Open up the card and add the sticker tops so the stickers are a small distance away leaving room for the fold in the black cardstock.
Then finish off the card by adding the Artistry Blooms Sequins to the front.

I’ve already shared some other alternate projects using the contents of this kit on April 26th.
Today I am sharing party invites that I mass produced with the Stamparatus and some easy but cute gift pouches for party guests.

The gift pouches are super easy to make. All I did was cut my envelopes from the kit in half. Then I trimmed off the sides to open them up.
I turned them inside out and resealed them with Tear & Tape (along the bottom) and Stampin’ Seal on the side.
This is what they look like on the back side.
I added a layered sentiment piece with Basic White (1-1/4″ x 3-1/2″) and Basic Black Cardstock (1-3/8″ x 3-5/8″), Rhinestones and a stamped sentiment from the kit in Tuxedo Black ink.
I filled my sample one with some odd but colorful treats (I was laughing when all I could find in the house was Kool Aid and a pack of Craisins. hahahaha). I guess if I was having a cool treats themed summer party, I’ll probably put a $5 gift card to an ice cream shop and a pack of Pop Rocks in there instead.
Here is what I did to make the invites.
First I stamped the popsicle images all over a piece of cardstock that I colored with multiple ink colors using the Blending Brushes. Click here, click on the video, and then scroll to the 21 minute mark to see how I colored that cardstock and added droplet images. I then fussy cut those popsicle tops.
Next I pulled out my Stamparatus and easily & quickly stamped 16 note cards with two stamp images at the same time.
I added a 1″ x 5″ strip of the envelope liner paper (you can get 4 from each envelope) and a 5″ length of Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon to the bottom of each card front, added a colored popsicle top with Dimensionals, stamped the splatter image in matching ink colors, and added Rhinestones.
I have 16 cards ready to personalize with party information on the inside. Now I just need to set a date and have the boys give me their guest list so we can enjoy and celebrate together outside when school is out.
