The mail carriers are busy this time of year, so it’s understandable that my December 2021 Lots of Pun Paper Pumpkin kit came just a few days ago, a little later than usual. But I opened it up Wednesday morning and started creating. I recorded my video yesterday in the early morning while my family was asleep. hahaha! And then hurried to share my first set of alternatives with you today! Yay!
This cute kit contained the supplies shown below to make nine pun-filled cards.
But I never assemble my kits as is, because I like to show subscribers other ways to use those supplies. I like to think outside the box…see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards, scrapbook pages and more. So today I’m sharing with you…
How I turned the supplies for 3 cards into 12 cards (how to quadruple the cards in the kit!)

So I thought I’d share a couple more projects that I put together with some of my leftovers from last month’s Gifts Galore kit. This first one is a simple scrapbook page.
I used the Pine Tree Punch from another tree that I had cut incorrectly for another project to get that mini tree in the title piece. The title piece is up on Dimensionals (that aren’t interfering with the photos) and so is the mini tree. Additional cardstock used: Evening Evergreen, Poppy Parade, Basic Black (to represent photos OR to use as added photo mats), and Goil Foil through the middle.

My second idea is Balcony Fold Card. It’s put together in a similar fashion as the card I shared in my last post on Wednesday, December 8th. Because it’s a bit more elaborate than the scrapbook page above, I’m going to suggest you watch my how-to video from Wednesday (if you haven’t already) and then just follow the extra tips below for this version.

Pool Party Cardstock
5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″
Scrap for punching sentiment piece
Basic White

1-1/2″ x 4-3/8″ for belly band front snow layer
2-1/4″ x 7-1/2″ scored parallel to short side at 3-3/4″ and 1/2″ in from each end

All the white pieces above have an extra 1/2″ of height to allow for tearing.
I cut my snowman just short of 5-1/2″ tall. Then I cut that bottom piece in half and scored each of those 1/2″ up from the bottom. These two pieces became the side extensions to make the snowman base 5-1/2″.
This gave me the “back balcony” layer.
Hopefully the rest makes sense by looking at it. Again be sure you watch my how-to video from Wednesday so you know how to add the balcony layers and belly band.

So I thought I’d share one more card idea that I created with my leftover elements from the October 2021 Peaceful Christmas Paper Pumpkin Kit.
If you are someone who loves to add photos to your Christmas cards AND you love to create your own holidays cards with paper crafting products, you’ll love this fold. It not only allows for a bit of creative space, but your photo is seen when the card is closed AND open.

Wondering where to sign it? My thoughts are within the area of the trees on the inside with a bright colorful (or white) gel pen. OR have a space on the back side to add your sentiments and signature/s.

Directions…
Stamp the sentiment on the 1/2 label piece.
Cut the “trees” card base into three sections so that the bottom and middles sections are 2-1/4″ tall and the top section is an inch tall. Keep them in order.
Add the top section to the bottom of the front flap of the Basic Black card base. Tie on the ribbon.
Add a section of vellum trees with a Glue Dot or two hidden under the ribbon area.
Add the stamped 1/2 label piece.
Adjust the ribbon if needed. Then open the card and add the middle section to the inside top most area of the Basic Black card base (above the score line). And add the bottom section just below the score line. Then add the colored cardstock below that.
Add a photo (or the smaller black cardstock piece if you want an additional photo mat).
And then close the card and add a couple rhinestones or jewels.

Today I am sharing a festive Christmas-themed scrapbook page layout and a coordinating Bridge Fold Card with you.
I may have to make another set of these pages. I love how they turned out!

Tips…
For the background just cut in 1″ wide “C” shapes starting from the outside. (I got the idea from a set of pages that fellow demonstrator Chan Tal shared on Facebook in a demonstrator-only group. Isn’t this a fun?)
Cut the sides off the two envelopes to open them up all the way. This allows you to cut one with the trees along the bottom and one with the trees along the top. I recommend cutting those sections first before cutting the other two envelope pieces.
Remember to add the vellum tree pieces using adhesive only where the it will be covered.
The punched silver and black trees from the Evergreen Border Punch are just layered together so the black looks like a shadow to the silver.
Everything is flat to the pages except the “Holiday Cheer” page title piece which is added with Dimensionals.
The card is quicker to make. It’s a Bridge-Fold Card and really impressive when pulled out of an envelope because it pops out into its shape right away and can stand on it’s own.

Tree printed card base pieces from the kit
5-1/2″ x 6-1/4″ scored parallel to the short side at 1″, 2″, 4-1/4″ (a score line that would already be there), and 5-1/4″

Tips…
After scoring and folding the card base as shown, stamp any sentiment on the backside (where you can also sign the card).
Tie the ribbon around the Basic Black piece, add the punched and layered trees behind, and attach to the card base sides. To attach flatten as shown below: one side folded over on itself and the other open and flat. Then add the sentiment piece with Dimensionals.
The last step is to decorate one of the trees with “ornaments” (Red Rhinestones).
