So I wanted to share just a few more card ideas with the stamps from last month’s Safari Celebration kit. And today I have my blog post linked to posts from those in my PPX exclusives video crew. I brought in a few extra inks, the Heart Punch Pack, the Artistry Blooms Sequins, and Basic White Notecards to make these. (See below for a complete list of extra products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.)
For this first card, I used Soft Succulent, Pear Pizzazz, and Soft Suede inks to stamp the leaf image in a random pattern. I stamped the sentiment on my extra green rectangle piece from the kit, layered some Soft Suede Cardstock behind, and added it to the card with Dimensionals from the kit to make it stand out a bit more.
For this second card I brought in the Stamparatus tool to stamp my images so evenly apart. I used the Rich Razzleberry ink from the kit and Fresh Freesia. Then I used scraps of Fresh Freesia and Blackberry Bliss Cardstock to punch the hearts with Heart Punches. This layered piece is up on Dimensionals. And then I accented with Artistry Blooms Sequins.
For my final card I punched a heart through the front layer of the notecard. While keeping the card open I stamped the leaves and speckles with Balmy Blue and Mango Melody ink. Then I inked the edges of the heart with a Dauber. I used Tuxedo Black Ink for the “Yay” stamping that in the center of the punched out white heart.
I then layered that heart onto a Basic Black scalloped heart, added adhesive to the back side of the black, positioned the white heart from behind back in the “hole” of the card, and closed the card to secure the layered hearts in place inside the card.
Lastly I embellished with the pretty sequins. So fun, and so easy!
These cards are strong evidence that your stamps can be used again after the consumables in your kit are used up.

Basic Black Cardstock
4-1/4” x 5-1/2”
3-3/8” x 4-3/4” for frame (cut 3/4″ in all all sides)
Fresh Freesia kit card
3” x 4-3/8” for frame (cut 3/8″ in all all sides)
2” x 7-1/4” scored parallel to the short side at ½”, 1-1/2”, 2-1/2” and 6-3/4”
1/2″ strip for sentiment piece – white side (length will depend upon where you position the chimpanzee)

Oh my goodness… The February 2022 Safari Celebration Paper Pumpkin kit is so fun! I’ve just finished my first set of alternate projects, and I’m excited to share them with you today!
This kit contained the supplies shown below to make nine animal/safari-themed cards.
As many of you know, I never assemble my kits as is, because I like to show kit subscribers other ways to use those supplies. I like to think outside the box…see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards, scrapbook pages and more. So today I’m sharing with you…

So I thought I’d share a few more projects that I put together with some of my leftovers from last month’s Kisses & Hugskit. And today I have my blog post linked to posts from those in my PPX exclusives video crew. So see what I have to share. The first of my three projects are these mouse cards (inspired by what I created with the January 2016 kit years ago). They are perfect for welcoming a new baby or to send as apology cards.

Measurements for two cards…
Basic White Thick Cardstock
(2) 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4″
(2) 4″ x 5-1/4″ (optional)
Going Grey Twine
(2) 6″
(2) 2″
Tips…
Cut a large pink heart from the kit and two small hearts tags (from the mini treat box add-on kit) in half.
Add sequins for the eyes. Add small gray Classic Matte Dots for the pupils. Add the ears on each mouse. And adhere the tails.
Emboss the smaller white and add to the front of the cards (optional). Then attach the mice either with Dimensionals or Seal. Then shape the tails and secure with small… VERY small dots of glue.
Tie the 2″ strands with knots in the centers. Fringe out the “whiskers” and add to the mice with glue.
My second project is this scrapbook page layout that I created with the negative pieces from the kit. I can see a bunch of black and white photo booth pics within all of the heart frames. Can’t you?

Blushing Bride Cardstock
12″ x 12″
Fresh Freesia Cardstock
Almost 5-1/2″ x 5-7/8″
Blackberry Bliss Cardstock
Almost 5-1/4″ x 5-5/8″
Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon

Tips…
Place all the white kit pieces evenly. Then work with one at a time adding glue just under the sections that will be covered by the center layered piece. (Photos – just over 2-1/2″ by just over 2-3/4″ – can be tucked under the areas that are around the outer edges.)
Add the Blackberry Bliss Cardstock to the Fresh Freesia piece. Adhere the XOXO pink heart. Then wrap around and tie on the ribbon securing the bow off the the left.
Stamp “love you” in the center of the white heart. Layer onto the vellum heart. Cut an arrow in half and add that to the layered hearts.
Connect these two layered pieces with Dimensionals. Then add the whole thing to the page with Dimensionals.
Finish by adding the Iridescent Rhinestones which reflect the Blushing Bride and Fresh Freesia colors on the page really well.
This last project is another scrapbook page – one that is a little less busy and has room for one big photo. A bit different the one above, right?! hahaha

Calypso Coral Cardstock
12″ x 12″
Blackberry Bliss Cardstock
5-3/4″ x 8-1/2″
Envelope from the kit
(4) 7/8″ x 7-1/4″
XOXO vanilla heart from the kit
about 1″ x about 3-1/2″
Tips…
Open the kit envelope by peeling it apart carefully. Then trim strips that each include two rows of letters. Attach these to the page with the first strip starting about 1″ from the top.
Ink up the arrow from the kit with Blackberry Bliss ink. Set aside to dry. (Be careful because the ink doesn’t absorb into the kit cardstock quickly. In fact I recommend wiping any excess with a tissue.) Cut the arrow in half.
Cut the striped large heart from the kit card. Cut the XOXO from the other heart from the kit card.
Add the Blackberry Bliss photo mat layer to the page. Add the large vanilla heart. Add the XOXO piece with Dimensionals. Add the arrow pieces with glue.
Stamp the hearts and speckles. Then add the sequins.

I’ve already shared some other alternate projects using the contents of this kit on January 27th. Be sure to click here to check them all out.
Today I am sharing some fun alternate box ideas with you that I made with the kit contents, the Kisses & Hugs Treat Boxes (add-on kit), and some extra coordinating products. (See below for a complete list of extra products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store.)
This first one is a way to hold a treat that might be a bit taller.
I avoided folding one of the taller ends, adhered the side flaps to the inside, and stamped “love you” at the top. I added two heart tags – pink side showing on one and white side showing on the other. And because the heart tags (that come with the treat boxes) are Blushing Bride in color, I used Blushing Bride ink to stamp the sentiment and the extra heart images.
After wrapping and tying on the gold cord, I attached the white stamped heart with a Dimensional and the pink heart with Seal Adhesive. Then I just added some Iridescent Rhinestones to conceal the punched hole area of the tags and add a bit more glitz.
Super simple!
The other five boxes are all made the same way.
You can see that these are each made from two boxes that are connected. So I used 10 boxes altogether to make these five.
The first step is to snip off the following parts…an end on each and side flaps near the cut end on one.
Then add Tear & Tape to the decorative side of the cut ends.
Connecting them is the part that may get confusing. You’ll want to bring the two trimmed ends together. The flaps all get tucked within when bringing them together. None of the four flaps (the two longer ones and the two shorter ones on that one box) should end up on the outside of the connected box. Once they are positioned correctly, then slide them together as tight as you can.
Go inside to grab the “backing” off the Tear & Tape pieces, and adhere to secure the connection.
Then decorate with the 2021-23 In Color ribbons, inks and jewels. Tie the ribbon on first. Then score down the middle of the hearts (with the scoring blade on the Trimmer), and stamp the X and O on each. Fold on the score lines and attach them to the boxes. Then add the jewels.
These now can hold twice as much when they are twice as long. And really you COULD keep extending by adding more boxes together.

Some of you may still be waiting for your January 2022 Kisses & Hugs Paper Pumpkin kits to arrive. The pandemic has not been kind to us in more ways than one. Delays in products and supplies is a world-wide issue right now. The January kits were one of these delayed products. And Stampin’ Up!® thanks you for your patience if you were in that group that needed to wait a bit longer. In fact my own kits have not arrived yet. I was just lucky that one of my subscribers loaned me theirs so I could release this video sooner than later.
I just put together my first set of alternate projects using this kit! And I’m excited to share them with you today! This fun kit contained the supplies shown below to make ten Valentine-themed zig-zag fold cards.
But I rarely assemble my kits as is, because I like to show subscribers other ways to use those supplies. I like to think outside the box…see what else I can come up with, and create alternate cards, scrapbook pages and more. So today I’m sharing with you…
Five alternate cards (three of them with different folds)
Two “Countdown to Valentine’s Day” projects
And options for turning the 10 kit cards into 30 classroom valentines.
