I’m bringing back my Layering Leaves Stamp Set as I share alternate cards I created with the Kindness Cards Kit and the Colorful Kaleidoscope Kit from the Kits Collection. (FYI…Kits Collection kits are on sale up to 30% off through the end of this month.)
It was fun to add leaves in purple and blue to a couple of these cards! You’ll want to refer to that March 13th post for the written instructions on creating the base design of these cards (and others). And then just insert the leaves before adding the sentiment layers.
Another kit I had to add Layering Leaves to is the Kindness Cards kit.
I have to admit, I wasn’t so sure about this one. It had sat wrapped in cellophane for quite some time. But I opened it up a few days ago and was very impressed. It looks much better in person! The eight mini chipboard cards come with a sturdy tin for storage and travel AND lots of sticker embellishments made creating alternate cards a lot of fun.
Here are photos of four of the kit cards assembled pretty much as intended. I’ll be carrying these around in my purse so I can give notes to people who brighten my days as I’m out and about running errands or dining.
The envelopes when closed measure 3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″.
The Basic Gray ink that comes in the kit gives nice bold accent images.
And of course the stamps are Photopolymer, so you can see through to where you are stamping making it super great for getting your words on these sentiment strips in the right spots. Aren’t the designs on the opposite sides of the cards beautiful?!
Then I got even more creative and put together full size cards by adding the kit cards, envelopes, and the embellishment pieces to full size card bases.

Then envelopes are adhered to the card fronts. And the chipboard cards can be removed.
I used similar embellishment pieces on the insides for continuity.
And here are the other two full size cards I made…
I used the same stamp images on all four cards because they are my favorites.
Below I have shared a few tips for putting these cards together.
Measurementsfor the extra non-kit pieces for one card…
Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
5-1/2” x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to short side at 4-1/4”
Scraps for stamping and punching two sets of leaves
Basic White Cardstock
3-1/4” x 4-1/2″
White 1/2″ Iridescent Ribbon
(2) 4-1/2″
Tips…
After stamping the white side of the chipboard card, add one of the circle stickers with a Mini Dimensional. Staple the envelope shut about an in from the bottom. And adhere the envelope flap to the back.
Stamp and punch the leaves and cut them each into two parts. The leaves for the front of the card are cut as shown above. The leaves for the inside of the card are cut into two sets of three leaves.
Wrap and adhere a strand of ribbon around the envelope. Tuck and adhere the leaf pieces. Add the the front of the card using Seal or Multipurpose Liquid Glue behind the top and Mini Dimensionals behind the two lower corners since they tend to lift off the surface of the card a bit anyway.
Finish the front by adding the stamped sentiment strip, the chipboard kit card in the envelope, and the tucked circle sticker.
Wrap and adhere the second ribbon around the Basic White inside layer. Add the the inside while also tucking and adhering the leaves.
Then add the stamped sentiment strip and the circle sticker.

This past weekend I was a guest demonstrator in a private event and was asked to demonstrate a card using one of my favorite stamp sets. Can you guess which set that was? 😉 Today I’m excited to be sharing that card with all of YOU. It’s a fun fold card (surprise surprise)! It’s called a Vertical Easel Card, but I think I may have called it a Side Easel Card when I demonstrated it on Saturday. There are a lot of fun elements to this card. But it’s quite easy to make.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating this card with the Layering Leaves Stamp Set, Masterfully Made Designer Paper, Tinsel Gems, Vellum, and other coordinating Stampin’ Up!® product. I had LOTS of leftover pieces from my class-to-go. So I couldn’t resist sharing one more strip card. 😜
My plan was to make several of the card I’m sharing with you today. But strip cards take a bit of time because you have to think as you build the background. So I gave up on the idea of reproducing this card after making this one. Hahahaa!
It’s worth making these though not only to use up strips of designer paper, but because they are eye-catching and intriguing when they are done. Below are the details and my tips for this card.

Tips…
For the background you will want to place your strips of patterned papers either side-by-side or at right angles leaving a small gap between each strip. To start the design though, choose two strips and place them at a right angle from each other. (Look back at my July 7th post for details and progression photos for building a “strips design” similar to this.)
I cut my sentiment stamp into two pieces. If you don’t want to do that you can mask to omit parts when stamping.
After punching both left ends of the sentiment layers, stamp the white one and connect them with Seal Adhesive. Then trim them even on the right end and attach to the finished white layer with the strips.
The white layer with the strips gets attached directly to my Lost Lagoon layer. Then that layer gets attached with Dimensionals to the Lemon Lolly card base.
Press a small clear block into the Daffodil Delight inkpad.
After stamping and die-cutting the leaves and flower, use a Blender Pen dipped into the ink on the block to add a bit more Daffodil Delight ink to the center of the flower. Then add these pieces and the Glossy Dot in the center of the flower.
For the inside of the card stamp the word “hooray” on the small white piece. Then layer all those remaining pieces as shown above.

I purchased some thin portable pocket lights from Amazon and got creative with one of them yesterday. And I’m loving the results!
I used this crazy looking rooster image and a couple sentiments from the Hey Chuck Stamp Set to make the pop-up light bulb a bit more decorative and of course “punny.”
The pack of 10 pocket lights are almost credit card thin and each come in kraft paper sleeves with printed directions. I didn’t want to toss out the directions. So I kept the sleeve in tact but added designer paper around the outside…because that’s what us paper crafters do to get fancy and make things coordinate. Right?
The lights also come with extra batteries. So I lightly taped one to the inside of the sleeve so my recipient would be able to replace the old one when it wears out.

Measurements
Basic White Cardstock
Scrap for stamping and die-cutting rooster
2″ punched circle
Masterfully Made Designer Paper
3-1/2” x 5-3/8”
Directions
Stamp “rise & shine” onto the pocket light with StazOn Jet Black ink. Stamp the rooster image onto the scrap white cardstock. And stamp “you’ve got something to crow about” on the white 2″ circle.
Color the rooster. I used Watercolor Pencils and then a Blender Pen for blending and softening.
Die-cut the rooster and attach him to the light bulb with three Glue Dots. The edges of the image may stick out a bit, so just curve them around so they hug the portable light base.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to add the designer paper to the sleeve…Start by gluing the designer paper just to the flat-edged outer third. Bend the sleeve and designer paper together to get the paper used to the creases. Glue the paper to the middle sleeve section. Bend the sleeve and paper together again around the last creases. And then glue that last section together. After the designer paper wrap has been added, you can either trim up the designer paper to match the sleeve end or leave as is (like I did).
Then glue on the stamped 2″ circle to complete the outer wrap.
I’m making more of these with the other 9. They were so simple and I’ll be able to finish them in no time. I can’t wait to give them to others.

Last summer my friend and fellow demonstrator, Linda Lancaster and her husband Butch hosted my family on one of the nights of our big road trip that we took out East in June. I was so excited to finally meet her in person and see their beautiful area where they lived in the mountains. We were spoiled by their gifts, great food, and warm hospitality…such a great time!
Included in the gifts was a card that Linda gave me with a big flower on the front.
It’s a very pretty card and I’m excited to say was the inspiration for the card I’m sharing with all of you today.
I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for how to fold paper circles and assemble this large Paper Dahlia. I use some of the new 2023-24 Stampin’ Up!® product that will debut on May 2nd: the Bright & Beautiful Designer Paper, the Layering Leaves Stamp Set, and a few brand new AND returning colors.And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. LAYERING LEAVES CLASS THROUGH THE MAIL The new 2023-24 Annual Catalog debuts May 2nd. And in it (on page 96) you will see my Million Dollar Achiever stamp set, Layering Leaves!! In less than 3 days my class (that will include the option to add in an autographed copy of the stamp set) sold out with over 300 registrants. I was blown away. Today I’m sharing the second card I assembled after receiving my Million Dollar Achiever stamp set, Layering Leaves.
I was inspired by this pretty card I received from my friend and fellow demonstrator, Amy Rudd. (She used the now-retired Splendid Day Suite to make her card.)
As you can see Layering Leaves is an all-occasion stamp set that coordinates with the Bough Punch.
This set is not available for purchase yet (not even for demo preorder). Stampin’ Up!® sent me my complimentary copy in March. But it will be available when the new 2023-24 Annual Catalog debuts May 2nd.
The first card I shared (and some details about how this set came to be) can be found in my April 3rd blog post. And I have more cards and projects that I’m creating! In fact six of them are for a class that I’ll be offering. And I’ll post information about that class tomorrow with peeks at those cards/projects. The class registration will begin at that time and include different sign up options! 😃
This card I’m sharing today also highlights the stamp/punch coordination. (So you’ll want to have both!) Here is the card closed.

Basic White Thick Cardstock
5-1/2” x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to short side at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4”
Two die-cut circles: ~1-3/4″ diameter and ~2-1/2″ diameter
Scraps for stamping and punching 3 sets of Parakeet Party leaves
Enjoy the Journey Designer Paper
5-1/4″ x 8″ – cut in half for two side-by-side 5-1/4″ x 4″ pieces
Coastal Cabana Cardstock
One die-cut circle: ~3″ diameter
Scraps for stamping and punching 2 tiny sprigs
Scraps for stamping and cutting 2 large leaves
2022-24 In Color Glimmer Paper
Four tiny sprigs
Vellum Cardstock
Two punched sets of leaves

Directions
Stamp & Punch all leaves and sprigs. Stamp and die-cut all circles. Prep all the rest of the pieces above. And stamp the ‘best wishes’ sentiment on the second designer paper layer.
For the circle layer…
Add the middle white circle to the blue so it’s off-center. Layer on the leaves and springs gluing sparingly and using the smallest white sentiment circle as a guide as you go. It may even help to just use regular tape to hold things in place.
For the top half I started with the Vellum leaves, then added the large blue leaf, then the stamped green leaves, then the glimmer paper sprigs, then the blue sprig.
For the bottom half I started with the green stamped leaves. Then I tucked in the blue leaves and the glimmer paper leaves.
Fold add the ribbons. Again…adding regular tape may help.
Add the small white sentiment circle with the help of Dimensionals.
Tie a bow in the twine. And add that with a Glue Dot.
Assemble in this order: the circle and leaves layers first, then add that to the first designer paper layer, then add the designer paper layers to the folded card base. The designer paper is thinner than the cardstock. So adding the assembled circles/leaves layer first will stiffen the top layer up a bit and make the over all experience much easier.
I absolutely LOVE the basic sentiments in this set! They make your cards that much more versatile. This card can now be given for any celebration or milestone…graduation, birthday, retirement, wedding, engagement, moving, etc.
